"Guns are perfectly respectable. Especially if you know how to aim properly." Jerry pressed, smiling weakly at the new trainee, feeling a bit better with a specific task to concentrate on. He noted Rep's packet, and scooped up his mug to find hot water for him. "Back in a J-jiff."

"Only half terrible okay? The freezing cold part was terrible but it had its high points I guess." Like Nevada in her undergarments? Yeah. It was nice to look at if a bit embarrassing and awkward for the mission. He tried to look away as she leaned over rubbing her cheek against his. The red in his cheeks growing long before he even sipped his drink at this point.

He worked at his main plate finishing what was left before Nevada had second ideas to take it pointing his fork at Rep, "Ah yeah you have a point getting in close would stop it." He let out a squak at Nevada plopped on his lap forcing him to lean around to talk to Rep.

"Some guns spray a wall too damn big, and Sylvia isn't exactly as big as Tracey for bullet blocking." At this he gave Nevada a poke to her sides.

His eyes fluttered shut for just a moment, and he smiled, contented; relaxed. They could do this. They had been through so much worse.

"Mmm, thank you ma'am," Wash rumbled, sliding his plate a little closer and picking up his fork. "Don't blame ya on the turkey. Ofie did 'er best, but, well."

He didn't know what else to say about that.

Nevada was still contently happy in her friends lap as she waved her fork again. "You see Roland!" Nevada laughed, "Indeed Handsome, You charge is quite a fearsome thing in itself though, your weapon...I am glad that I got to face it first hand. I would never want to be on the side when you seriously aiming to maim someone." She leaned over, "I've yet to face any halloweeners..." She shrugged before looking at Roland. "I do admit that it was nice to see the boys strip down. Although Lex likes his layers."

"And Rep is excatly right! I am no good with close range attacks at all!" She laughed, her fork waved down to Jerry now and offered a blooming smile. "Ah another hunter to agree! Hello!" She waved to Jerry, not quite catching his name but being friendly all the same.

"Excuse me Roland...If you continue, I'll do something Drastic..." She pulled at his cheek in retatalation to his poking of her sides, her lap balanced her plate of pie as she took a bite with her free hand. "I take it that a lot of you are melee users? Is Tracey the biggest weapon?"

Jerry soon returned with the carafe of coffee, carefully pouring his own as he returned to the conversation. "I ah... put water on for your cocoa, Rep, it'll be hot soon-" His attention went back to the new face... fresh enough to never even faced one of the monstrosities. Pity flicked across his features for a moment. She was already friendly with Ro... how long would it last before the pressures of their job crushed them?

Hot coffee splattered on his hand and he dipped the pot up quickly before any more was wasted. "Er, anyone else want coffee? N-nice and fresh!"

"Miss Clarice has a fairly enormous Sword, but Tracey definitely comes close as far as biggest as far as I know. Not that it means anything." He gave a forced laugh teasingly to Rep, but there was still an underlying current of anxiety.

"I'm Jerry, by the way. Jeremy Collins, Sun Division. What are you equipped with, then?" See? Making new friends!

Easier to talk to when she's already in someone else's lap, huh?

Jerry ignored Roar. That had nothing to do with it. Cooped up on the island for how many months without reprieve, ANYTHING new was a welcome distraction.

"Maybe, but blocking bullets with Tracey isn't really ******** optimal either, I'd sooner have someone else's shield in the way while I do the offence part." He didn't comment on how bizarre he thought doing an artifact hunt in your skivvies was, instead tried to give Nevada as polite a smile as he could manage. "I think the best advice is like, keep your clothes on." He knew how hard that advice was for most women to take seriously.

Rep held out his mug again. "I'll have some coffee man, it's no big. I'll just like, throw hot chocolate in it." It wouldn't be the first time his need for the stuff had resulted in convenient but awful combinations. It turned out orange juice and hot chocolate were not and should never be friends.

