Mood: Affectionate||Ambient Music|| Takuya listened as Kuro spoke, watching carefully as he weighed the options of the possibility of others being in this hellish hallway. When he mentioned Loric, something inside of him switched, and he felt his mood do a complete 180, the sudden prospect of saving everyone seemed more agreeable to him now. He did still however, want to explore the option of the chains but ideas that had previously crossed his mind had disappeared and instead were replaced with thoughts of cooperation."Even if it isn't our friends, what if it's someone who needs help? We can't just let someone suffer like that!" walking beside him Takuya gave Kuro a reassuring squeeze on the shoulder, "Since it's the two of us, I'm sure we can help them!" Giving the boy a genuine smile they proceeded onwards, the sound of scraping chains growing ever louder in their ears. Near the end the hallway took a sudden sharp turn, and Takuya was sure that whatever was creating the sound was just around the corner. "Let's go get them!" Takuya chirped happily, taking the initiative and stepping forwards. He was sure that whatever was around the corner would help them if he made his point clear enough. After all, everything could be solved with peace, right? Line count: 2340 + 213 = 2553

Even though the boy tried to go with the blow, it still did a good number on him. His body went back a step or two, Loric beating some distance between the two of them. Jynn looked up at the escapee, his face showing an expression of pure elation and excitement, even though he was still recovering from the blow. His eyes were wide with anticipation, a mix of black and red. He went to clench his fist around the chain, only grasping empty air. It seemed that Takuya was starting to turn a new leaf, but it was strange for him to be turning his personality around at this point in time. Kuro thought for a moment about what his new temporary partner was stating about not leaving anyone behind, even if they weren't their friends. He knew that the taller male was correct in what he was saying, but he also didn't have a death wish for those he didn't know... hell even if he knew then he wasn't going to die for anyone just yet. Looking over to Takuya he sighed as his thoughts started to come to fruition. "We can try, but I'm not all that great in combat... and I'm not sure on your skills. What I mean is if we can save anyone without putting ourselves in danger then we can try it, but if not then we'll give what ever help we can without putting ourselves in that situation. Sound fair?" The chains were getting closer to them, and Kuro was hoping that it wasn't anything that would lash out at them. It seemed though that Takuya was wanting to check it out anyways, so Kuro would follow but keeping his guard up at all times just in case.

Mood: Extremely Happy||Ambient Music|| As the duo rounded the corner Takuya heard Kuro’s words and nodded, more as a dismissive action than one of agreeing. What the two found however, was something far from what they were expecting. Floating in the air before them was a lantern filled with small green orbs. Filled with a sudden and uncontrollable glee Takuya lept forwards, all inhibition thrown out the window. “Look Kuro!” He exclaimed excitedly, reaching out for the green orbs. He watched in fascination as they slipped through his fingers, evading his grasp, and fleeing back into the lantern from where they seemed to have originated from. Reaching out for the lantern Takuya had almost touched it, he was close enough to feel the cool chill it emitted, but it moved out of his grasp. Taunting him Takuya pursued the lantern, forgetting about the boy he had briefly teamed up with in lieu of figuring out where the lantern would lead him to. Just when Takuya was about to turn the corner he spoke to Kuro once more, “When I followed the ghost it led me to you… Maybe this lantern will lead us to the others!” An excited laugh escaped him and he flitted forwards, running after the lantern as it darted away from him, always escaping him and always just out of reach. 2553+ 220 = 2773 [[ Roll to Chase in following post ]]

It seemed that the taller male was in agreement about not risking too much for others besides their own comrades. Moving down the hall to where the noise was coming from and apparently approaching them, Kuro moved just quick enough to make sure that Takuya wasn't rushing in on his own. It turned out that the noise was coming from a old fashioned lantern which had a green light about it with small orbs fluttering themselves around it. It was obvious that Takuya had spotted it, as he pointed and almost shouted to him about it. As he went rushing off after it, he stated something about following a ghost that had lead him to Kuro. Kuro stretched out his arm and wanted to tell him not to follow it, but nothing came out of his mouth. Instead he started to take pursuit behind his current ally, trying to make sure that he didn't end up putting himself into any trouble that he couldn't handle. It was true that there was strength in numbers, but two people were hardly any numbers to begin with. Ether way, it seemed that Takuya was in full sprint trying to keep up to the lantern. He knew that he wasn't as fast, but was hoping that he wouldn't loose chasing him ether.

