"You got your powers earlier than he did and was able to adjust that much sooner. Riley didn't so he doesn't really know what he is or how to feel yet; cut him some slack." Adrian told her calmly.

"Psh. Yeah right." Cali muttered, going off to set the table. She was annoyed at him for putting pressure on their parents now, and she could see her mother seemed nervous. This didn't do anything to ease Cali's worries, though she was not saying much.

"You know you can't really bag on him too much. He just wants to be like his parents, something you were saying way back in the arena." Adrian said as he started to set the table.

"Yeah, when I was three. And that was so I could actually live with you guys. It's not like Riley's being raised by someone else who doesn't show any affection." She muttered, helping set the table as she brought stuff over.

"Just try to leave him alone for a while, alright? You're not going to make him feel any better. It's not easy to change how you feel." Adrian said going to get Riley for dinner.

"Hey, I haven't said anything to him." Cali said as she held up her hands defensively.
"You know I expect you to look out for your little brother, not torment him." Amaya muttered as she rolled her eyes.
"Can't I do both?" Cali asked innocently.

"Not when he's emotionally troubled." Adrian said before knocking on Riley's door. "Riley, dinner's ready." he called through the door before going to sit down at the table.
Riley came out of the room not long after and moped his way to the table.

Just as Riley took his seat, a knock came at the front door. Raising and eyebrow, Cali got up and went to go answer the door. As soon as she opened the door, Cali met a fist, getting sent flying back into the family room with a loud crash.
Not even exchanging a look with Adrian, Amaya took her monster form and ran from the table towards the living room. Once she saw Cali was getting up, Amaya pulled her to her feet and pushed her towards the kitchen. "Take your brother and run." She told the girl in a stern voice, nodding as she saw the girl turn and run as told. Turning now to the front door, Amaya looked at the attacker. "Who the hell are you?" She hissed, shadows around her rising.
Stunned from the attack, Cali was just starting to get up when her mom pulled her to her feet. Hearing her mom tell her to get Riley and run, she did just that, stumbling off towards the kitchen. As soon as she got there she grabbed Riley and had Hazama knock out the window to the fire escape, jumping out the window a moment later and onto the escape, heading down to the alley below to run and continue running until one of her parents called her to tell her it was safe.
"Really Amaya...I'm hurt you don't remember me." Seth said with a grin as he stepped into the doorway with a rather large mutate behind him and another, regular looking mutate in front of him, though both looked dazed.

"Sis....? Wh-what's going on? Who was at the door?" Riley asked worriedly, too scared now to be concerned with his mutate issues.
"Amaya, please tell me this isn't going to be another Sloan...." Adrian muttered to her as he stood beside her at the ready. This wasn't going to be pretty.

"Some mutate that probably wants to fight mom and dad. We just need to run, okay?" Cali told Riley as she continued to pull him along through alleyways, trying to put as much distance between them and the apartment as possible.
"I really can't tell you much of anything." Amaya muttered, beginning to remember who the man was.
"Oh don't worry. I need you both alive for the moment, you're of far greater value to me alive than dead." Seth told them with a grin as the mutates ran into the room, the small one after Amaya, using light powers to attack while the big one, the last monster Amaya fought in the ring actually, stomped his way towards Adrian.

"Oooohhh, I remember your ugly mug...." Adrian said with a scowl as he got ready to brawl. The last few days spent in the arena were hard for him to forget with everything that happened. "You're a big guy, aren'tcha? Well bigger they are, the harder they fall."