At the discussion of weapon sizes, Rep found himself oddly uncomfortable. Tracey all but preened in his mind, but he was less than enthused lately about the apparently rapid growth of the axe he weilded. After all, it had cost Rin her arm, and he had no idea if Tracey was going to stop. Ferros hadn't and was now enormous, and Raeg too pushed into the realms of the superhuman with his size. "Eh. Tracey's not the biggest. Ferros and Clarice's weapons are both larger. "

Roland didn't comment on having to face Tracey first hand. It seemed to be a topic best avoided considering his scar, and well. Rin. He didn't know the details but he wasn't about to open that can of worms at the thanksgiving table. "You'll see them soon enough Nevada, and trust me, they aren't fun." To the later part he blushed rather hard even with the liquor and took another quick sip from his cup. He didn't do shots, he was more of a sipping man.

Or as Jordan knew a very very sad drunk who drank from the bottle in a way that would put him up there with Jerry on a bad day.

"Oh sure yeah, I saw what your little what pigeon or what ever his name is could do? He nearly ate my shield in one shot if I hadn't hit half of it with Sylvia." He gave her another poke before nodding to Jerry, he really wasn't as bad as Rep made him sound, though he still recalled the Jerry hyped up on coke from the one mission. That was amusing.

"I'll take a coffee." He reached over for a mug giving Nevada another poke as his cheek was tugged on. "Oie stop that or I'll do something worse" An empty threat most likely.

"And that's what Harrison and the other moons are for." He raised his cup to the quiet moon hunter. "And the occasional mist who you know, gets in the way of the attacks." He also gave Nevada another poke, "Told you keep your clothes on, Rep's technically both our seniors sooo now it's legit advice."

He paused frowning, "You know I still haven't seen Ferros cept when he was a golem..." He frowned a bit, "If he's bigger then Tracey I don't think I really want to..."

Otto managed to withhold his laughter after a moment, especially when pie came to the table.

Pie. It was important.

"Sweet!" He exclaimed, a hand reaching for some damn pie.

Hazel stood up from her chair, having no idea what was really going on at the moment, and quite frankly, she was getting kinda bored. Better to just leave while she was still having good thoughts.

"Well, I'm stuffed like a turkey, and it's been fun. I shall see you all again sooner or later." Hazel looked at everyone that was in eye-sight.

"It was nice meeting you. You have been awesome-"
she tipped her glass to Jordan,

"-It was nice meeting you, we should meet again-," turning her glass to Eva,

"-You have been fun, thanks for the music, I'm glad no one died and came back-," pointing her glass to Jerry,

"-You have been the most amazing for having this shindig-," aiming her glass to Melvin,

"-You, you, and you-" looking at Rep, Wash and Sasha, "-seem pretty cool in my book. Thanks for the two potatoes and the drink."

"-And you... I hope you enjoyed the special something I gave you," she gave a menacing grin to Otto... and then to his juice cup, "Banana."

Hazel chugged the drink Eva had filled for her, let out a great ahhhhhhhhhhh.

"Who ever is the last person to leave, please return my jars. Happy Thanksgiving, folks!"
and with that, she took her slice of pie, shoved it into her mouth like the cookie monster, and went back to her room.

Now this chatter was nice. Although Eva wasn't listening quite as intently as she would have liked--the drink had made her mind mildly fuzzy and, somehow, a little sleepy--she waited until Otto had gotten his pie before leaning his head on his shoulder, using him as her personal pillow lest she doze off. Somehow though, she managed to shake off her drowsiness long enough to say goodbye to Hazel, and then take another good look at the hunters gathered around the table. Eva squinted at a familiar face, wondered when she had showed up, and then lifted her other hand to wave.

"Hi, Nevada! Good to see you again!" She offered the young woman a grin, and then her curious gaze slid to Rep. They were...ah, talking about their weapons, then? Weapon sizes, to be more exactly. Making a face, she shook her head with a little laugh.

"Geez, props to you guys with the giant weapons--I don't know how you lift them. Is it as tough as it looks?" She looked between Rep and Jordan, but then there was a pause as she suddenly began squinting at the redhead. Wait a minute. He seemed familiar--had she ended up on a mission with him before in the past? It had been a while back, but...

