Sharra watched, feeling rather helpless and nonplussed as students disappeared, and in all truth, he was expecting more of them to just vanish, whisked away at the calling of home. When that didn't happen, they were faced with a decision, a choice, as to what they wanted to do. Shun and Roch had already seemed to have made their decision, backed down. And admittedly the nergal boil had a bit of misgiving, thoughts flitting briefly to the people that he cared about.
Heh. But right now they didn't even know he was here. Better to get this fight over with and let them worry later. Far more desirable to ask forgiveness than permission. Forcing a smile onto his features, the nergal looked up at his draconic friend. "Aksaja....we doing this?" The grin widened, something determined, grim and perhaps a little less than sane in his acidic eyes. It was another chance to face the fog, no matter what it threw at them.
But this time would be different. This time he wasn't going to die like that, if he had to go down, he'd be ready.

Diana watched as the fog finished receding and the feelings it left behind were very much unwanted. Still, her curiosity got the better of her and she couldn't help but continue towards the fake amity. "Well.. This ought to be interesting.. but then again..." she muttered before stopping in front of the place and leaving towards the real amity. She really didnt want to get into this whole thing. With that thought she quickly went back to her real dorm room inside the real amity.
She all but jumped a good foot in the air when she was seized and pulled away from Sparrow. A strangled scream almost escaped... except she knew that scent. Knew that warmth.
"Ren..." LW breathed, feeling a part of her that had been too tight relax.
Which didn't last long. Not as she watched students - friends - disappear among the fog. And reform into something...else. Something not right. No. No no no! LW whined, seeking out Ren's hand even as he gripped hers.
"A-Amrita...!" No! Not her.
Gripping Ren's hand tightly, she didn't protest when they moved towards the Haunted House.
Jack, not this place again.

Things were changing, but not for the better. No, never for the better. And while appearances were always shifting, the mists ever taking on new shapes and forms, solidifying, thickening more and more, the bad feeling in Alex's gut never wavered.
"Nothing good, Maggie. It's never anything good." that was the best answer he could give her. "I...I don't suppose you are familiar with the term 'Insanity'?" He was visibly shaking now, and if the feline students sudden nearness caused him any discomfort at all, it didn't show. In fact, her being that close to him was actually somewhat comforting, and he was tempted to loop an arm around her, to hold her close, protective.
But then things shifted again, and the lonliness, the gut wrenching feeling of agonizing loss, it's claws dug deep into the zomboils belly. Red tinted tears were forming at the corners of his eyes as he gasped out what little air might have been in his undead lungs.
And then the fog began to dissappear, leaving behind only figures that stared straight ahead at the school. No, not the school. It was like a phantom image of Amityville, but not right. Not at all the school that had become like a second home to him. Somebody was screaming a name, a very familiar name, but his thought processes were so dulled at that moment because as his head turned and he saw it, a great, grey mantis with yellow eyes, it couldn't have been what he thought it was.
"Yin?" A lump was rising in his throat, the name a strangled sound that barely passed his lips, somewhere between a whisper and a whine. No. Nonononono! How? Why? He..he didn't have any insanity before now!
And then his attention was drawn back to the group he stood with. Amrita? That was...that was Amrita?
"No..." His voice cracked as his brain tried to comprehend what was happening. A hand on his shoulder and he was turning to see Mort staring back at him, and he realized that his zombro had been talking up until now. It was just taking his thought processes some time to catch up. He shuddered violently under that touch. Scoping out. Yes, he could do that. He could do with a good slap to clear his head first, though. He nodded in response, despite that. He couldn't turn away now. How could he?
As Mort began to shuffle away, his hand reached out to grab the other boils arm. He wasn't going to lose him.
Yin, and Amrita, insane, and a nightmare that the zomboil couldn't escape though he desperately wanted to.
This was going to be a great birthday.

The mist shifted. Something about it made Maggie growl, and she could feel the beast rise to take over, to release her from all the feelings of loss and agony. She was able to push it back as the mists parted, revealing the strange apparition of Amity before them. Confused, she turned back to see the real one behind her. Then, with horror, she watched several students walking towards the false Amity, as if driven by a will not their own.
"Insanity?" She didn't know what it was, but it sounded awful. It must've been what was wrong with those students. Her eyes flicked back to the zomboil's face as a name escaped from him. She saw the pain in his face, then watched as he followed the other zomboil.
Watching him go, she glanced behind her at the real Amity. With a whine, she trailed after Alex, determined not to be left alone.

Tybalt didn't know how to respond to what was happening. Several students were changing, becoming infected with insanity and causing more distress among the students than there already was. To put it simply the situation was becoming chaotic. Fortunately Ren was faster to react and instead of freezing up like the black dog had, seized both Tybalt and LW and pulled them towards what appeared to be an illusion of their school.
"This s**t is just getting crazier by the second!" Regardless of his complaints, he didn't resist and instead followed obediently after the gryphon and the werewolf.

Rikki tripped along in the direction Danny pushed him, because there was nothing else he could do. He blindly followed the form of a retreating Yin, somewhat concerned about the panic in his ghoulfriend's voice. The closer he got, dread pooled in his stomach, but he trudged on.

