Breathing deeply sweat beds had formed on Kuma's brow, "I'll be ok. Just not feeling too well right now. Just want to rest."
"Stay awake son," she patted his cheek. Watching Moirrana she nodded then turned back to her mate, "I want to meet this creature in person." her eyes trailed to the kits, "But only after they are a little older," and nodded to them.

Kutai smiled and nodded, But he had a better idea. "Why not let me take care of the kits? I am capable. And you can meet him now. It's not too far from here, it's just higher up."
Moirrana finished the salve and added water and honey to make a broth out of it for Kuma. She heated it with her lavender flames and brought it over to Kuma. "Drink up Brother."

Looking at the broth with a bit hesitation Kuma drank then coughed more, "I don't like the idea of you going alone mom. You just recently had kits."
"I'm sure I'll be fine Kuma." turning to Kutai, "Do you think you can handle six newborns?"

Kutai nodded and kept his smile. "I don't see why not. If I can't, there are other experienced mothers who can help. That's what family is for after all." he said, moving over to the kits and wrapping them up in his tails. Then the realization hit him. "Wait a minute...SIX?! Where did the other three come from???"
Moirrana, satisfied that Kuma would be fine after the concoction, moved over next to her mother. "Let me come with you. I know exactly how to get there, and I know I can keep up with you no problem. That, and a familiar face will keep Kazrinth at bay."

Fuega sat down, still near Kuma. "That is something I needed to talk to you three about." Taking a deep breath, "They are of our family. It seems our wayward kin has had another batch of kits. This time they were dropped at the front of the cave with no note."
MM settled close to Kutai, "They are my younger siblings."
With sorrow in her eyes Fuega looked to the little ones, "I will be raising them. Just as I did the others. My unofficial children." When her daughter spoke up, "I will take you up on that. I am not at my peak and would rather have someone at my side."

Kutai looked at the three foreign kits and sighed. "Nonetheless, they are family and I will raise them as my own. There is no doubt about that." he said, letting one tail wrap around MM.
Moirrana smiled and nodded to her mother. "We can leave whenever you're ready mother."

Taking a moment to ensure that MM was safe, then to check on her first son. Against her normal behavior she nuzzled him gently, "Rest easy my son. Don't over do it. And make sure your father doesn't do anything stupid." She smiled to Kutai then nodded to Morri, "I am ready when you are."
MM snuggled up to Kutai happily. "We'll be ok Geegee."
Kuma coughed and nodded to his mother, "I will mom. Be safe out there."

Moirrana began trotting up the path to the cave where Kazrinth is currently residing. She checked back every now and then to make sure her mother way alright.
Kutai looked down to the six kits tucked under his tails, and then to MM. Then he laid his head down to rest. the burns on his side stinging still. "Was all well while we were gone?"

Fuega kept a slow pace, steadily making her way along the path.
MM looked to her great grandfather, "Not too much. Balin found the basked with these three in it. Oh and Nyoko came in chattering about some fish guy she met named Riga'mortis, that took her diving to some sunken ship deep under the waves so she could hunt for treasure. Geegee and Grandma Tama think she's just making up stories again."

Kutai tilted his head slightly at the story about Nyoko. Definitely strange, but not the strangest thing he's seen in his life. "I'd give her the benefit of the doubt. We are an odd family in and off ourselves, it would not surprise me that she met this Riga'Mortis. I wouldn't mind meeting this fellow myself."
After a little bit Moirrana and Fuega came to the cave that would soon be the new den. She hoped. "Here it is mother. The creature's name is Kazrinth. He's not a bad one. He is just defensive of his territory. Not as bad as us obviously, or he wouldn't consider letting us come in."

A clattering sound came from the cave and the scorpion like zune eased forward, "I thought the others smelled like you. Been a long time, lady of fire."
Fuega exhaled a bit of flame, "I thought it was you." her lips drew back, "You hurt my mate and my eldest son."

Moirrana looked at her mother and back at Kazrinth and then back at her mother, her jaw dropped and her eyes wide with surprise. "Wait..you..umm...WHAT?!"

Kaz wilted back, "It was self defense! I could smell you on them. They attacked me first! I was only trying to scare them off! Honest!"
Fuega snorted then turned to her daughter, "Yes dear. We know each other. I have patrolled all of our lands. I knew there was a cave here but I have never been inside." Nodding to Kaz, "This guy is a carrion feeder. Ever wonder what happened to the carcases of our prey?"

That thought never really crossed her mind. She simply thought the entire family used everything on the animal save for the bones. I guess it all makes sense now.
"Well...umm...this is interesting. So I guess we're gonna accept the deal then, mother?"

"Well Kaz. Do you really mean to share you den? I have six little ones that will need a safe haven and out current home has become to cramped." her spotted tail swished.
The small claw like scythes that attached just above his forelegs pulled close to his body, "Don't be mad..." he was actually a little smaller than them. He cowered a bit, "And I am serious. As long as I have a space we could benefit from each other. Extra protection and I can dispose of any unwanted wastes....."
"Then it is settled, " Fuega nodded, "I will send word when we are ready for the migration."
