Despite the fact that Asch's normally straight hair was now curled with bangs hanging in his face, he looked mostly like himself again and certainly felt better in that regard. However, his brows raised slightly at the description this man gave of his tormentor. Seems that he knew Nakura. Hm.

"Yes," he replied matter-of-factly before turning his gaze back to the dance floor. He scanned the crowd for a moment before catching sight of a familiar form mingling among people he didn't really know.

It was then that Asch pointed in Izaya's direction. "There, the super hero," he told the blond with a measure of disgust. "Now if you'll excuse me." And with that, Asch departed from the costume room, explaining to the staff woman he encountered earlier that he was leaving. He then passed her by and headed for the exit.

However, the red head paused and turned, catching sight of Natalia amongst the throng. It had been years since he'd seen her, and he didn't know if he ever would again. He just wanted one more look.

"Spiked?" Shadow repeated, unfamiliar with usual party practices. He smiled as Luxury seemed to cheer up with the appearance of the pink Golbat, however. "Yeah...looks like it."

As the happy-looking pokemon hurried off to go fetch another soda, Shadow seemed somewhat surprised it was doing so when it could have just waited for Luxury to open the can without giving her one of her own. That was awfully nice of it, whoever's it was.

"Well, guess that saves me a trip of going to get you something to drink," the robot laughed sheepishly, plopping down in a chair beside the devil girl. Internally, though, he was at a loss. What was he supposed to do now? He was never much good at small talk.

"So, um...you live around here?"

(Punch bowl group)

Faleen couldn't help a small grin when the angel didn't recognize her, this was a good thing, and gave a slight incline of her head, watching the other women for only a moment more before turning her attention back to Claire.
Faleen knew she was a very ordinary looking person, and she preferred it that way, she blended in, and wasn't the most remediable of faces.

She preferred to linger int he background right now, only half listening to the others and what they were talking about, but more interest in getting her hands into finding out if any of her re-wiring had slipped from the wings.

(Izumi, punch bowl group)

Jerome meandered around the room for a couple of minutes, not sure where Izumi got off to, She had been away for a while.
He had a lot to think about, and his shoulders were feeling a bit tense from that talk the huge guy had given him.
He wasn't exactly feeling guilt, He was okay being a part of Team Rocket, when it came to what kind of life Jerome knew he had to live, he knew this was something he would be stuck in for the rest of his life.
It was probably the fact that he didn't feel guilty about being a Rocket that made him uneasy. But what would happen when it came down to having to do something about this team of trainers that were trying to stand up...
He tried not to think about it.

It wasn't to long before he spotted the Angel away, over by the drinks like she had said she would be.
only, she wasn't alone... and that Majority of people he recognized around her were Rocket members.
A sheep among wolves and she didn't even know it.

He didn't say anything as he walked over, glancing at Izaya as he passed, and paused behind Izumi.
"Sup..." He nodded to the informant.

(Luke, Natalia)

Lips parted slightly, looking between the two as they spoke... though it was certain things about what they was saying, something to do with a mistake about seeing Luke before... only to have Luke say it wasn't him.
Rosie seemed to go a little pale, wordlessly looking between her friend, and this new girl that he knew.

(Punch bowl)

Xander saw the looks that Frost gave Izaya, and vice versa. But he wasn't sure what to make of them. He obviously knew that they didn't get along and that Izaya had hurt Frost but he didn't know what to do about it. When Izaya grabbed him and said something about Frost getting a guy a drink though, he focused on said guy. And proceeded to go white in the face and quite willingly with his friend. "Oh better yet stay away from him." He told Frost before he was pulled off.

~*~*~

(Asch, Izaya)

Shizuo's eyes narrowed in on Izaya and he offered Asch an absent minded thank you before he headed off towards him. His right hand clenched like it wanted to be wrapped around something while his left sought out his two pokeballs.

