Hahahaha, I love reading a good rant, Sorry for your loss Keith
I miss reading the Jacen/Jaina books, like the ones where they have the chewbacca expy and get into all sorts of misadventures. Good times.
In other news I'm done with finals, so... awesome?

Don't mention Chewbacca. I still get teary eyed whenever I read/see a story with him since reading Vector Prime. crying
Keith: Sorry, bra. I keep forgetting not everyone's read the Legacy of the Force series yet.

At the very least, in my opinion, he got the most badass death in all of Star Wars.
KOTOR was a great series, but my favorite comics are the Legacy series. John Ostrander is a great writer. Also, Darth Talon is a ******** babe, and I ******** love Darth Nihl. Tales of the Jedi, Dark Empire, and Crimson Empire are among my favorites too.
But my favorite EU stories so far have to be the Republic Commando series of novels as well as just about anything written by Karen Traviss(I'm a huge Fandalorian, I can't help it), the Darth Bane trilogy, and the Rogue Squadron novels(particularly I, Jedi; Corran Horn is ******** awesome). Also, while not on my favorites list, Allegiance(Timothy Zahn is an amazing writer), Shadows of the Empire(both the novel and the game) and Death Troopers deserve special mention.

I probably won't be getting the game for a while. Nothing against the game, I'm just not an MMO player(I found both Wow and Rift unbelievably boring, Guild Wars only slightly less boring).
That and playing just about any internet-dependent game on its first week tends to suck, as that's when most of the major game breaking glitches happen.

Transformers: SOUNDWAVE!?!?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO -hasn't seen Dark of the Moon yet-
Yeah, okay... kinda hard to care when the bestest Decepticon ever gets turned into a satellite... coulda been worse, but still... Soundwave superior.
SW: Heheh, Boba Fett rules. Wow, I really need to pick up a Star Wars book O.O And I could have quite easily gone the rest of my life without hearing about Chewie...
As for The Old Republic, last I checked, which admittedly was a while ago, availability in Australia was delayed to a non-specified date which means they can burn in hell, not that I play MMO's >.>
Add to that the SW: Blue-Ray edits and it's kinda hard to keep faith with LucasArts decision making

Take solace in the fact that in order to kill Chewie, they literally had to drop an entire moon on him.
All in all, as much as I love him, I can't say I'm dissatisfied with the way he died. He died as a long-running hero with his reputation SHOULD(seriously, DC Comics needs to take notes, they SERIOUSLY don't know how to do proper character deaths if the last decade or so proves anything); in his reigning moment of glory. In my opinion, he has the most badass death in the whole Star Wars canon, and (again, only my opinion) really in all of sci fi, with maybe Supergirl's death in Crisis on Infinite Earths in close second.
No comment on the Star Wars blu-ray edits, as I haven't seen them yet. But in reference to edits in Star Wars in general, I'm not as up in arms as most fanboys tend to be about them, as I actually find myself agreeing with many of the edits(Chewbacca should ALWAYS have been part of the award ceremony at the end of the first movie), though I do find just as many of them pretty bad(Han shot first, you bastards).
Tell me, did they at least make Return of the Jedi watchable? Only like 25% of that movie wasn't god awful.

I'll be honest, I haven't seen them either (personally I think blue-ray is a waste of time) but one of the most "popular" edits is at the end of Return of the Jedi.
We all know of the epic death scene/turning point of Darth Vader, barely able to stand after his humiliating defeat by the pansy Skywalker, idly watching the Emperor electrocute his a**, until something in him clicks, and in one final move of badassery, solidifying his place as the galaxy's saviour, picks up Palpatine and throws him down the long, seemingly bottomless shaft that honestly doesn't make a lot of sense being there. It was one final moment of silent glory that nicely polished of the original trilogy.
Although the edit is small and almost negligible; they, right at the apex of the scene, before Vader does his self-sacrifice thing, dubbed in him saying "No... NOOOOOOOOOO!" in an attempt for some emotional based denial of the Emperor which, in my personal opinion, completely destroys the scene and makes Phantom Menace Anakin look like a decent addition to the character, and he's almost as bad as Jar Jar!
Sorry for the rant, I don't like it when they mess with Darth Vader, including the Hayden Christensen ghost at the end of the movie... Yoda and Ben are still old farts, why would Vader be any different!?!

Jealous Keith, very jealous. They need to make it for mac....
Legacy is prettay cool, but the republic commando series is awesome~
ahem: because hayden christensen is the good part of vader that lives.
but no, I totally agree with you Kandrix. And JarJar.. dear god why
The new Star Tours in Disneyland has him as a possible one of the 3 events you go through.... I got him the first 3 times...
The rest of the ride is sick though B)

....chewbacca's dead crying
*ponders quitting guild*
jk blaugh but i havne't followed the star wars books sadly. i want to thought starting with Darth Bane and Zannah. and for dark of the moon its been a while since i saw it..all i know was that it was better than revenge of the fallen and the deceptacons kicked a** again. And i played the game and i like soundwave biggrin so it kinda sucks how they turned him into a satellite.
But starscream was the s**t imo...he also was in beast wars

and speaking of star wars, any1 picked up swtor? i got it as an early xmas gift(went w/mom to purchase it) but..due to shitty situations, i cant play it on my comp. At this point, part of me wants to attempt to look for pieces to build a gaming comp for the 1st time rather than buy a tower. As Im looking for another attempt to take the anti-virus off, i know that even with the virus off, i still have my c;drive problem and the graphic card is glued to the motherboard so i can't play online games without it looking like shyt:/
