HP: 35 The snake twisted about, the roar having discombobulated it. It roared and hissed and clawed at the air, writhing wildly in its stun. When someone jumped on its back, it bucked stumbled and in the process released Kleos, rolling to try to get the wherhandler off its back. It rolled in its franctic attempt to dislodge Siata. The effort, however, drove the knife deep into its body and lodged in a bone, causing it to bleed even Siata took a brutal blow..

[Siata - Totally not dying yet but super useless]
When she didn't instantly die at stabbing the tunnelsnake, Siata felt that brief searing triumph and thought 'HA! Beat you, you wherrie sucking jerk'. It lasted almost two seconds as that knife sunk deeper, as she caught a glimpse of it no longer on top of her wingleader friend.
That happy feeling promptly went away when the tunnelsnake rolled off of Kleos and right on to Siata's right leg. She swore she heard the bone break rather than felt it, but what she really heard was her own piercing shriek of tunnelsnake weight on femur, the shove of her body against the floor, and the roll of tunnelsnake muscles on top of her. Hello there, ribs, aching back of her head with some pretty sparkles in her eyes. Oh and look, the taste of blood in her mouth. Glorious.
Siata jerked to try to get free and only ended up hurting herself more, wheezing from under the crush of the tunnelsnake. She pushed at it, or tried to, but ended up just coughing violently.

[Siask - tag Freiask]
He spun on the gold wher with a brutal snarl, crooked sharp teeth bared without care that she was a gold. He slashed out with his own claws, ichor already flowing from her swat. The bronze emoted helplessly, the rage, the knowing his was in there and before he could go after the females throat, his eyes went white.
NO, NO NO it couldn't be, she couldn't be prone and bleeding and broken he was supposed to be there! Siask screamed, turning back to try and muscle his way through the sharding dragons. To between with the queen.

Raith [Action: Attacking Asterteth]
As agile as he was, the Blue did not go unscathed. He felt the burn of talons and teeth pierce his own hide, snarling and snapping at anything that go too close. Pain. He had learned to deal with pain. Been forced to with how often his rider suffered it. It still hurt and slowed his climb for height and advantage. Raith roared towards the Crimson in challenge, not acknowledging that she'd called him a traitor. He was one. And the Blue knew it. So what was the point in trying to deny it?
Hurry. He growled at his rider, twisting and circling around the Brown as he tried to attack him. More burns and stinging. More ichor spilled. But Raith was not an easy dragon to bring down with a few mere scratches!
Yes. I dare. Raith hissed in that chilly tone to Asoth, crimson eyes slanting in his direction before the Blue really worked his wings to fly faster... and disappeared between. He'd seen the dragon that was much much too close to his rider. Appearing above Asterteth, Raith snarled in fury as he landed heavily, using his momentum to bodily slam into the other dragon. And just as quickly he was taking to the skies again, lest the other dragons ground him for good.

Valik [Action: Attacking whatever human character posts first~ ]
He heard the dragons screams. Raith's fury. Saw, in his mind, that disappointed yet angelic face. He was terrified. Of failing. Of being captured. Of more pain. However fear of dying never crossed his mind. Maybe at one point... but the wraith of a man could not remember that time...
Enough! Get out of there before they catch you. Raith hissed.
I-I am going.
True enough. But a disfigured shell like himself could barely move to begin with! Moving swiftly was out of the question. He stumbled and cursed, the ache of freezing bones making it that much more difficult. He glanced over his shoulder... and there was something flying towards him. Valik cried out, losing his balance and hitting the ground heavily.
"N.. N-No! No... " His voice was soft and frightened, gravely from a throat so tortured by screams and cries.
Valikmine!
His only remaining bit of who he once had been was in his dragon. In their bond. He felt the rage radiating off Raith as his gem burst from between to attack another dragon. One that was much closer then the others! O-Oh Faranth! Valik scrambled to his feet and tried to head towards the thicker parts of the jungle. He found his hand had curled around a rock as he stood, and the desperate man threw it over his shoulder at whoever was closest.
Narisa and Cepheith [Tag Moriath, Plexith, Suunath]
Whether it was her own outrage of more of Moriath's, it was hard to tell. Cepheith let out a ground-shaking roar as her tail slammed down. Bring that traitor to use! The Gold snarled, lips peeled back as she fought every urge to launch into the sky and take care of that dragon herself!
Mine. It is HIM. That traitor dragon that has taken so much from us.
Narisa felt herself freeze where she was, eyes widening as her heart threatened to beat right out of her chest. That rogue dragon was here?! So none of this had been accidental. As she'd feared. Moriath's group attempts to capture Him and His. Her dragon added. Good. I don't want him killed! She stated firmly.
Faranth what did they do once they had him? If they captured him? Her mind just couldn't fathom that thought! So much was already on it. But they would look to her and Kindra... and Abigail for orders regarding the rider and his dragon.
Heavily wounded humans incoming. Cepheith informed her rider, still very much angered. But the distress from one of her dragon friends softened some of it as the Gold let her mind brush more firmly along Plexith's. Plexith, be calm. They will assist the humans off you as quickly as they can manage. I am here for you, my bronze.
Ceph, ask Suunath where hers is? She needed her friend. Needed to-
A Healer grabbed her arm desperately, pulling her beside her. Narisa didn't argue, quickly moving to the Healer's aide, finding herself once again coating her hands with blood as she tried to stop another injured from suffering too much blood loss. "H-Hang in there." She murmured, pressing firmly against the man's leg. Oh sweet Faranth this... there was so much blood all over her...
Be strong. Cepheith whispered, offering what support she could manage through her heated anger. Suunath, mine searches for yours.

