Alex clenched his jaw. It was either to win his best friend and his Spring Break or lose them both. That was a hard decision to make, but he sure as hell wasn't going to give that cocky blonde the satisfaction of seeing him back out. "Quit talking and get the juice here." he snapped.
"And bring enough for me, too!" a voice perked up, making Alex flicker his gaze to the new challenger. And that challenger was Ethan.
"Ethan, what are you doing?" Arby whispered, a slightly panicked look on his face. "Don't you think you should stay out of this?"
"If anything, I need to stop this." Ethan said then looked at the other two. "If I win, you two have to get along." he said. As a lover of all things orange, he was confident he'd win, or at least stand a chance.

Ethan suppressed a shudder when Lock spoke to him. How could he ever forget that side of him? That dark, dominant, sadistic personality of his that takes over when he took in too much citrus. The intimidating side of him named Magnus. If he came out again he was sure the world would burn, but...
"I don't care." Ethan said while shooting Lock a look. "I'm not letting either of you guys ruin each others' time." he said, showing no sign of backing out.

"I know what I'm doing, Lock!" Ethan burst. And he did, or at least thought he did. He knew Lock wasn't too fond of oranges, and Alex barely drank anything healthy, so he was destined to win.
"Just let him compete." Alex intervened. "He knows his limits. He doesn't need someone like you constantly babying him 'cause you don't trust him." he said with a sneer in his eyes.
"That's not what I meant." Ethan scolded Alex.

Although Arby was severely against any of the three doing this, especially Ethan after that change he saw, but he knew none of them would listen to him. With a sigh, Arby looked around at the three and elected to be the referee. "Ready?"
Ethan sighed and grabbed his glass. He couldn't remember Lock and Alex hating each other this much. They were even worse than Lock and Fredrich, and that was saying something!
Alex, however, wasn't too concerned with Ethan's feelings at the moment. He stared down Lock as he grabbed his own glass, a stare that uttered more profanities than a mouth could muster.
"Go!"

Alex was faced with his own struggle. Never one for juice, his stomach immediately grew uncomfortable with the new substance that entered it. A grimace showed on the skater's face, but he masked it with determined pride. He refused to lose to some punk like Lock.
And though the two were battling the flavors of orange juice, Ethan was currently in the middle of finishing his third glass. He could have finished faster, but he wanted to try something. If he went slow, maybe Magnus wouldn't come out. That was a theory he hoped would work, but as he reached the final fourth of his third glass, he felt a familiar dizziness sweep over him.

"Bring it..." A hand on top of his glass, Alex turned his head away from the group and belched into his free hand. He turned back groggily, but there was still a flame of determination in his eyes. "Bring it on...!" He and Arby blinked when Lock fell, but instead of showing the same concern Arby did, Alex smirked arrogantly at him. "Ha! Can't handle anymore, Kim?" he sneered until he heard the third glass hit the table with a thud.
"Like hell any of you are going against me again."
Alex winced at that rough voice that demanded attention. Each syllable sent a shiver down his spine, and though he had a feeling he knew what had happened, he felt his head slowly turn to his best friend.
Or should he say Magnus?
Using a toothpick to pull pulp out from between his teeth, Magnus looked away from the group with an unamused glare in his electric blue eyes. An aura of strength enveloped his somehow built body, and his hair darkened and straightened around his sharp face. If he wasn't so terrifying he might've been attractive to others.
Arby, too, felt a sense of dread at his friend's transformation. "Umm... Ethan? Are you okay?"
Magnus shot him a look that made him cringe. "The hell did you call me?" he asked and shifted in his seat so that he was fully facing the other male. "Just what about me screams 'Ethan' to you? Huh? I'm going to say this, and I'm going to say this once. My name is Magnus. Got it?"
"Sh-t." Alex cursed under his breath. "What do we do?" he whispered to Arby, who was still petrified by the cold stare he was given by their old friend.

Catching his name, Magnus turned his head and smirked at the sight he was met with. "If it isn't my doll." he snickered and leaned towards him until his forearms were leaning against his knees. "How much did you miss me, eh?" he chuckled as a wolfish grin spread across his lips.
Arby sighed at the attention removed from them, but Alex refused to give up.
"Hey!" the man with the beanie yelled, making Magnus flicker his electric blue eyes at him. Alex hesitated at that uncaring glare, but swallowed it back to keep talking. "I'm not spending my Spring Break watching you ogle your boyfriend even more! Some weird jerk or not, you've got to hang out with us!"
Magnus turned to face Alex, and the look on his face could make even the Yakuza tremble. Alex clenched his jaw and tried to keep a strong stance, but the beads of sweat that rolled down the side of his face betrayed him. Magnus smirked at him. "Fine then. Just what is it you want to do with me?" he asked.
Alex gaped at the man before him for a while. Did he... Did he actually do it? He convinced Eth- Magnus to hang out with them? Magnus?! Surely there was some sort of trick to this...!
"Er, maybe you could start by explaining why you're like this?" Arby suggested, deciding to take advantage of their position.
Magnus looked at Arby then back at Alex. "Simple, or I guess not for you idiots. I ate too many oranges."
"Yeah, but why do so many oranges make you turn that way."
The changed man considered the answer. "I'm not sure any of you could understand." he said while crossing his arms.

"There's a lot about Ethan I don't understand that logic can't explain." Arby said with a look of his own. "You're just saying this because you want him to yourself."
"What? Jealous?" Magnus chuckled.
Arby stiffened then looked at the dark man. "Excuse me?"
"I'm just saying that I wouldn't be surprised to hear that you're gay." Magnus shrugged nonchalantly. "Always so quiet and distant. Sounds like you're stuck in the closet to me."
"Just because I'm quiet doesn't mean I have harbored feelings for anyone." Arby seethed, feeling his temper rise, especially when Magnus barked with laughter.
"Maybe, but the way you carry yourself absolutely screams it! Then again, maybe there's someone else you're interested in?" he grinned ruthlessly as his electric blue eyes fell on Alex, whose own hair was covering his eyes. "That must be why you're always so quiet, huh? He's always so focused on spending time with lil ole Ethan, he even got jealous when he found out he was gay, so it's only natural that-"
"Jesus Christ, not everyone's in love with you!" Alex snarled and slammed his hands on the table. Not caring about the stared received, he looked up so the fury could be seen in his eyes. "I don't care if you're gay! Neither does Arby! But don't go around thinking we've been lovestruck all this time! I f-cking grew up with you! You were my first friend! We did everything together since we were babies! Maybe-" He began to falter. "Okay, maybe I did have feelings for you, but..." He stopped when he felt a hand on his arm. He turned his head to look down at it then followed it up to see Arby.
"No, we were friends with Ethan, and we still are." he corrected softly before turning his own angered gaze to the two. "Go on and assume whatever you want. We're Ethan's friends, not yours. If you're going to stay like this then don't bother asking us to do anything with you. C'mon." Rising from his seat, he lead Alex out of the restaurant, neither of them looking back.
Magnus clenched his jaw when he heard how defiant the two were, and as they walked out he bellowed, "Yeah? Well who cares! I like being this way better than your pu-sy of a friend!" When he heard the door close, he sighed and tilted his head forward. He was getting a headache, maybe it was from all the yelling.
