Linwe's boots tapped the ground softly as she walked through the village looking around, making her eyes take in everything not wanting to miss a thing.
Her arms were crossed under her chest to keep out a slight breeze that seamed to be enjoying blowing her long raven black hair in her face and around her shoulders. Her deep forest green eyes constantly were looking around for anything new or unfriendly looking. She hummed softly as she walked trying to get a feel for her new suroundings.

She started to nibble at her lower lip, it was nice hearing someone say that. She was not evil, she never felt that way, but she wasn't able to speak back to her mother "How close to the truth am I, Emile?"

Setting her cup on the counter so she couldn't drop it from anything shocking, she took his hand and pulled him til she got to the couch and sat down. If she was going to hear anything more of this wild tale, she best be sitting down...
"I never said for you to leave. I haven't had the intention either. A woman carpathian? Men choosing the darkness? Not seeing color or having emotions?"
She took a deep breath. "To be honest it all sounds like some wild tale...How is any of this true?" She gently touched his chin, wanting him to look at her. Even touching him so innocently gave her the feeling he was telling her the truth and there was nothing evil about him...

Drake: The women of my people are born very rarely...Most concieve male children. Rare is it that the children make it out of the first year alive. And more and more of our men without lifemates have begun turning...Losing thier souls and becoming that of legend and myth your movies are made of. Anya....What I tell you can not be told to anyone else, I am litterally placing my life in your hands. The men after two hundred years of life lose the ability to see in color or feel emotion and the darkness with in begins to grow. Taunting us with the false sense of power. We can usually hold off for a couple of centuries before either walking to greet the dawn or lose our soul. That is unless we find a female carpathian that is our true lifemate or a human woman with strong psychic abilites that could be our true lifemate. The only way to tell is if the male sees in color again and starts to feel again after meeting her for the very first time.
Drake - I know this is alot to obsorb, but it is the truth....All in all, Anya I am not human.

Elissa looked at him for a moment in silence. She opened her mouth once or twice, but shut it. She turned around for her to start thinking, once she had everything together she turned to him "I think you have to elaborate a bit here...so your not human, your a Carpathian and that would be?"

She looked at him a little skeptical. "Legend and myth of our movies? You really must be old world. There's a lot of movies out there on myths and legends."
It was alot of information for her take it in. She was more in a state of disbelief, her mind not wanting to accept what was being said to her. Her soul however absorbed it like a man reaching for water after spending days in the hot desert.
"Let me see if I can get this straight. You're this being that comes from the earth. You loose color from sight and feelings and live life until the point of choosing the morning light or giving up your soul, unless this lady comes that's suppose to be a lifemate?"
She shook her head. "What is a lifemate?" She wanted to deny it was truth at the same she was accepting it. All in all, her second choice was correct. He wasn't human.

Emile - A carpathian is a living being...They look and appear human. However, we have abilites. We can controll the weather to an extent, change form into that of mist, wolves though some others have been able to shift into other forms, and that of an owl or raptor..In other words bird of pray..... We have incredible strength and are immortal. When a male loses his soul when not finding his life mate he becomes that of legend and myth. A vampire...But like the undead, we carpathians can not be in direct sunlight, and need blood to survive.

Drake - Right Anya...A lifemate is the other half to a male carpathian's soul. There is only ever one lifemate. And only a true lifemate can bring back the colors and feelings that a male has learned to live with out after so long. A lifemate is the only safe anchor. "I still think this absolutely strange. No such things as vampires....Only vampires I've come across were mere people parading around."
She sat back, shoving a hand through her hair again. She still felt exausted from earlier.
"Besides... zombies are undead too....just brainless..." Apparently she'd read too many books. When she looked at him, she scared herself, finding him to be the very thing of her dreams. What a weird topic to be talking about, she thought.
"Look...I may not believe you telling me.....Perhaps you can show me instead?"

Elissa ran a hand through her hair "You know this sound..."she search for the word. "Insane...but what even more nuts, is that I might actually believe this"she gave a short laugh. "So you have to find your lifemate so you don't turn into a Vampire then?"well she heard lots of wild stories before. It was quite ashame that the one guy she doesn't flinch when they touch is probably on the search for his lifemate.

She placed her forefinger to her chin as she thought. "Well if you are a vampire or Carpathian whatever it is, then you must be really old"the way that Emile held himself and talk was so old worldly. "So exactly how old are you?And you not looking at me as your potential meal for the night are you?"he was cute, but she was not in no mood to have someone suck on her neck.

Hearing the bones crack, she jumped out of her skin, staring in shock. She swallowed, her hand reaching out for something to grab. Not finding anything, she settled for pulling her knees up and holding them close.
She shook her head. This wasn't happening. She did not just bring home some guy that could do things no one else could do. Psychic she could understand...this?
It took her a moment for to sink in. Even then it didn't sit like she wanted it to. Her heart leapt in her chest. This was the real thing. There was no tv setups...
"That didn't happen. Men don't turn into huge wolves in a living room!" She rubbed her temples again. She did ask for it though....Getting over it, she slid from her seat, sitting on the ball of her feet and looking at him. She reached tentatively out so she feel his fur....