(Faleen)

Despite the situation and confusing amalgam of emotions swirling in her head, a smile twitched onto Claire's face. Leave it to Faleen to always carry around a little toolkit. "I wouldn't want to make you do something you had no interest in doing," the agent commented with a small smile as she shrugged off the wings and offered the contraption to the blond girl for her to fix. It really was interesting to watch her work with it - she hadn't really watched much before - especially because she didn't want to watch a few other specific things going on elsewhere.

(Punch bowl)

Mordecai hummed happily when Miss Izumi hugged him, and he eagerly (and gently, being big and made of metal) returned the gesture. "Metang!" Was Miss Izumi thirsty too? Oh! And Dith! "Tang, metang!" He waved one clawed appendage at the huge man happily, then pulled away from the blue angel. He hovered above the punch bowl and began pouring drinks into cups that he placed atop the flat surface on his head/back - not that immediately upon his evolution Seraphine hadn't drilled into him the importance of grace so he wouldn't spill anything he carried - before he floated back in front of Mizz Izumi again and indicated the cups he carried on his back like some sort of living tray. "Metang?"

"Oh, nothing much, just that there's a giant Russian hulk of a man I'm worried will remember us from Sandalwood..." he said in his usual, falsely cheery tone as he hurried past the gangster wolf. "Hello and good-bye, TJ." He kept a tight grip on Xander's wrist so as not to lose the blonde teen, not even considering the fact that he was concerning himself over someone else's safety.

The informant had no idea what Asch had told his mortal enemy. Nor that he was being hunted down even as he fled another threat. He was too busy trying to find out where the best place to avoid Dith was. As it was said...out of the frying pan and into the fire.

@Mau

She ignored his evaluation, maintaining her eyes on the floor and the people there. The heir and the acquaintance were involved in some sort of discussion, but she was much too far to as much as hope to overhear their words. At Mau's question, she divided her attention. "Not... specifically," she answered vaguely. "He's my partner."

_________

@Natalia

Luke should have expected that she wouldn't believe him - it certainly sounded like quite the far-fetched excuse - but because he knew it to be true, he couldn't conceive a reason for Natalia not to believe him. "Why would I lie about this?" he said, leveling his green eyes with hers. He exhaled a frustrated sigh, "Look, I don't get it either. All I know is that this guy showed up out of the blue looking just like me and stole-- Well, whatever." This wasn't the time or place to discuss the things related to the topic, though it was... weird that he had called Natalia by name. Who was that guy anyway?

(Shadow, Lasi)

Luxury giggled -actually giggled- at the joyful Golbat, opening the can for him. He certainly was a good pokemon, that was for sure.

"Spiked. When alcohol, the disgusting stuff, is mixed in the punch. Happens at nearly every party... I hate it..." She really did. He mother was a mess on the stuff.

The though occurred to her that Shadow actually wanted to get her a drink, and she gave him an apologetic look. She wasn't used to boys being nice to her. Leaning back in her seat, assuming a more relaxed position, she nodded. "Yup, I do. Haven't been here too awful long, not quite a year." She'd have to be careful not to give too much away. She had no clue who this guy really was, and if he was merely a trainer it would be disastrous if he found out about who she was really associated with.

"Really? You been to a lot of parties?" Shadow asked skeptically with a crooked grin - which she couldn't see, of course, because of his helmet. Brilliant. "How do you know it happens? Do you actually drink the stuff? Watch it happen? Or do you do it yourself?" he teased.

"Oh, that's cool," he answered, nodding at her words. "Same here. Um...just been here a few months." He looked at her curiously. "So, uh...if you don't want to talk about it, just let me know, but...did you run away from home?"

Luxury laughed. "Is this twenty questions? Lets see... first one, movies and overhearing others, no way in hell, yes, no." She nodded, hoping she covered every one of them. Strangely enough, she didn't mind the questions. It was ... different, that somebody wanted to know more about her.

