Sierra kept her silence, but she walked so that she stood next to Vestakia and faced the king. "I knew those two as well." She stared into Hunter's back, "And I considered them perhaps not as friends but more as allies." Her voice was hard but quiet, "And I would would have a part in avenging their deaths as they had died in an unfair battle." Her eyes narrowed as she remembered fighting against the undead, her own fists clenched in rage. She glanced over at Vestakia who was looking at the ground, she looked up at the king then left Vestakia's side and walked up to where she stood slightly behind and to the right of Hunter, then placed a hand on her chest and gave a warrior bow to the King. "My people, those who had long separated from Arema'thelia some years ago to become warriors and fight. I was raised among them and taught the warrior way," She glanced at Hunter, then back to the king, "I may be but a child to you, your majesty, but I had had a loss of my own," Her face grew hard as she tried to block the memory, "Hunter if you were one of those that lived here wouldn't you want another night to live with your loved ones," She was looking in the kings direction but not at him directly, "Even if it meant that that would be the last time you saw them?" She saluted to the King again and bowed, then turned on her heel and without a glance at the others walked past them but stopping a few feet behind them and turned around her face a mask of any emotion.

((I hope that was ok with her people thing, if not I can go back and edit it out if you need to....))

Hunter held his gaze as the king responded to his own questions and listened to both Vestakia's and Sierra's responses, but as he was something hit him, not physically but emotionally and mentally and that...anger that had lashed out at the king slowly diminished as he came to the realization what his outburst might have just done to the warriors that he called friends and the memories of those who a few minutes earlier he was trying to use to move the king..

"I...I..." Hunter started, but then stopped thinking for once in life before speaking, "I don't your highness, and I-I'm sorry for the outburst I may not completely understand and probably never will what it means to rule a kingdom and I guess my thoughts were unjust....I apologize."

Before leaving where he was standing, Hunter lowered his head and whispered just loud enough for the humanoid dragon in front of him to hear in what he hoped looked to those behind him like a respectful bow, "Please, I know I'm in no position to ask anything, but if you do decide to punish someone for what I just did let it only be me, the others did nothing wrong and they can use all the help they can, whether it takes two days, two weeks or two months. They did nothing wrong and don't deserve to suffer any more than they have because of my stupid mistake...please they've already been through enough"

Kisuke sighed, he figured Hunter was going to speak out of line it was just his character. He remained quiet and watched Vestakia answer the Elven dragon, and Sierra words. He wonder if Hunter still had anything to say but he did but this time he thought twice before he said something. He trailed a couple fingers in his hair to get it out of his face and rubbed his ear. He had a high pitch sound ringing from whenever the king was speaking.

The Great Dragon let out a deep breath and shook his head slightly before placing a hand on Hunter's shoulder. "Sometimes I forget what it was like to be young, I know you mean well but you must always look at the bigger picture, think things through before giving voice to your thoughts, do not let your emotions rule you, or your want for vengeance, The Demon King followed that path and look where it got him, a heart full of darkness and revenge for something that no one had control over." He removed his hand and pinched the bridge of his nose wincing in pain as one of his legendary migraines threatened to take over, he hated his old age some days, even a little stress seemed to have a negative effect.

When the pain passed he replaced the pained look with a small forgiving smile. "Now, as I said before, try to relax for the next few days while I gather the council to plan out our best means of attack and defence, I will also contact the other Kings and gather allies, I will not take no for an answer if that will help calm you all down, and I will try not to take more then a few weeks to prepare. for now I will let the lesser officials deal with the festival as I dedicate my time in preparing for War, is that fair enough?" he asked mainly looking at Hunter, not that he needed the approval, but he wanted to make sure that the young fox knew that he hadn't planned to focus on the party anyway even before the Wild Born's outburst.

The silver dragon listened as everyone spoke once again, but when Hunter spoke against the great dragon he was ready to let one of his Guardians take over, but they wouldnt do that due to their promise not to interfere, but he kept himself calm and still. He didnt want to make things worse.
After everyone had finished speaking and the King assured the them he would do what he can, he rose to his feet. The silver dragon took a step forward and held his head up, "My Lord, If you wish I can summon what is left of my kind to aid in the fight. There isnt much of us left, but with our support we can give your army an advantage." he was surprised with what he had said, but his voice didnt show any sign of it. After so many years of wanting to protect what was left of his kin he had offered the King his full support.

"Firion is your name? we will welcome the help of our lost kin if they are willing, but as an advantage, yes more numbers is an advantage, but against an unknown enemy...I do not want to risk the damage pride and over-confidence will bring to the battlefield because I thought that I had a trick up my sleeve...hm which reminds me...Torin, Ronan!" he called to the two guards by the door, the two Dragon kin stepped forward without hesitation. "I want you two to send word to your brothers and sisters at Serpents Fang, despite what the other kings will do, Argonos is preparing for battle and we will need their support as well." He ordered and the two looked at each other before bowing. "Yes Father." they said in unison, their deep voices identical to each other, before slipping out of the room to complete their tasks.