[Carltis - Attacking snake!]
His ears rang, and for a moment the dank cavern seemed to flicker to marble. Roars of whers, dragons, men....
Carltis blinked, the moment of dazed suspension in the past popping like a soap bubble. The snake roared, and a familiar voice screamed in pain. Reality clicked back in properly and he scrambled upright, grabbing the knife he had dropped and charging the beast with a roar of his own.
Perhaps it was because he was still half dazed, perhaps he was just unlucky but whatever the reason his blade skipped off the tunnelsnake’s tough skin, drawing a trickle of blood but little more. Siata was trapped underneath it, badly hurt somehow, and that was the best he had to offer?

[Kleos – Attempting distract!]
As the weight of the snake lifted from her again her heart squeezed, and blood froze in her veins.
“Siata!”
Her friend was trapped; there was no way she could pull her free. Her knife was lost somewhere on the cave floor, and so as she staggered upright she grabbed a rock and hurled it at the beast's head.
"Get off her, brute! Come over here!"
Throwing another rock Kleos backed towards the cave's entrance again. She wanted to just tear into the foul creature, but drawing it towards the dragons and whers still made sense.

[Berath]
Having backed off a little from the cave mouth Berath paced restlessly, eyes whirling yellow and red. Useless out here, useless! She had to do something, but she could do nothing. The same helpless frustration radiated out of Bereck, intensifying her own, radiating back at him....
People in there were screaming, and hurting, and she couldn’t protect them and he couldn’t come to help them.
Useless.

[F’itz – Arriving at snake group location]
He ran alone over the sand. Where was everyone else? Why was nobody else coming? There was Brumath, and other dragons and whers clustered around a cave. There were roars, and people crying out.
Just outside the cave F’itz dropped the bandages he had brought onto a rock. Some rolled down into the sand but he didn’t have time to pay any mind to that. Heart racing he dashed to the cave mouth, which was largely blocked by dragons and whers. Cursing between his teeth the grey-haired rider tried to shove in between them. This was easier said than done. “Let me pass!” He was making progress but not fast enough, he needed to be there now!

Halith Group A (Attention EVERYBODY AT THE CAVE ENTRANCE)
Halith bellowed angrily as she saw the traffic jam preventing Brumath's from getting into the cave-- and anyone else for that matter! Whers were dangerous, but their handlers were in the cave, too; they could help! More than that, though the entrance itself was clear enough for a human to get out-- as her Cetalese had-- it wasn't large enough for something to muscle in past the several dragons crowding around trying to 'help.' She was going to kick whoever had bellowed like that and most likely turned all of the humans inside the cave deaf!
Move out of the cave entrance, you wherry-brained dimglows! Let the whers IN! Shards, how could dragon be so stupid?! Halith herself had left plenty of room between herself and the cave when she arrived and saw that there was no way a dragon could fit themselves in the entrance. The Green-- Berath?-- who had been in there first had seen the wisdom of backing up as well, but those others who had arrived later... Halith could feel Cetalese's strength fading and it was driving her absolutely to distraction. She threw a few more insults at the dragons around her.
((All right. I'm not certain what dragons are in front of the cave at this point, but some people seem to think dragons are still there. Both Halith and Berath haven't really been in close enough to block it, as evidenced by Cetalese and N'mol making it OUT. I feel like a lot of people in the tunnelsnake group may be skimming for damage and snake posts without actually reading what's happening with some of the characters around them (and this is not just directed at the dragon-blocking-the-entrance issue). So, quick summary of important stuff I have noticed (and please let me know if I've missed anything):
- Cetalese is leaning against the outside of the cave entrance, having gotten out last round. N'mol is IN the entrance of the cave and will be making a post shortly with some more attacking going on while Kleos is luring it toward him and the dragons. (Go Kleos.) - We are assuming there are still one or two dragons making it difficult to get IN, as evidenced by Siask's post, but they are far enough back that people can clearly get OUT. - The two whers were just fighting, but Siask is now desperately trying to get IN to help his handler. F'itz is also trying to get IN. If someone wants to NPC the dragons who were blocking the cave, or have their dragon be one of them which then moves aside to create room, that would be grand. - Siata is being crushed, Ralae is still dazed from the stun with Rochelle helping her, and everyone else not yet mentioned appears to be recovering from stun/attacking. - I'm just doing this for continuity purposes for the big things, like being able to get in and out of the cave for all players. Would make no sense for some to get out as if it was clear, and then have others claim the entrance was still blocked entirely.))
The snake writhed around as if dying, which would have been a good sign had it not endangered everyone around it.
"Get to the cave entrance!" he bellowed, taking a step back into the cave to swing at the snake again mostly as a way to keep the snake occupied as Kleos backed toward him, clearly trying to distract the snake as well.
N'mol's eyes widened as Siata disappeared beneath the snake's contorting mass and cursed loudly and fluidly.