"Yeeeeeup. Pretty much. Mother won't miss me, brothers have probably found a new punching bag by now. Heard about -" Eek. "- this place a while back, figured it was a good idea and jumped the first ship out." Luxury flipped out two pokeballs, and the two feline critters happily squeaked at being free. "Chora I had, rescued her during a storm when I was younger. Trae just showed up at my door the day I left." She returned them, receiving final glares in the process.

"What about you?"

The robot laughed. "Nah, just a friendly interrogation. So you've only seen it in movies and heard it through gossip? I wouldn't say those are very reliable sources," he answered, tapping his helmet meaningfully. "Can't believe everything you watch in movies or hear as rumors. I'll bet it's just a Halloween prank someone made up to scare people away from the punch."

Shadow listened carefully as Luxury talked, watching her expression. Again, he tried to picture what she must have gone through. It sounded terrible, having a family. At least when she put it like that. Her pause mid-sentence didn't seem to bother him, though if it did, he said nothing of it. "Man. Must be nice being free. I guess compared to you, I must have had the easy life."

"I - " He hesitated. What had he been going to say? She asked about his life, but suddenly he was drawing a blank. "...I don't remember," he said finally, putting a hand to his head. "Sorry. Maybe it'll come back to me later. No way I went through anything like you did, though." He stared at the girl's eevee and purrloin as they were released. He'd never seen them before, but somehow they were familiar to him. He felt somewhere at the back of his mind the need to be afraid...

But he wasn't. Why should he have been? They were just pokemon. He reached down to pet one. "Cute girls," he remarked, his brow still furrowed. Something was wrong. He just couldn't place it.

The grunt shook her head. "Well, you can drink it if you want, but I'm steering clear until I know for sure.

After his words, she shook her head again. "Don't say that. If you really can't remember, how could you know your life is better? Maybe you used to be caged in a science facility, or you were living in a box, or you were being hunted for something..." Luxury thought for a second. "I envy you." She said suddenly. "Not remembering, you could create your past. Like, say you grew up with a pilot dad and a stewardess mom, and you got to fly all around the world. Or you were rich, you literally ate from a silver spoon. Think of all the possibilities!" She laughed, realizing she'd been spending too much time in books.

"I guess it doesn't really matter much, since that Golbat's getting you a soda anyway," Shadow answered. "As far as my life, even if I don't remember what did happen, don't you think someone would know what didn't happen?" It seemed to him that if someone had just mentioned a fragment of his past, it would all come back to him. The more he tried to comb his memories for it, though, the more distant it seemed to get. Eventually, he decided to give up.

"Heh, I think something like that would traumatize someone so bad that either they'd never forget it, or they'd block it out for life." Was that what happened? But no, it couldn't have been anything that horrible. Even while Luxury had told her story, Shadow had felt bad for her. How could he have felt bad if it hadn't meant something to him? He couldn't have known worse, or it wouldn't have seemed as meaningful to hear about her past.

He blinked as the girl said she'd envied him. "What?" Well, yeah, considering her past, he'd figure she'd envy anyone with a normal life, but... "Create it?" he laughed. "But if it isn't true, why would I want to do that? No point in living a fantasy, is there? It'd be basically like living a lie. Wouldn't change reality."

By her imaginative scenarios, he didn't doubt Luxury had daydreamed a lot about what she had wished her real past to be. As grounded a young man as Shadow was, though, he had never even allowed himself to imagine. He refused to fall under such illusions. Such things were only bound to make the decent back to reality that much more difficult and painful.

"Would be nice, though," he added quickly, not wanting to pull her down with him. Let the girl dream. She had had enough misfortune in her life. "Maybe you're right. Your story wouldn't have sounded so horrible to me if mine had been worse than yours, right?"

@Shizuo, Tambrey (So sorry if I spelled her name wrong!)