After a moment of searching her hazy mind, she suddenly perked up in and motioned towards him. "Ah ha. Rep, right?" Good, good. Just making sure. There were a number of faces she wasn't well acquainted with here, she noticed, though she wasn't sure it was the best time to start introducing herself when she was so close to dozing off.

Sasha didn't eat. Instead, she pushed her food around on her plate while listening with interest to the conversations going on around her.

Gently resting her fork on the edge of her plate, Sasha pushed back from the table and rested a hand on Rin's shoulder.

"I'm finished. Please, enjoy your supper." There was a quick, tense smile as she gently squeezed the other woman's good shoulder before rising to her feet.

Sasha turned to Wash, moving to step behind him. She leaned over his shoulder, a hand pressed against his chest as she whispered a quick, quiet something in his ear before slipping out of the room.

Jerry seemed surprised by Rep's announcement but, well, it WAS good coffee after all. "Making Mocha?" He gave an uneasy grin before glancing up for Hazel's goodbye, his face flushing. He was glad she liked the music but.... raising the dead? What?

He'd.... figure that one out later. With the same lopsided smile he gave her a wave before topping Rep's cup and then Ro's.

"I think weight is... er... circumstantial? I don't know if that's the word I'm looking for, ahaha... but I mean... Roar is easily ten times bigger now then when I was a trainee and yeah, he's hefty but I wouldn't call him too heavy- I can still lift him with these noodle arms, ahaha..." He lifted the coffee pot to illustrate.

"Coffee for anyone else?" His own mug was steaming tauntingly at his place setting. He caught Sasha's movement out of the corner of his eye, glancing over as she whispered in Wash's ear and sauntered off.

His face went red.

Ignore it. Ignore it. Let her go. And he did without a second glance.

"Good," Jordan said, and brushed his fingers absentmindedly over the bandages on the back of the injured hand. "Yeah, guns aren't cheating. Range has its advantages, but so does close combat."

"Some for me, please," he requested when Jerry brought the coffee back, and held his mug up to be filled, then added some of the whiskey.

Ferros grumbled softly in his mind as Nevada asked if Tracey was the biggest weapon; Rep's response, however, made the dragon preen, and Jordan laughed. "It's relative," he put in. "Every weapon is shaped differently, so it's hard to judge who's really largest, Ferros's ego aside."

Hey!

You were asking for that, you know. Aloud, Jordan continued, "Like, Raeg is all blade, Tracey's blade is smaller but he's a polearm, so he's got more length, and Ferros has a lot of mass. The weapon bond makes them subjectively lighter - " he nodded to Jerry, " - so Ferros seems to weigh about as much as a sledgehammer when I'm holding him, but anyone else trying to pick him up wouldn't be able to get him off the ground." He grinned wolfishly. "A couple of freaks have made the mistake of trying to grab him away from me. Doesn't go well for them."

He saw Jerry's glance and his expression, and the way Jerry determinedly quashed his own reaction. Good. Jordan put a hand on Jerry's arm, briefly, lightly, and said nothing about it.

Rin was distractedly staring down the potatoes Sasha served up for her. Contemplating how to get them all in her mouth. Hopefully not all at once. She grabbed her fork and gave it all a testing poke before shoveling right into it. Gazing up curiously at Sasha as she seemed to be making her leave. She offered a weary smile and swallowed her mouthful, "Thank you Sasha. See you later, okay?"

Otto tried to ignore the fact Eva had her head on his shoulder, lest he go from pink faced to red. But then as Hazel said her goodbyes, and pointedly made mention of a gift... he looked down at his glass in horror.

She spiked his drink, that b***h.

Okay, he needed to leave before the alcohol he'd been slipped really got him goofy. Besides, Eva looked ready to pass out. She needed an escort back to bed before she did something goofy too.

"Yeah, I'll be headin' out. C'mon lush." Otto shifted to stand, wrapping an arm under Eva to help her up.
