But first, she had to run and get Rasiel. She set her box down next to Alexander's. She trotted to the back room again, picked up Rasiel on his little pillow and brought him out to the front room, where Alexander was still unpacking. She set him down on one of the plush chairs and made her way back over to the counter. "Um... Alexander," she started, a little quiet. "Can I ask you about something?" She began taking strings of lights out of her box and untangling them, although she kept her eyes on Alexander.

I had this dream last night. And I'm not sure what to think," she said, her voice still a little quieter than usual. She looked down at her lights, getting one small knot out after another. "And I thought you might be able to help me." She looked up at him, her eyes questioning.

Gosh, why did he have to do that? Danny couldn't help but think it was attractive when he ran his hands through his hair. "Okay, so I was walking down my street, right? And I walk all the way to the end of the street, and there's this little path behind one of the neighbors yard. So I follow it, and then I end up getting lost," she said, pausing for a second to collect her thoughts. "So now I'm in these really thick woods, right? So now I think, you know, where am I? And then someone answers me, and they say, uh, 'Why, you're right where you belong.' And I get a little scared, but then I turn around and..." Danny paused, a little worried about bringing Louis into this. "And, um... well, my, my boyfriend was standing there, in these really nice old-fashioned clothes, and he was, like, under the only tree in the forest with any leaves left under it. It was really weird..." she faded out a little, pausing to see how Alexander was taking everything.

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander went a little rigid and his mind seemed to buzz at the word 'boyfriend'. Without his intent, his hands began to burn, though he only noticed when the counter began to smoke. He quickly cooled them and ran his hands over the burned area, restoring the wood before she could actually see the scorch marks. A minor hitch lad, calm yourself. he thought before clearing his throat and relaxing. "Ah, well it seems you've brought something forth from your subconscious, whether it be a memory of something past or just a scene from a story you heard as a child. Was that the end of the dream?" Alexander asked, crossing his arms and tucking his hands in to avoid the same reaction twice, all while doing his best to not appear bothered.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

She thought she saw smoke, but it was gone before she could register it in her mind. "Alright, and it was odd because before I found him, I was sort of spinning, looking for where the sound was coming from, and the same voice said, like, 'Why so on edge? It's alright, it's just me,' and I said, 'Who's me?' and it was like, 'Why, me.' And I turned around and there he was, under the only tree with leaves. So then I, like... hugged him cause I haven't seen him in a while. And I looked up and his eyes were, like, gray." She stopped and took a breath before continuing. "So then I ask him, 'What's wrong with your eyes?' cause his are usually blue. And he just sighs and smiles and says something like, 'Odd talk, coming from you. Just like always.' I got really confused, so then I backed up and then the wind got really really strong and these two guys showed up. And they, uh, had similar clothes on. And then they said something about a queen? And Louis got really mad..." Danny froze for a second, realizing she had said her boyfriend's name. "Uh, that's his name, Louis... anyways... uh, and then the guys disappeared after telling Louis that they would tell the queen... and then Louis told me I had to leave..." she finished, looking up at Alexander, still confused about the whole thing, but a little on edge because of the mention of Louis.

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander remained calm this time and listened patiently as she finished recounting her dream. When she was finished, he nodded. "It seems as though you're bringing back a forgotten memory, as I said. You can't remember the exact cast so you're putting in people you know as the main characters." He said before pushing himself off of the desk and going back to his box, his back to her while he regained his composure fully. When he finally turned back to her, a set of fabric reindeer antlers in one hand and a styrofoam gift in his other, he was smiling again. "As I said, dream interpretation isn't my strong point so I may be wrong, but in my limited experience that's what it seems to be." He said, walking over and placing the antlers on her head.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

"Well, okay... but I don't remember doing any of that at all. How could it be a past event?" she asked as the antlers were placed on her head. She smirked a little and was glad to see his smile. She dismissed her dream for a moment to ask, "What, no matching set for you?" She laughed a little at her question and tried to picture him with his own set of antlers on.

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander laughed a tad. "I don't believe so, I've only ever needed one pair." He said, scratching Rasiel's head before going back to the box. He pulled out a few more styrofoam gifts and placed them between the poinsettias. When he was done he wound the lights she'd untangled around his garland and hung it in the window. He plugged it in and it illuminated the poinsettias nicely. He began pulling out various other decorations until his box was empty. "Alright then, let's put these up, shall we?" He said, arranging two reindeer on the counter.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

"Too bad, there's two reindeer here," she said as she pointed at the two toy ones on the counter, "But not two reindeer here." She then pointed at her fake antlers, and then at the empty space above his head, where his antlers would be.

"Or maybe some fairy wings," she teased back, her cheeks getting a deeper red as Alexander winked. After watching him decorate for a moment more, she remembered her dream. She didn't want to leave her questions unanswered, but at the same time it seemed like the discussion bothered him. "But Alexander... what am I supposed to think about my dream? I don't remember doing any of that..." she trailed off, glancing at him.

"Well that's what your subconscious is for," Alexander said lightly "you aren't expected to remember a lot of the things it stores." He said with a shrug. He started looking around, an elf in his hand. "I used to put up a tree, but they've always been live, I don't own a fake one." He said, trying to find a place to put the elf.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

"Oh, alright." she answered him, untangling another strand of lights. She looked around the shop, looking for a place for the elf to go. "Why not in the window?" she asked, pointing to the window sill.