Although Takuya was fast, it seemed that the lantern kept moving even faster. Floating through walls and ducking into nearly impossibly thin hallways even Takuya had issues keeping up with it. Around him the small green orbs whizzed past, making hushed whispers as they nearly touched Takuya before flying away. He nearly snapped then, eyes set on his target as he snarled to the lantern. “I will ******** kill you!” He growled, eyes hardened with the promise of violence. Reaching out Takuya took swings at the Lantern whenever he could, and every time the lantern would simply move out of the way of his attacks. This only served to fuel his aggravation more. “If I ever get my hands on you, I will smash you into a million pieces!” At this point Takuya could feel his leg muscles protesting. This was not the first time that he had to push himself to catch something in this hallway, and it most certainly wouldn’t be the last. His breaths came out in short huffs, eyes fixated on the glowing green before him. With every swipe it seemed that the lantern would go further and further from him, making him push his body even harder to simply keep sight of the infuriating object. Shiro sat very still, quietly watching the training dummies in the room. She was somewhere in the back of her mind just waiting for them to spring to life. She held onto the odd little glow ball. As she breathed slowly calming herself trying to remove that odd feeling that she needed to flee. She eventually regained her calm and turned back to the door. She carefully sidled over to the door and reached out slipping her hand onto the doorknob. Carefully she turned the knob and peeked out the door as she slipped it open. The wisp in her hand seemed to hum when suddenly a little green orb went zipping past her head headed for something that looked like a lantern. The lantern was oddly enough glowing an eerie green color as it blundered about in the air, little green orbs spiriting around it as it bobbed about. Something about the lantern really peaked her curiosity, beyond reason even, and her ears stood up high as she knelt down and watched the lantern. She wasn't sure what would come of it, but it made light, and if it was anything like the little wisp she had managed to catch earlier it wasn't going to do her any harm to go ahead and capture it. Her tail twitched and swayed from side to side as she sized up her prey. Bou let out a little yip and Shiro nodded "Yea... I don't know... but I think, if I can catch it, I will get something that will make it easier to see in here." she states in response to her pup. Bou let out a whimper of protest but didn't talk back any further than that..Shiro's mind was made up, she launched out the door and tried to pounce on the lantern only to have it scoot away faster than she was able to pounce. It whooshed off away from her diving into a wall leaving only a light glow behind it for a moment before it suddenly appeared again further down the hallway. Shiro's eyes lit up and she bolted at her top bipedal speed scrambling after the dancing lantern like a cat out to catch its prey. Sweat formed on his brow, his body trembling, his breathing becoming more rapid. Where? Where is it? He glanced down to his hand, and his heart started to beat faster. It wasn't there. The boy's eyes roamed wildly, searching for it. Soon he stopped, finally seeing it in his opponent's hand. The Warm Body had taken his beloved chain from him! His black and red eyes started to tremble as he watched this...this....heathen touch such a sacred object. "Give it...." Without any rational thought (less than usual, anyway) Jynn lunged at Loric. The boy took a wild swing at his opponent, his fist heading right for the boy's face. "Give it back!" Shiro looked at her hand which held onto the wisp when she felt something akin to a pulse coming from the wisp, her head slowly tilted as she gave it another experimental squeeze and suddenly the form of the wisp changed with an odd little glow ball to something much more, useful, and amazing it looked something akin to a sword. She only remained stunned by the strange item for a few moments before taking off after the lantern again. She wasn't sure what had happened with the wisp, and why it formed into a weapon, but once whatever was doing this showed itself she would have to thank the little wisp for becoming something so very useful to her. She was also surprised as the blade seemed to vanish into her hand. She smirked before hitting all fours and taking off after the lantern again. She was able to move faster now as the strange little wisp wasn't actively taking up space in her hand. The lantern was obnoxiously fast. It seemed that the faster she ran the faster the lantern moved. By this point she wasn't actively considering the danger that it could be leading her into like some sort of baser instinct had taken hold and she was just running after a moving object. Perhaps because it gave her a mental escape from the sights, scents, and sounds, of this nightmarish landscape. Well whatever her reason was it was doing a good job as she flat out ignored the hallucinations that were making her paranoid before and instead barreled directly through them her eyes keen on the target of the glowing green lantern. Apparently the appearance of the weapon was a little too distracting for Shiro as she looked up in her chase of the lantern and crashed headlong into the wall. "OW!" she quite literally yelps falling back from the wall and rubbing her nose. "Damn... I forgot that thing can go through walls..." she states slowly as she looked to the spot where the lantern had vanished. "hmm..." she hums lightly as she touched the wall, and looked around curiously. "That thing, it wasn't entirely unpredictable. It seemed like it wanted me to follow it, so I doubt it would run off and leave me now." she states curiously as she held her hand up that was holding the wisp before. She closed her hand like she had been holding the wisp, and sure enough the strange sword from before materialized in her grip. She smirked and pointed the sword around, feeling a light vibration from the energy she could feel it change in the way it acted as she swept it from side to side. "Cool... spirit radar." she states with a chuckle as it seemed to grow stronger pointing in one direction over any other. "Going to go with... The lantern being thataway!" she states victoriously before launching around the corner. Loric watched as his class mate began to gradually loose his grip over himself. The moment he had wrestled control of the chain from his class mate. Something was clearly going wrong with him mentally and because of this Loric had intended to simply disarm his foe and subdue him without causing any harm. But as the situation became more and more dire he soon realized that this wouldn't be as easy as he had hoped. If he was going to save the rest of his class mates, he would first need to neutralize Jynn in a way that didn't directly cause him too much harm. Leaning his body to the left, Loric swiftly dodged the punch that was aimed directly at his forehead. His opponent had managed to land a sneak attack on him before, but now that he was fully aware there wouldn't be anymore cheap attacks. Mood: Crying/Depressed||Ambient Mood|| With a final turn the Lantern slipped out of view, and for a split moment he felt completely worthless. Even though he had been pushing himself to his limits, the lantern still evaded his grasp. Biting his lip he could feel the harsh sting of tears threatening to fall as his chest constricted. He couldn’t let the lantern get away, and yet he felt so weak. It was just a floating lantern for goodness sake! How could it evade him as if he was nothing more than an infant learning to walk. ‘Do not disappoint me’ the thoughts of his fathers note invaded his mind, forcing him to feel even worse about the whole situation. What would his father say at his incapability to catch this lantern? He would disown him, tossing him out like his parents had so long ago. Takuya, although he could barely see the spectral trail the lantern left did not give up. Although his mind was filled with thought of self-hatred and loathing he simply could not afford to fail. He was abandoned as a child, and it was not something he wanted to go through again. The hallway blurred before him as he let out choked sobs, tears streaking down his cheeks as he darted forwards, arms reaching out in hopes that he would finally be able to catch the lantern and not be a failure as a ninja or as a son.