Cetalese Group A
Cetalese panted outside the cave entrance for several long moments, listening to the sounds inside and trying to stay upright. If she went back in she would just be in the way and she knew it.
When the wher screeched, however, it brought her out of her stupor. She could stay out of harm's way and still attack it, but that meant finding some kind of long distance weapon. A rock to throw, a stick, a torch even would be nice right about now.
Cetalesemine, don't you dare!
Cetalese sighed faintly and felt the wounds on her torso pull. What?
You stay out of the cave! You stay right where you are! Brumath's is coming to you and you will not go back near that tunnelsnake! Once the wher gets in it will help the others! You have done enough, you silly wherry!
Brumath's? F'itz? Did you call him? Her thoughts went to D'lin, still in the cave, and she turned her head toward the entrance and looked back inside, past N'mol and Kleos, to see if she could see anything in the low light.
I did not have to. Stay put or I will do something awful when I think of it.
Senses returned slowly, the roaring receded until only a stabbing pain in his head remained and he could make out the sounds of scuffling beside him, fuzzy forms solidified back into detail. The sounds were slightly muffled though and a warm wetness trickled from one ear, lifting a hand he brushed fingers against the wetness only to bring them away with blood on the tips, each sound was a stabbing pain on that side and so he knew that something had been damaged...but he could still hear so hopefully it wasn't permanent. Holding a hand against the damaged ear to help keep out the sounds that beat against it he picked himself up. There was no time to be worrying about himself..Ceta and the others were still in danger.
Ceta..where was she? The last time he had seen her, before the roar had made everything fuzzy, she'd been curled up and wounded..but now she was gone and the snake was thrashing madly about with someone underneath it. Not Ceta..he could tell by the clothes..but what if she had been caught up in that twisting mass as well, run over and engulfed while he sat on the floor uselessly. It was a terrible thought.
'Mine!' Plexith finally broke in. 'Your back..what happened? You are hurt!'
Plexith, the contact brought D'lin completely out of the daze the stun had left him in. 'It's okay.' He assured his dragon 'But contact Halith, ask her where Ceta is... she's been badly wounded and I don't know where she went.'
That done he turned his attention back to the fight, taking a step back as someone yelled about heading for the entrence, that seemed like a good plan to him. As he did so his fot hit something which clattered on the floor, glancing down he saw a knife that someone (Kleos) must have dropped in the fight. It had obviously been knocked around in the thrashing and come to rest near him. Picking it up and turned and lashed out at the snake, slashing at the beasts eye as it writhed past in an effort to grab it's attention before he made a break for the door in the hopes it would follow.

Roscoe Group A - Attacking the snake.
In all the chaos Roscoe had a hard time figuring out what had happened while he had been out of it, but one thing was for sure - the turn blasted snake wasn't dead yet and worse it seemed to have tangled someone up in its coils as it rolled about. "Just. Die. Already." He shouted at the ugly beast as he beat at it with his makeshift club.

Plexith Group C Carrying wounded
Plexith's angry words had brought a rush of action, those nearby who were capable had come to help the wounded off his back. It was quicker...but not nearly quick enough for the distressed bronze and he continued to rumble at them impatiently until Cepheith brushed against his mind with soothing words and thoughts.
'I..will try.' He responded to the gold, his voice tinged with obvious worry. 'Mine is not right, something is wrong' He shared with her. And then the connection between rider and dragon returned, slowly Plexith could feel D'lin regain his sense and while there was still pain, Plexith was merely glad to feel him again. 'He has returned.' He told Cepheith with great relief 'There is still pain but his senses have returned.'
A brief conversation with D'lin further reassured the bronze, though it brought on worries for another and he quickly sought out Halith. 'Mine wishes to know where yours is. He is worried and cannot find her in the cave.'
