Eric shook his head. "On the right track, no pun intended." He held the tweezers like a dart, waiting for the bike to come by. "You only have one shot and it has to guarantee that the bike will stop. Jamming it in the spokes might work but the gaps are too big. It would probably just fall out after a few turns of the wheel."

As the bike passed them, Eric threw the tweezers. The tweezers went straight through the air and lodged themselves between two gears in the bike. The gears seized up, suddenly jamming to a halt. The boy on the bike was caught unawares and the sudden sharp stop caused him to tumble over the handlebars, landing on his back in the street. The bike flipped over landing wheels-up next to him before it fell on its side.

"The wheel and the spokes go round and round freely," said Eric as he watched the boy pick himself up, confused. "If you hit it in the right spot with something so small you might cause it to seize up for a second before it dislodges itself. But the gears move inwards; anything that gets caught in the gears will be jammed between them as it gets pulled in by the turning. The gears are the most vulnerable part of the bike because if they stop for a second, the bike stops completely no ifs ands or buts."

The boy was looking over his bike, trying to pull out the tweezers that had been stuck between the gears but they held tight. "And if you're lucky it can keep the bike stuck for a while. You put the right thing in the right place and let it do the rest of the work," Eric finished, grinning.

Eric nodded. "But that's the point. You can't think about it thoroughly when it's happening, at least not if you have to improvise. So you're doing it right, you just need some more practice," he winked at her. "Don't worry, you'll be using household items to kill kishin eggs in no time." He put his hands in his pockets as they walked down the street. "I hope another mission comes up soon," he said. "The last one was fun although we didn't get a witch soul."

"How do Kishin eggs taste anyway?" He asked, turning to her.

"Hmmm..." said Eric, thinking. "I see...." He had a distant look in his eyes. He scratched his chin. "I never would have guessed that. I would have thought they tasted gross or something. But...yeah," He shook his head, looking back at her. "It's good that they taste good."

Eric leaned back, thinking. "There haven't been any new missions lately," he said sadly. "We could always go train or see if anyone else has anything going on," he said. He absently felt his chest as his scar began to sting again.

Tamari laughs and sits down. As she sits down she says Thank you.

Mmmm... Maybe go get some ice cream or train. Or maybe go to the park. What do you think?