Christof's breathing hitched in his throat as he stopped in the gates of the not-Amityville. The fog swept past him, as did other students all lunging after their drifting loved ones. He had to go after her. He had to bring her back.
But he needed help. Calder would need to look out for Barth, where ever the sloth demon had fallen asleep last- hopefully unaffected by the insanity drifting down on them.
He clenched his eyes closed, frantically attempting to bottle his panic, although as his mental words reached out they were still bathed in it.
Mistress- Mistress something happened in the fairgrounds. Something is wrong.
Yuki was at a loss as to what to make of all of it. Fear and confusion had him planted in place firmly when the cat boil had suddenly shown signs of life, only for the demon to be overtaken by the fog and turned into something else...
It would have been smart to not follow Deacon, he knew, but as horrible of a friend as the boil had been to him Yuki couldn't let this become of him. He... Yuki hadn't even known that Deacon was sick. How had he not realized?
In his hesitation, Riyo was the first to make the choice to pursue him, but it took Astra pulling away from him to really send the ghost boil into action. He took off after the ghouls in a run, calling to them through the fog. "Wait! I don't want us to get split up!"

One minute things were...relatively normal for Amity these days, the next? The next it was just awful. Junko watched with horror as first one, then another..and another student shifted forms into something so similar to what Riley had become. Wh-when had they..? What? What was... "Deacon?" She squeaked, eyes wide. "Amrita!?" She didn't know the ghoul well but her friends adored her. Oh Jack no..!
When Seiji asked her what to do she could tear her eyes away from the second school, the one that looked like home, the one that the changed students were going to. "W-we have to help them. We can't just...Seiji, we have to help them. We have to. I can't just let them go." She looked up at the boil with wide, frightened eyes. Junko didn't want to go running into danger again but these were students, students that needed help.
Poke was prepared to fight. When some of the students were turning into the monstrous forms, she had stood her ground and awaited their attacks. But instead they had all moved off to the grayed out buildings, leaving many of the student body to follow or to back off.
The group she was in had dispersed, many of them backing away in order to regroup and come up with a plan. Shun was checking on Mitsu. Xiu had ran off into the building.
That left her with two choices, really. She could go into the building, and see if she could do something about this insanity crap. Or, she could go with her instincts, which were screaming for once in your life just run the jack away. It was tempting, just to go back to her dorm room and choose to fight another day.
"Jacking hell..." She mumbled, walking into the building at a very slow pace.

It wasn't until multiple students began fading into the mist that Aksaja realized there was more wrong here than he had thought. Much, much more wrong. Even on the Horsemen field trip, there had been a limited number of effected students. Now . . . he wasn't even for sure how many it was. But Sharra was right. They couldn't just sit back. He couldn't.
"Yea. We're doing this," he replied, resolved hardening in his own voice as he followed the nergal boil.
She hadn't met any third years yet. The most she had met was second year, but certainly not any third years yet. This man must have known what he was doing, as nervous as he had sounded when he stuttered his speech. She nodded as a show of respect to her elder, searching his expression for any sign of what might be going on and finding an apology instead.
"I've seen worse," she admitted, pressing her fingers together. "I think. The Four Clans had a terrible catastrophe at the isles. Of course, the fogs were there too. This might be a bad sign. I hope it's not coming here. Is it coming here? It should leave if it is. There's no need for there to be such danger at a school and this is all silly, maybe we're all just hallucinating and we should go sleep after Fright Night..."
They really needed to get out of here.
Unfortunately, what she saw before her eyes--that one other ghoul turning into something else, something else she clearly should not be--her eyes widened, and she gulped as the smoky figure advanced on a building that looked so much like their own, but looked so little like their own, too, full of smoke and grey and surrounded in a fog her eyes could barely penetrate.
It seemed those she found herself with knew some of the others who had charged in, determined to go in themselves and bring them back. What was going on? What was this murmuring about Insanity? What was Insanity? She didn't like this; Serafina didn't like it at all and maybe she should go home and try to find out some more information before charging in behind the others, as valiant as they were, but she needed to find someone to stick together with as Belladonna Divine was suggesting.
Was this another third year?
"Right, stick with someone," she murmured, glancing to the nearby first year ghoul she didn't know the name of. "We'll stay together. Thank you, Bella," she offered, squeezing the hand on her shoulder slightly before the witch was gone into the mist, and she was alone with another first year, who...
She ran. She needed to find safety ... or a partner to wander with, at least.

Draven stared at the fog, and watched as the group disbanded. People went this way and that, for various reasons.
His decision was simple. Back to the real Amity, that was where he would go. For now, at least. The fog...was not something he wanted to deal with at the moment.

Gene resisted the calling of "Home", knowing that her own home was right behind her. She had stood up, and was about to enter the gates of the true Amity, when she heard a Fire Demon screech and take foot after their mutual mantis friend.
She only caught a glimpse of Yin, but that was enough. Danny wasn't facing this alone. She had Rikki, yes, but...Danny would need someone to cry to after this.
"Danny!" The Doppelganger was after her in a second, leaving Bea to Enzo and Ace - who both got looks of 'touch her and die.'