Vestakia stared at the two guards as they left, no wonder they shared similar scents to the king, she had waved it off thinking it was the dragon blood but she just shook her head, you learn a new thing everyday, oh she knew the King had plenty of children but she hadn't expected to find his heirs running around disguised as palace guards. She turned her attention back to the King and gave him one more respectful bow she wasn't sure about the others but she was done speaking with him, what little she had said was all she wanted to say, it had really been up to the others to nudge him along she just gave then the first push. "If you excuse me Great king, I have other duties to attend to, and I would not like to leave Grandmother alone for to long, you know how she is when she sees things in the market she likes and cannot keep her hands out of her coin purse." She said trying to leave on a Light note. When the King only chuckled and nodded in agreement, Vestakia took the opportunity to slip out of the Throne room.

Zanth just stood there, feeling a little ashamed, and a little awkward, and to top it all off, the ringing had returned and it was painful but he had lived with pain for so long he was able to keep a passive face on while he screamed with agony on the inside, trying to make himself like a normal bystander, he had only really managed to connect with Vestakia so when she left he felt at a loss of what to do, he wanted to follow after her, but the ringing meant the Dark King wanted a report, so he would have to wait and listen till the end before giving him what he wanted so the pain would stop.

((sorry if I’m moving slowly right now...I have been sleep deprived for the past few days and I like using the King a little just put a *brofist* at the end of your next post if you are ready to move on to the festival and all its goodies, I will be sure to make it...hm...Wicked.))

Hunter just nodded at the king's question and listened to his response from Firion, as he made his way back down the steps he returned the raccoon's glare only adding a twinge more annoyance to it than was shot his way.

As he reached the bottom of the platform, he turned to face the king and bowed, before saying two word he never thought he say again to another living creature, let alone a ruler, "Thank you, sire." before standing next to Zanth, now that Vestakia had left where she was standing. Having not met with royalty before and not quite sure what to do next he stood there waiting to see what would happen or if they'd just be dismissed like he thought was done even though he had she the she-fox leave before them.

Now standing up letting out a soft sigh he caught a glance at hunter glaring at him. He moved around his neck and spoke to the king. "Thank you for your time." He turned around a made his way out without waiting for a dismissal. On his way out he was taking notice of the scenery around him until he was outside.

The silver dragon nodded at the king's question, "Yes, but numbers wont be the advantage sire. It is our knowledge on the battle field." he said proudly. Then he lowered his gaze again, "Shall I send word to you when they shall arrive?" he asked curiously.

Sierra did not look at anyone as they walked past her to leave the throne room. She looked up seeing Zanth, Hunter, and Firion. She looked to the king and bowed low to him, "It was a pleasure to meet you great king. As it will be a pleasure to meet with you again later." She stood upright again, "If there is nothing else may I be dismissed as well?"

The Dragon king looked up, he seemed to have been stuck in thought as Sierra spoke wanting permission to leave his presence. "Hm? oh yes, forgive me I don't usually dismiss people, they have the freedom to leave when they wish, but if you require it then please." he said waving his hand towards the door. he then turned his attention on Firion. "Young one, you are in a city of Warriors, I don't know about where you come from, I haven’t been to the Outlands in many years, but here the people train their children in the art of battle the moment they can lift even a stick." he explained with a chuckle. "And do not worry, I will know when they arrive, just as I knew you had stepped into my city." His gaze shifted to a smaller door to the right of the Throne room, and seconds later a guard burst through, looking winded. "Sire..." he took a moment to breath, it was obvious he was just a normal man. "There is someone waiting for you in the Kitchens...I don’t know where she came from she just appeared out of thin air, but she says it's important...and um, she is harassing the cook..." He trailed off and panted some more and the King lifted an eyebrow clearly amused. "Old Elven woman, about this tall?" He lifted a hand to his chest. "Silver hair and blue eyes?" he asked and smiled shaking his head as the Guard nodded. "Very well, I'm sorry Firion but I must go, an old friend is waiting for me." he said with a quick nod of his head before following the young human out of the side door. he stopped for a moment and turned to those who remained. "I will see you all at the festival." and with that he left, the door slamming closed behind him.

((next post will be the Festival, don't worry about posting yourselves unless you want to, I just need to collect myself and start refining my plan.))

((Sorry for the late replay, I was going to post yesterday early...but I made the post and Gaia logged me out so I lost it...and it was a long one so I basically table flipped and decided to deal with it later.))

