Israfel was jumping up and down with pride and more joy, (more joy then perhaps anyone who had the misfortune of being in Christmastown), might have ever seen the Siren exude. little wings flapped in the air and held him aloft for a few seconds before he fell back to earth. "I flew, er, well mostly glided, but I FLEW! Thank you Jericho! Thankyouthankyouthankyou-" He kept going at it for a while, giving the red dragon yet another hug. Thankfully the siren's gushing and rushes of 'thanks' were silenced when the teacher spoke. Looking at Castor who had rolled onto his back and just kind drooped, Israfel picked him up and offered the star scareon a treat, which he happily devoured, and even was kind enough to purr when Irafel gave him ear scratches. "Uh....Israfel looked at the courses. Land, Sky and Sea. That was how he saw it. He'd been land raised and had only just managed to learn flight. "I know I took the air, but..." Castor curled up in his arms, apparently much happier with food in his belly. "I prefer the ocean, er, water. To be honest."
He was a siren after all.

Curse had almost fully recovered, and Whisper relaxed back into her chair. This class had been an emotional roller coaster, and it had truly exhausted her. She scratched the bad luck cat behind the ears, and when she saw other students gathering around Professor Malcolm she figured she should join them. She placed the cat on her shoulders and briskly walked over. She overheard some of them talking about the routes they had preferred, and when she finally got her chance to talk she stepped forward.
"Hmm, I would have to say that I preferred the land route." It was seemingly the safest route, if you could fight that is.

Malodore looked down at the scrags now sleeping in the crook of its arm, marveling slightly. The scene was familiar - Parassiti was its childhood pet, after all - but it hadn't happened since the plague doctor had left the Casa...
It shook its head, shifted just a bit so that Parassiti was held close to its side, and moved carefully over to Professor Malcolm. "As I neither swim nor soar, I suppose land is the only suitable option," it said, speaking quietly so as not to wake Parassiti up.

The moment she felt the tentacles releasing them Alcyone felt a wave of relief sweep over her. When she saw that Sin, Pantaloons and Eri were alright, Alcyone finally realized that they were conveniently dropped next to all of the students and their professor. Hopefully this was supposed to happen or else they failed... miserably.
Basically... he was saying that strong bonds were created when placed in ... stressful situations. That would mean that she and Sin were best friends for life at this rate. Chuckling to herself, Alcyone pat Eri softly on the head. "You did pretty good, Eri. You too Pantaloons." Grinning at Sin, Alcyone approached Malcom and spoke, "Thank you for the lesson Professor. It was very.. enlightening." Wringing out her wet hair as she spoke, Alcyone continued, "I think I'll go with water. Thanks again." Smiling, Alcyone was pretty happy about the outcome of this class.

Calder pushed himself back on his hooves and moved in line, glad the class was over. Professor Malcolm's words meant a lot to him. It had been a big test of trust for Calder to let Christof ride him and so...publically. It was also something that could get him in trouble if anyone from his clan found out, but Christof passed, and Calder felt minnows of glee and nervousness in his stomach as he thought what this meant.
Calder moved up to the professor, a bit lost in his own head, before remembered what he needed to say. "Uh, even though I was on land, I prefer water." To which he was given a shell. It was rather small considering the big tentacles that had grabbed him. Taking it, he headed out to find Christof. He had something to give the Igor.

Sin was surprised to actually feel a slight mist in her eyes at the professors words, but she quickly blinked and forced a more self assured expression. She tenderly brushed a hand along Pantaloons back and held her little Unmentionable close. It had been a good lesson, an important one after what had happened. She gave Alcie a mild smile, she already knew the value of true friends, and if she hadn't before she certainly did now.
She took a deep breath and walked over to the Professor. "Thank you Professor Malcom, that was...an excellent lesson. I'm much more comfortable on land though then water."
She let Pantaloons go so she could wait for Alcie before going back to her dorm to change into something drier.

Christof hobbled up behind Calder, and while he couldn't outright admit things, it was very clear by the way he practically hugged the earth beneath him, he was happy to stay on Dry Land. Scruff seemed happy enough, trotting along beside him, unphased by their recently completed adventure and much more interested in the cocoa than Christof had been. Well, it had been a bonding experience. But as he approached the professor, he gave the ground a firm stomp and a nod. In any future event, he was not going to try to make his way through open air nor through the water, even if he could ride on a Kelpie's back to get there. He might not NEED to breath, but even so his body appreciated the gesture all the same. Air and solid ground were good.