Presea was still watching the dressing room when Shizuo turned and waved to her. She didn't know why. Maybe he was telling her he hadn't forgotten her? Or was it because she was staring? Behind the visor, her silver-blue eyes half lidded and she waved in response. Was that an automatic behavior? Was she being 'robotic' again? What a disheartening notion. As she lowered her hand, she saw a man step from the dressingroom, but paid no mind. Shizuo seemed to be preoccupied with his business.

She took a couple steps before noticing her shoe had come undone. What a pain! She needed to find a chair so she could fix it. Scanning the area, she saw a few seats with hardly any people. There was one girl sitting in the closest set of chairs. Presea moved over slowly.

Sitting proved to be it's own challenge. The key on her back didn't allow her to sit normally in a chair, so she had to turn her body sideways. This left her facing the girl sitting there. Presea started to re-lace her shoe. Oh, she shouldn't be rude, right? "Hello." Her voice was soft, and she didn't look up from her task until the laces were secured.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

@ Aila

Partner? Really? Wait, Aila had a partner? That shouldn't have been as surprising as it was. But Aila had come off as the sort who wouldn't partner with someone. She would do everything by herself.

Then again, he'd had limited interactions with her, and twice, he had fought her, and she had been left seeming rather put out at her defeat. "I see. That explains why he was comfortable enough to hide behind you." He shifted in his seat, poise becoming relaxed. "Are you blaming yourself for that thing with the girl?" He didn't know what else had transpired, wasn't aware of the other issues, the other rockets that were really getting under her skin. "Because if you are, you really shouldn't."There was no way to prevent it, unless they hadn't come." Or if she hadn't come and never found out.

Oh well that was just perfect. Frost flipped his visor back down and, seen as Izumi seemed to be focused on somebody else for at least a moment, he took the opportunity to slip away into the crowd before the giant Russian could turn around and spot him.

...Where was Xander?

Izaya had dragged him off, but Frost couldn’t see where they’d gone now. Why had Xander left him by himself? There were people everywhere, they brushed against him and he strove to get further away from the drinks table. Noise. Light. Smells. Some of the people in the crowd were starting to get drunk. The floor was sticky in places with spilled drinks. Where was Xander? Xander had left him by himself in favour of going with Izaya. Somebody bumped into him and spilled some kind of sweet alcoholic drink on his shoulder, but he didn’t pause to hear either apology or scolding. Where was Xander? He was going to find him and drag him away from Izaya, and then they were going to leave and go home so he could get clean and then they could go for a drive or a walk or he could show Xander some of the interesting things he was working on or something!

He couldn’t see Xander anywhere. Damn! Why did he have to be so short? Why did Dith have to be here? Why had Xander just left him like that? Why was it so loud and crowded and everything else awful?

Tense, but not otherwise visibly perturbed, Frost moved on through the crowds until he found a relatively quiet corner. Maybe he’d just stay here for a while, go looking for Xander again in a little while. Yes. That sounded like a good idea.

*****

(Punch, Izumi/Jerome, Claire/Faleen)

Dith was still hunting for a proper drink when a pink Golbat appeared by his ear, startling him into ducking and giving a squeak of surprise. Once he had recovered from the moment of startlement however he chuckled briefly and shook his head at himself. Feeling slightly better about the world simply for that moment of silliness – and feeling very glad he hadn’t bashed into or jumped on anyone – Dith relaxed somewhat. On doing so he spotted two people he recognised; Sera’s Mordecai, and Izumi.... Ah, and a third; Jerome. He had been about to go over and commandeer Izumi’s attention, ask her how she was enjoying things, but perhaps it would be best of him to step back and let her just get on with the enjoying. Giving the angel a smile and a wave, and then giving the wolf a nod, Dith stayed where he was.

Having ruled himself out of going to chat to Izumi Dith turned to look for something else to do and spotted a young steampunk – rather different to Dani’s interpretation – fiddling with... something. Some glowing part of a costume, maybe stylized wings? Grabbing a bottle of beer and absentmindedly opening it with his bare hands, Dith watched with interest.