The day of the festival thrummed with life, it seemed the population of Argonos had nearly tripled over the course of a few hours after sunrise. creatures from all over the kingdom arrived to join in the celebration and the streets were lined with banners and ribbons of silver, gold and bright blue with little insignias of the sun on the silver banners and the silver moon on the gold ones. the main area of celebration was the city square and market place, where the ground was littered with gold and silver rose petals that floated down from enchanted rose bushes wrapped around pillars and the top of market stands.

But along with laughter and loud chatter throughout the streets, there were also whispers of awe as the representatives for the other two Kingdoms came to Argonos, but they were not there for the festival, they were on their way to a war council the the Dragon King.

First came the Elves of Arema'thelia and their ambassadors, three male elves dressed in flowing robes of ivory and silver with ornate silver circlets adorning their heads and their white-blond hair laid straight on their backs reaching just below their shoulder blades and their silver eyes looking straight ahead of themselves ignoring those around them. Around these three were six elven guards, three on each side of them, the two in front carrying identical white flags with the insignia of a silver tree in the center and were lined with swirling patterns of silver leaves and vines. The guards were dressed in shining silver armour that had the same pattern of leaves around the edges and again the insignia of the silver tree adorning their breastplates.

Next came the Dwarves of Dun'Rogar, marching in the same formation but they seemed to take notice of the festive activity around them and laughed at the sight of the entertainers and a few eyed the booths that held the promise of alcohol of various types. Their armour was of a dark steel color and wasn't as polished as the elves and held the insignia of a black dragon carved in a Tribal form. their clothing that laid under the armour and rings of mithril chain-mail were various colours of red, brown and green, they didn't have specific uniform style other then the main armour and their weapons didn't match either unlike the Elves, they had a variety ranging from duel wielded and battle axes, to large war hammers to b*****d and broad swords. the Ambassador in the middle of the group was the Dwarven King himself and the two beside him were his sons all with identical braided red haired beads that reached the belts at their waists, though the Kings was streaked with grey from age.

((in the idea before this I was going to show Vestakia's and Zanth's perspectives...but I’ll let you guys show a point of view before I do...don't wan it to be to long.....again...stupid gaia log in time limit....*table flip* try to be creative and push past blocks you might have.))

Hunter sighed as he watched the parade of dignitaries go by from the roof of the tavern he and the others had been staying at in Argonos and shook his head.

All show and nothing to back it up, I wonder if those elves have even used those swords in combat He thought to himself At least the dwarves look like they could hold their own in a fight if the need arose for it, I just wonder if they'll be able to distinguish friend from foe I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of those weapons.

Hunter closed his eyes and folded his arms as he thought about the coming events and how things could play out and focusing himself to avoid another outburst with these "reps" as well.

Sierra sat crouched in one of the many trees overlooking the street the representatives of the two kingdoms traveled on. As they came within view she studied the elves and then the Dwarves, then back to the elves once more. It had been a very long time since she had seen any of her own people. Her eyes narrowed and she jumped down from the tree to the ground below, careful to avoid the crowds and slipped through back towards the tavern where she turned around and leaned against the wall watching the parade of activities from there.

((late post, my head has been hurting all day))

Vestakia and her caravan had managed to set up a small stage with a few of their sister caravans and set up as part of the entertainment. Vestakia walked around the stage, making sure it would hold the performers, she saw Grandmother standing not to far away, with a distant look on her wrinkled face.

"Grandmother? you okay?" Vestakia asked walking over to her caretaker. Grandmother seemed to shake out of her trance and she gave Vestakia a small smile. "I'm fine, you just worry about the festival today my dear...and I want you to know...whatever happens, be safe, and know I never regretted a moment when I took you in." the old elf said sadly before walking away around the corner of the stage. Vestakia stood their in shock, she had heard similar words from her mother before she and her father had died. she ran around the corner to stop Grandmother, only to find the old elf had vanished. She started to feel uneasy until someone called her name. "Hurry up, can't leave the crowd waiting and their pockets full of gold!" one of the men from her caravan shouted. "Just a few more minutes!" she shouted back hurrying into a nearby tent.

~~~
Zanth slowly made his way up onto the roof of the tavern where he had last seen Hunter, being careful not to slip as he stood on his window ledge and reached up towards the edge. he did end up slipping, but grabbed onto the side at the last moment and quickly scrambled up, a little out of practice, he used to be a master at climbing up buildings and trees and other obstetrical, but years stuck in a cage left him a little rusty. Once her managed to gain his footing he made his way to Hunter and plopped down beside him and gave the fox a wary smile. "The elves have always been like that." He said noticing Hunters upset face. "but don't worry if they decide to fight, they will be good allies, they are just...Formal about everything." he explained.
