Emery turned away and joined him as he stared outside the window at nothing in particular. "So do we...not hate each other?" She asked awkwardly. She was definitely not used to situations like the one she was currently in, and she was having a lot of problems trying to figure out how to respond to it.

Emery gave Ren a frustrated look. "You just told Yuuki we weren't friends! Plus, how am I supposed to know how you feel if you never say anything?" She took a deep breath before shaking her head. She still felt a bit awkward from the previous situation, and this was not helping it.

Emery exhaled deeply, growing increasingly frustrated with the situation. "What social cues am I suppose to be picking up on here? You're sitting on the complete opposite side of this Ferris Wheel carriage, barely looking at me and sounding annoyed!" Emery knew that social cues were not her strong point, but she wasn't sure what she was supposed to do when Ren would barely say a word to her.

Emery's face grew warm at the sight of his blushing face. The tension in the carriage felt almost tangible as she stared back into Ren's eyes. "Oh. Okay." She muttered awkwardly. "I don't know why this had to be such an awkward situation." She said bluntly, itching her head.

Emery's flicked to his at his comment. "I'm not dense!" She exclaimed, in attempt to defend herself. She racked her brain for any reason he could be act the way he currently was. The only reason she could think of was if he liked her as more than just a friend, but that was in no way possible . "No..." she said out loud, shaking her head and blushing deeply.
At the mention of a childhood friend, Emery's interest was peaked. "A childhood friend?" She questioned, hoping for further explanation.
