Name for Mortal: Hezekiah Karducci
Brief Bio (What's he do? Where's he from? history and personality and all that jazz): Hezekiah was the only son born to an intelligent and well-educated set of parents. His mother was a marine biologist, traveling often and bringing home many wondrous objects and pictures from the places she'd been. His father was a very well paid accountant, handling more than just the taxes, but rather every financial nuance of a decent sized company that provided various goods for mass sale. Life was good growing up. Hezekiah aced his science and math classes, and even did wonderfully well in art. English he was decent at, though he despised classes such as P.E., Speech, and any foreign language presented to him. He simply did not have the personal tools to excel in those areas.
This did not stop him from earning a scholarship to attend one of the top colleges, however. When it came time to choose a major, his father pushed him towards mathematics, his mother encouraged him to turn to science. As fond as he was of his parents and their influences, he had an entirely different direction in mind. Art skills were not known in the family, generally speaking, but there were certain aspects of those art classes he had thrived in. Thus, with some disappointment but full support from his parents, he chose Architecture as his major.
The lines, the curves, the relation of this angle to that... how he loved learning to apply the math to the art of buildings! He spent his days studying joyously, poring over textbooks and taking time to tour historical buildings in the area. During holidays he shared his triumphs with his parents. Though his father was fully content with his son's chosen profession, his mother wasn't entirely giving in. She would often bring up fascinating topics from science magazines in a clear attempt to catch his interest. He would nod politely, but his smile was confidence in his own choices.
But then the world went mad. The first few weeks seemed almost normal for a college campus, if run a little wild. But the more time passed, the more dangerous things became. Classes weren't officially cancelled, but were simply abandoned, by teachers and students alike. Hezekiah was terrified, not being well-equipped to deal with such erratic chaos as this. He hunkered down in his dorm room and stayed put as much as possible. The worst was when the sky disappeared. But then... it all halted. In fear for his family, he found his way eventually to his parents home, only to find it destroyed. He gathered the few things he found of sentimental value, and then joined a caravan headed for where it was said the gods resided, where safety could be found.
So now Hezekiah has found a certain amount of strength in himself he did not know he had. He still will stutter if asked to present information to more than two or three people. He still tends to keep to himself and say little, even moreso now than before the disaster. But his body has grown stronger, for all the traveling. His value of life has become more prominent, having seen so many lost. His determination to live and build the world anew has become a bulwark of steel. If the gods can save them, then he will be one to help pick up the pieces and bring beauty into the ravaged world once more.

What book is he holding?: In the ruins of his childhood home, he found one of his mother's biology reference books. He doesn't know if they are alive or dead, but he carries this book with him both to remind him of them, and to remind himself that buildings do not live, but they are made for those who do.

Name for Mortal: Strider Graeyson
Brief Bio (What's he do? Where's he from? history and personality and all that jazz):
Strider is the only child of Samuel and Amaris Graeyson, a banker and a chef. His father wanted him to follow in his footsteps, even getting him a job as a bank teller. He lasted about two days. His mother suggested he try cooking like she does, and after nearly burning the kitchen down several times, she insisted that he find something he wanted to do.
He grew up in a typically middle class family, the jester of his class in high school, There is even an award in the yearbook in his name as 'The Most Likely To Pull A Prank'. He has always wanted to be a comedian secretly, though his looks deny this, and took classes from various schools after his failures with his father and mother's professions. He is a complete failure when it comes to comedy though. He excelled in his classes, but when trying to translate that humor over to a stage show, he hesitates. His nervousness rises, his timing falls off, and he ends up flopping. Graeyson has not learned to use what he sees in real life and make it funny yet. Until he does, he will not succeed.
A few years ago, he began traveling, simply watching shows while working in the various bars and theatres. He has tried to sub for comedians when problems come up but his humor leaves a bit to be desired. Several times he has even tried to dress as a clown and try his humor out on children at birthday parties. Few ever laughed except to make fun of him. He truly desires to be a good comedian, not for the notoriety and fame, but to make people smile.
Whatever charisma and ease he had in high school, it has slipped away from him now. He can be loyal if the person deserves it from him. He is playful, curious, and has a good sense of humor. He simply needs to learn how to use it.
