The teenage Shaitani heard the growl and eyes the red twin with narrow eyes from his corner of the cave. He wasn't sure what she had against him - or anyone, for that matter - but he didn't like her attitude. He settled his form close to the wall, resting his head on his paws, and watched the rest of the pride with slight interest. He figured he would go exploring tomorrow night.
((Shaitani had a growth spurt. xd ))

Kun Yi pawed at her sister, huffing. "No, I'm still tired." The nocturnal lioness laid her head on her paws. They all could hate her for all she cared. Once she was old enough to leave she would.

Xiao frowned. "Such a party pooper..." She said pouting, her green eyes still showing that she was excited and wanted to play. "C'mon Kun Yi... pleaseeee?"

Shaitani let out a small huff of air, "You might as wlel play with her - you don't seem to have any fun any other time." He closed his eyes, partially expecting his eyes to get gouged out for butting in. His ears searched for any sound, and his muscles were tense and ready to move if need be.

Kun Yi just growled and glared before lightly biting her sisters neck. "Fine...what do you want to play?" She smothered a yawn, amethyst eyes drowsy.

Shaitani smiled slyly at the growl, and relaxed himself a bit - though still alert enough. He considered going out and exploring - Ling couldn't get mad anymore... he was old enough now. Rising, he shook the dirt from his fur and yawned widely.

Red ears swiveled back to listen to the older male. Shaitani was probably the only male in the Pride that she would even pretend to listen to. The black lion exuded confidence and power, something that she respected and even as a cub was attracted to. If he left the cave, she would follow.

Shaitani let out a snort of air once more and proceeded past the two sisters, stepping into the dim dawn (I'm not surewhat time of day, so... eh heh) sun. The grass was covered in the morning dew, making everything smell wet and fresh. His ears swiveled as bird songs greeted him from every direction. He'd have to get back before noon, so now was a decent time to set out.

Kun Yi wiggled out from under her sister, following the dark form. She slinked along behind him, deadly grace in her movements that would be more apparent as she grew. Amethyst eyes stayed glued to the male. The dragon lion wouldn't loose him.

Shaitani stopped and slid his eyes to the side, turning his head slightly, "Why are you following me, Kun Yi?" Voice like leathal silk, his words slid from his mouth smoothly. His ears had been pivoting the entire time, catching the exact locaiton of her movements to know that it was not Xiao.

"It's a free land, I can follow whomever I wish." She retorted, the silkiness of his voice rolling over her. The smaller lioness wasn't scared of him, if he tried anything she'd hold her ground and fight back.
Kun Yi stood proudly, tail and head held high. Just daring him to try anything with her.

"Perhaps, but perhaps I do not wish to be followed." His tone never changed to show emotion of disliking her following him in any way. Nor did it display approval.
He returned his head forward and started toward the lake, "Though if you're attacked, don't expect me to help you," he added, looking back and chuckling. He was slightly arrogant, because he knew he was older, bigger, and stronger.

"I'm not expecting it." She continued to follow anyway. His attitude would be forgiven this time around. Males in teen stage were arrogant and stupid. At least to her.

Once he reached the lake, he immediately dunked his head into the water. Fish scattered as the large black figure exploded through the surface. Slinging his head back and out of the water, water flew in every direction as it was discarded from his fur. He took his lungs full of air upon returning to the heavy dawn light. Much better... he thought, shaking more of the excess from his would-be mane. "Now... i never got to finish exploring the desert," he muttered to himself, looking to the east, "so that's where I'll head today... Stopping to take in the surroundings every once in awhile this time."
The fact the Kun Yi was following him didn't bother him. In fact, he was pleased at the company, even if it wasn't the kindest he could have gotten. Still, he wasn't going to make this the most pleasant trip for her since it was her choice to come without an invitation, "You don't mind a long trip then, I assume? The desert is a long way away." He kept the smirk on his face, appearing arrogant on the surface. However, he really wondered if she would be up for it. He remembered when he was a kitten and had gotten a little worn on his trip there. Even though she was older than he had been, andit wasn't the middle of the afternoon like last time, he still worried, even about himself.

As if in answer, the lioness trotted a few yards away in the direction of the desert. She looked over her shoulder at the older male with a small smirk. "Coming?"
