Lucian sighed, just listening to the conversation for that moment. He sat back relaxing and listening to the other two's words. When home got brought up by Dema, Lucian looked at her curiously. "Where do you come from?" He asked aloud. He and Voit had both exposed where they had come from; why hadn't she?

Dema, for a split seccond, held a look of panic in her eyes. How would she explain to them her origins as vaguely as possible without blowing her cover? She didn't want to lie or make an a** of herself, either. After a moment of thought, she hesitantly muttured, "I'm...I'm sort of a runaway. I came from a rich family, although for obvious reasons, I won't say which. I was tired of being expected to be a useless little submissive money-dispensing post-marriage sex object, so I asked a friend who looked like me to take my place and enjoy the luxuries while I went out adventuring. I keep in contact with her, checking up on my friend every now and again while updating her on my own adventures. Long story, sorry for boring you, but there you have it. The origins of your beloved Dema~" The last sentence was said in a playful, slightly flirtatious manner.

A wind hit the needle's out of the air as Kale held his hands up in the air. "I give up" he said simply spreading his palms out before dropping them back down. "As I said before I am running out of spells and killing you in a match that is just supposed to be a surrender match wouldn't be very sportsmen like would it" Kale said waving the official over. "I surrender to this knight" Kale said putting his hands in his pocket. "It was fun Kyrell" he said smiling as he watched the knight. He had caught his attention a good deal and even if he could he didn't want to kill him just yet hoping for him to become a bit stronger.
Holding his hand out for a hand shake Kale or Jacob as he was currently known held a small smile. His aura showed no harm or foul intent what so ever just a simple handshake. "Hopefully next time I can come with a bit more to work with" Jacob told him laughing his hand still extended. "Also next time maybe your friend won't put up several helpful spells on you from the sidelines" kale told him exhaling deeply as a mist seemed to form from his lips flowing as it wrapped around Kyrell showing his body with a slightly green aura displaying the magic cast on him for a moment before fading.

When they reached the torture chambers, Faye stuck close to Esma's side. She basically clung to her arm like a small child. She was such a bipolar person that as soon as they were away from those chambers she turned a bit more cheery rather quickly an oddity since she came to this castle. She had always seemed upset since coming here that, even if it was just her being bipolar, showing so much happiness was odd for her; though, it only showed because she had made a friend in Esma and she wasn't forcing her to stay in this hellhole.
"So, how long have you been here?" she suddenly asked and, without waiting for an answer kept questioning Esma, "What's your family like? Have you ever loved someone?" her curious questioning would only stop if Esma interrupted her. Ever since Listelle left her to take over the princess' role and Faye felt more like an individual than just a familiar she had changed. And kept changing. It was probably just because she wasn't sure who to be without Listelle.
|Sorry if my post doesn't completely make sense. I've been up for a while just typing away because a virus corrupted my entire novel so I had to take what I had as a hard copy and then re-write the rest while it was still rather fresh in my mind. So, I'm really tired and don't make much sense right now lol|

{Don't worry, it's fine. ^.^}
"I've been here for six years, at the very least. Most servants go that long without stumbling into a deathtrap or finding some other way to get themselves killed. I was orphaned at age seven, when the brothel my mum worked at collapsed as a result of poor craftsmanship. I never knew my dad. I was a beggar for a year. On my eighth birthday, I was sick and tired of begging so I tried to get a job as a maid. Most, surprisingly, don't hire eight year olds to clean their house. At least, not where I came from. I eventually got a job before I turned nine, but it was cleaning up the gore from some murderous nutjob. Even after he died when I was twelve, the only employment I could find was cleaning up gore for butchers or murderers. I guess that's how I ended up here when I was thirteen. Yeah...my home country isn't a very nice place to grow up, and at first, I thought this was a huge improvement. I have long since realised otherwise, since at least the murderers back home remembered to pay the ones who clean up their messes - if they didn't do it themselves." Esma didn't know why she was telling her story to the princess, or why she even cared to hear it. Most really didn't care to get to know it, and if they somehow did, they'd treat her with shock or distain upon hearing how she treated the thought of associating with murderers and the like without so much as batting an eye. Then again, working for Kale, she'd probably have to have this sort of mentality. Torturing adventurers and the like was always such messy business!

Lucian's eyes looked over Dema in a new light. She'd done basically the same thing he had. Even if they were escaping different parts of their wealthy names, they were both still escaping. He smiled blankly, unable to think of something to say. In light of his empty mind, the thought of marrying the princess and all the name saving that would come with it came to mind. It couldn't really be that much work. He could always have the princess do it, right? Right. He grinned mischeviously, his eyes again on Dema. [-sorry. block. This entire post is probably crud.-]

{It's okay, don't worry about it. We all have our blocky moments.}
"What's got you grinning so much? You look like you just stole the winning ticket from a million gold lottery." Dema remarked with a small smirk, wondering if she had said something strange or something.

