A hint of a smile showed itself on the boy's lips and he nodded a bit, quite ready for turtling. He hadn't ever done so before, but hopefully he would catch on fast. And he wouldn't completely embarass himself... Because, lets face it, Spiro is extremely clutzy, thus his current scraped knees and elbows, and the nasty little area on the bridge of his nose. It was all bruised and cut up beneath that bandaid from one of his little adventures. But he was determined now, and was hoping that would be enough to keep him out of trouble. He shrugged at the mention of a walk, "S'alright." He had to walk everywhere now, since Ajani had crashed the car. He used to walk everywhere before they got it, too.. And they'd only had it for a short while. And so, that all added up to Spiro being very good at walking. If you can be good at walking. "Yeah."

"Well, then if you're ready, let's be off, then! All we're doing standing around here in burning daylight, after all." With a determined nod of her head, Kaja first stuck Oli is his tote, then swung her backpack over one shoulder before reaching out and snagging Spiro by the shirt sleeve and trotting off at a brisk pace down the sidewalk, her boot heels making a sharp staccato "click" on the pavement. After all, the marsh would vanish into the night if they didn't get there as fast as humanly possible, as everyone knew; and when she was excited, she tended to speed up. After she'd gotten what felt like a safe distance away from the school, she whisked off the black beret that she wore to detract prying eyes from her horns, stuffing it into the bag as well but never slowing her pace. And hopefully Spiro was keeping step sweatdrop

The boy started a bit as her hand met his sleeve, and then he nodded and sped up a bit so as to keep up. He was lucky he was so used to walking everywhere, or else he would have been left so far behind it wouldn't have been funny. Well, technically it would have been very funny seeing as she had him by the sleeve. Not to mention embarassing. It was harder, though- he wasn't used to walking fast in his combat boots... He'd live though. He had to. He decided he'd have to actually tie the laces once they got there, less he kill himself. And however much fun that was, he would like not dealing with that right now in his life. He lifted his eyes as her beret was moved, and felt himself relax a bit. For some reason he hadn't realized she was one of them, but this made life a lot easier. Or harder, depending on how she felt about halfbreeds.. But he had a hat to hide his ears- his black earflap hat. And he had his wings hidden somehow within his shirt- it was hard, his wings were so big now. And his tail was in his pantleg, although in his white pants it had poked out the bottom of his pants. He let all of his features out now, wings through slits in the back of his shirt, except he kept his hat on. He liked that hat.
And so the two were off.
(Now, off to the swamp =D)

((Oh, and Aqua's the older one, older by a year xd And sorry I didn't respond till now @__@ Next day, then?))
Aqua hopped inside the school, singing a very old song her mom had told her about. "Golden lady, golden laaddyy..." She got quieter, humming instead, as she skipped inside, grinning while she looked around.
((Sere's not here this time, putting a little change for her in her journal in a few 3nodding ))

(THE NEXT DAY. *pose* Mm coffee. XD)
The boy trodded along the hallways, humming to himself, back in one of his outfits more like his white one. He didn't like it so much, he couldn't hide his wings in this outfit. He tugged on his white earflap hat and glanced around, eyeing someone familiar... Was that the one Aqua girl? He wasn't sure whether he should or not, but he finally decided to give a little wave.

She stopped midskip as she saw Spiro, and she raced over, waving and grinning cheerfully. "I remember you! Spiro, right?" biggrin She grinned, laughing cheerfully while trying to fix the very messy bun her 5 feet of hair was tied into.

The boy was surprised at the cheer he got after being spotted.. That was new. He nodded a bit, "Yeah.. We met yesterday." He shuffled a bit, grinding the toe of his boot into the ground sheepishly. "So... Um..." He must be in a pretty good mood- he actually tried to start a conversation. Even though he had nothing.. Oh well, thought that counts.

She giggled, grinning cheerfully and patting his shoulder. "What's up Not too much, Sere's at home doin' somethin', not too sure what, she just locked herself up in the bathroom'n refused to come out." She rolled her eyes, laughing as she tugged on Spiro's sleeve to head toward class.

The boy blinked once or twice, but was relieved that she had taken control of the conversation thing. He nodded a bit, "Oh, okay.." He allowed himself to be tugged along, although they probably didn't have the same class. It didn't matter to him if he was late for class- bah, who cares about that? It was just nice to be around someone. He thought for a moment, "So... Just curious... You have any pets?"

She started cracking up, grinning broadly through her laughter. "Too many to count! Sere's got two little dragons and a kat, I've got two little dragons, an' Zuko's got two dragons an' a grrrrfalcon! There're lotsa more pets, 'cept they belong to the whole family. Oh! And me, Sere'n Zuko've all got little blobby things, too. What about you?"

The boy pondered for a second, "Well, we have a bunch of things living in our house, but they're either Freize's or family pets. For me, I only have a mouse named Alexei, and I used to have a baby bird..." He shrugged slightly, "I had to give it away as a present.. Animals don't like me much, so I'm not so good with them. But I'm glad I have Alexei." He nodded once or twice.

She made a face, pouting. "Awww, how come an'mals don't like you that much? Mebbe it's just somethin' in the house, 'n not you?" She twirled for a moment, her hair falling out of the bun again despite her groan of annoyance, the sea green curls the had escaped falling to around her elbows and waist.

Spiro shrugged slightly, "They just seem to keep away from me.." Not a lot of living things liked him, in his opinion. He was glad for the friends he managed to get, and most for Alexei. "It's just always been that way for me." He watched as her hair escaped her during her twirl, blinking before a hint of a smile showed itself on his lips. Bright people like this were better for him to be around. They were good on his mood.

She frowned, thinking, before smiling brightly. "What if I found you a animal that would love ya? That'd be cool, wouldn't it, Spiro?" She asked, grinning cheerfully at the halfbreed.

Spiro seemed surprised at that, but then seemed actually somewhat happy, even though he wasn't smiling fully, "Yeah... I'd like that." He nodded, hands tucking into his pockets. It was nice being around people again. Especially nice ones.
