"You did all you can. As long as you gave nothing but the best, no one can really blame you. In fact I'm proud to have an Alpha like you leading the pack." Thunderbolt said to Ren.
"So now that, this is out. Do you have anything else to add. We can rest if you feel you're not ready." he said.

Buttercup chimes in. "Look Ren, I know this is hard for you....but I think it is time you accept the role that has been given to you. Our pack needs a leader right now, now more than ever. We are all suffering Ren; you are not the only one hurting inside. Our family is falling apart, and we need someone to bind it together again. You are the one Ren; it's time to stop avoiding it, its time to be alpha."
Buttercup sighs, she didn't want to say it, but Ren needed to hear and understand how badly they needed her.

Thunderbolt nodded, heading into the den. He laid on the floor next to his discarded rib bones. The glow on his prosthetic limbs dulled and shut down. Thunderbolt fell asleep soon after.

Once buttercup reaches the den and makes sure thunderbolt is fast asleep she goes over to Ren. "So........I know this is kind of off topic, but I have a question......." buttercup said quietly.

Buttercup breathes a sigh of relief and smiles. "Good night Ren." she said softly as she was walking over to her favorite spot. Looking over at Thunderbolt thinking maybe one day she will have a new favorite spot, buttercup falls asleep.

Strongheart had been out trying to grow different plants and decided it was about time to get back to the den. It was getting dark and she really didn't feel like sleeping in the forest, so she started heading for the den.
