Oro's answer only served to fuel Zaul's curiosity more, not to mention that reminder that there was a gaping hole in his chest. When it wasn't leaking that golden gel anymore, he had forgotten it was there for a moment under the darkness of night. Or maybe it was also that he was a bit drowsy by now. It was getting late.

But judging from his brother's foolishness, he just may find the answers to his questions fairly shortly.

But what was this now? Emil and Lloyd mentioned a Colette...Zaul had heard of Sylvarant's Chosen too, but he was still under the impression that it was a coincidence. He'd heard the names of the Heroes of Regeneration but never knew what they looked like yet. Except for Zelos and Regal.

Just as surprising was Cleo's reaction when asked about cute and cuddly things, to which he blinked at. Such a sudden shift from her coldness. It was almost...odd. When she stated her name, he was reminded the proper introductions hadn't gone around yet. "Ah, yeah. And I'm Zaul..." And with a bit of a mischievous smirk, he continued, "Now what's this about makin' ya all smaller? If it also helps that hole in yer chest, I'd say it's th' best course 'f action y'can take here."

Hina tilted her head to her right, a confused look on her face. "A travelling mercenary? Do you have some sort of job here in Hima, or are you just resting here?" She asked him, straightening her head as she finished speaking.

Oro felt his hope dwindle with every word coming out of the others' mouths, "Et tu, Zaul? And here I thought you'd be my one ally if it turned out this way." emotion_eyebrow

"Well now that we are in all in agreement, let me say this first. Reveal what you are about to see to anyone and Oro and I will break our moral code as well as your neck."

"Tch, figures he doesn't even give you a chance to change your minds."

"Now let's slap this on and reveal the new, compact, cute, cuddly, fur-"

"Just get it over with!" scream With that schwarz slapped the tag on Oro's head and with a blast of light and a puff of smoke, a small blond wolf pup landed sprawling between Zaul and Emil.

"I give you puppy Oro. Isn't he just adorable." emotion_kirakira

Oro gave a small not so menacing growl from where he lay.

Veig nodded his head to Hina's question. "Yeah, that's where I got the wound from. There was a group of bandits around here that were robbing travellers so I took a job to wipe them out." He then looked over to Hina. " So, why are you out here? I don't know why someone would travel out here alone."

Emil gave a nod to Schwarz after he mention that what was about to happen shouldn't be revealed to others. "You have our word." He said. He himself had secrets he had been keeping, and he knew that he should respect Oro and Schwarz's wishes. His green eyes suddenly widen when he saw Oro had changed into the form of a wolf pup. "He changed into a wolf." He blinked for a moment. "Though I admit that he does look cute." ^.^

What surprised the blonde male was when he watched Cleo walk over and pick up Oro, mostly it was the look on her face. It's like she became a different person. He thought to himself. He would then turn his attention to Lloyd. "She would probably call him 'Doggie' like with Tenebrae." He chuckled as he thought about how Tenebrae didn't like to be called 'Doggie' or 'Paw Pad'.

Colette walked over to the entrance to the inn as Jason pulled the knob. She would gaze over to him for a moment. "Is that a new Dwarven Vow?" She asked curiously just before she entered the inn.

Zaul's smirk turned into a grin at Oro's initial statement. "What? It sounded better'n stayin' outta town all inconveniently unrested n' unfed." mrgreen And he nodded at what Emil said about keeping their word.

And then POOF. He coughed a bit and reflexively shielded his eye from the light with one arm, and waved away the smoke with his free hand. Once it all cleared and he got a good look at Oro's new form, his eye widened and his mouth gaped slightly. He was too stunned to even notice Cleo's attitude shifting again as she went over to coddle Oro.

"Well I'll be." He blinked twice with a look of astonishment and rested his knuckles on his hips. "Ya...ya turned into a wolf pup. I'm sorry, I can't help it...that really begs th' question now, what are you people?" He crossed his arms. "Y'know ya still have our word on keepin' things secret."

Cleo removed Oro from his burial and kissed his forehead. "I'm sorry. I just like puppies, and you're very cute, even for a puppy. I was skeptical about you two at first, but, assuming that the other one can do the same, I think I actually like the both of you." The elf returned to holding Oro, but less hidden in her bosom.

"Huh." Lloyd began to think out loud. "If she likes puppies, maybe she'll like to meet Noishe, and I'm sure her and Colette would make good friends." Lloyd then looked towards Emil. "How is Tenebrae doing? Have you heard from him lately?" ^_^ He smiled.

"Nah, I think that's just a family saying." Cinkel responded to Colette as he walked in behind the two. As he entered the inn, he took off his gloves and rubbed his hands while looking about the room with caution.

"Yep. Though me mama could'a added a few good Vows, if you ask me."
He nodded at the people in the inn. "'Ello. Like I said, no sense knockin' on public doors." He walked in circles around the room, having nothing better to do.