[-I'm sort of surprised you got something out of that mess. Then again...when you roleplay, you learn to pull something out of nothing.-] Lucain continued to grin broadly as he answered Dema. "Eh, nothing. Nothing at all." He chuckled as he finished his statement, leaning back in his seat - only to fall over. "Ouch." And so, his grin went away, and he was making strange pained faces. He glared at Voit for a moment. "THAT WAS ALL YOUR FAULT!" He accused, although Voit had done absolultely nothing to cause it. In fact, at that moment, Lucian was searching for reasons to back up his accusation.

{It wasn't a bad post. What's really difficult is giving more than three sentences for a one-liner post.}
Dema snickered at Lucian's falling over. She began laughing once he promptly blaimed it on poor, blaimless Voit. "Care to explain how?" she asked, thinking that he'd certainly come up with some interesting and colorful blatant lie to try and justify his accusation.

Lucian looked at Dema, thinking carefully. "Well. He started a conversation with you about what you guys were going to do after saving the princess. Then you talked about home, which made you ask you about your home. Your explanation got me thinking about something, and when you asked me what I was thinking, I started to chuckle. Then...he must of poked me or something, since I fell down out of nowhere. Thus, it had to have been his fault!" Lucian overexplained excitably, giving a broad explanation that wasn't completely a lie. He'd even found a way that it could be considered Voit's fault. "See? It was completely and totally his fault!"

Dema couldn't help but applaud Lucian. She had to give it to him; he had manipulated enough of the truth to put him in favor - even if one couldn't help but be a little skeptical about it all. "You're getting better at this." she praised him with a small chuckle. "Your lies are always interesting to hear, you know that?"

Lucian grinned mischeviously. "Ah, but I'm not lying, now am I?" He asked, chuckling to himself. Technically, he hadn't lied at all. Technically, completely told the truth. Just not the whole truth. "Voit, you owe me one gold coin for making me fall." He said decisively, holding out his hand towards the unwitting knight.

(( due to some at home issues, I have been gone for a little while and might be gone longer too sorry TT~TT )) Voit listened to Dema's replies in silence, thinking it over to himself. He was going to respond when the man was suddenly accused of Lucian's own clumsiness. All Voit could do was sit there, mouth agape while Lucian put together his case. Which was..actually kind of logical. Though when the man held out his hand, he only got Voit's large palm smacking it away with a very oblivious look upon his features. "Oh lookie, I'm up next!" The man whistled, clearly trying to get away from Lucian's cries of protest about his money. Before he left, Voit bent down and gave Dema a swift kiss on the cheek. "You may not have had a happy life at first, but we'll help you obtain a good future where you're content. Right Lucie?" The tall man laughed, a mischievous look returning to his eye. "I'll be expecting a kiss from you too honey, after I win this match~" Voit declared of Lucian, pretending to flutter his eyelashes before laughing his way down towards the arena. Yeah, it was best to go into a fight with a good laugh.

Kyrell glared at Jacob with a twitch of the eyebrow. It seems the armor gave him away. The armor was knightly and couldn't be obtained by ordinary citizens but even so, Kyrell somehow felt the need to deny his knighthood or... err... EX-knighthood since he associated knighthood with being chained down and bound to the king or whatsoever lord a knight served. Kyrell became a bounty hunter because the king would not let him go but he, himself, needed sustenance. That's how he got appointed as a bounty hunter - loyal not to the lord that demanded but the target that needed to be eliminated. If there was no target, no lord could boss him around. It was Kyrell's ultimate desire - freedom.
When the magic-user held out his hand in surrender, Kyrell was suspicious but seeing as Jacob already announced his surrender, it felt safe to take that hand after all. However, when Jacob mentioned help without any mention of the necklace, he grew skeptical, crying out "What are you--" But he stopped in his words when he saw the aura. Lucian! He muttered to himself, thinking about any possible people who could have done that other than the old black mage, whose presence could no longer be felt around the arena and Kyrell didn't exactly know Brigs yet. He thought then, that because of the help, Jacob was conscious not to fight any longer. And that was the excuse Kyrell believed that such a powerful adversary would yield when he could easily defeat him.
"Till next time." Kyrell smirked.
Afterwards, Kyrell gasped for air as he walked slowly back to the waiting room where he saw Voit heading back there from the stands. "VOIT!" Kyrell hugged the man, pulling all his weight down on the other knight. "Thanks for supporting me from the sidelines. I appreciate it." He said in the man's ear before letting go.
"Well, I'm pretty tired but I guess I'll thank Lucian if indeed the support magic my opponent was talking about indeed came from him." He said with a chuckle though half the time, he was coughing in the middle of his sentences due to lack of breath. Now, the knight who was known for his supreme speed must now walk ever so slowly back to the stands, knowing full well that he was too tired to go any faster than that.
It was near the semi-finals where four of the toughest were left to compete for the loot and eternal glory. Three among the competitors were Kyrell, Voit, Forge and an unknown contestant, probably the defending champion of last year's Battle Royale. Though there would be another fight before the true victor is announced, it seemed clear that Dema's troupe would have this in the bag even if they have to fight among themselves.
[-I am OFFICIALLY back on the week-ender schedule! ARRRGH!! Maybe someone will ask how I'm here... I snuck out~! XP Rogue master! -]
