Omega: Danger Room control room: It's different watching the simulation from this side. Lillian had laughed thanks to the comments from Narcissa, Aren and Dom. She really needed that too. After he little break down what with the smashing of her desk and computer. And her minor confusion over if she absorbed Colossus earlier in the day or if she simply recalled it for need of the ability in the explosion. She really wasn't sure. She mentioned back to Cissa about methods of payment saying. "Your money is good in any form you need. Though cash is preferred." Lillian knew they were all joking never mind the fact that Cissa was certainly good for it as she had quite the large sum of money. Much like Lillian herself had. " Aren you have to of learned by now nothing in this world if free. There is always a cost of some kind. Oh and Dom is welcome if he thinks he could handle it. But I understand guys and their not being comfortable in their sexuality around other men." She couldn't help but add since she heard Dom's statement when he talked about himself in the third person. "It's understandable Dom being scared of having to measure up to the native size shifter. He is a grower after all." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It wasn't long after the back and forth about the foursome using her room renting it out and such went on did Cissa come back of the comms about a danger room session. Lillian got to her feet and brushed herself off. This might be good for her given her current mood. She had made her way down to the locker room and was stopped by Betsy Braddock better known as Psylocke. It seemed that Emma and some of the other senior xmen felt it best if Lillian didn't join in the DR session this time. They no doubt felt the imbalance in her mind and no doubt given their experience with Rogue wanted to be on the side of caution. It was just a for fun exercise it wasn't a really training session. So Lillian was left with Betsy to watch from the monitoring station in the control room for the danger room. No doubt Emma or one of the other telepathic instructors of the Academy notified Cissa that they were keeping her out. Over all it wasn't a bad thing to Lillian. Sure she would of loved being in there with her team taking care of things. But it was kinda fun to be able to watch from here. There were camera's all over the danger room. She could easily call up one for any of the others locations. Seriously there was even a camera at the top that gave an interesting point of view of the room. The exercise was really picking up as she could see. It started quick the AI wasted no time in kicking things off when it was started. A few shots were fired at the Omega's as more questions had been asked. But it seemed to bring people to the situation at hand. People move out some went solo some grouped up. But even separated it seemed they were even able to work together thanks to comms. You had Paladin hold up in a building with the new girl Ace. Rave joined them not to long in. You had Knoxx who was gaining help from Paladin with cover fire. And Dice going to assist her from her precarious situation. It was really good to see some of the team members working well together. Solaris and Tiny were together clearing out a building. One of the other new girls Digger made a whole in the wall of a building to get herself better cover. Covet was probably the wildest of the new people seeing her use four pistols at once. Domino would love to be able to do that Lillian was sure. Wow sometimes it was surprising to see how brutal Krakken could be. Sure his work with fire arms was well non existent. But seemed to be doing just fine bashing his opponent with the gun. Sidetrack was certainly doing well seemed to be comfortable. Taking out a few of the simulated opponents even got the sniper with the aid of Paladin. Psyche had moved to the high ground which wasn't a bad idea it was always good to have people at good vantage points in situations like this. The opposing numbers were catching up to the team. She could see some of them were starting to take hits. But over all none had been eliminated.

"Large mutant? I thought that only humans were part of the riot. My mistake."
The playboy didn't know that some mutants were here in the mall and took place in the riot. Yes, some mutants like himself had powers that masked the fact that they were gifted. He just thought that Rogue may have told them that mutants were here as well; besides Bella and Leo of course. Dimitri looked along with his Alpha partner Bianca to see his roomate walk towards what looked like Bella from their position. The playboy missed the performance Leo pulled off with large mutant but caught seconds of him breaking a hostile person's arm with ease; too much ease. Almost as if that was second nature to the man. Playboy knew how to break an arm but he never had to do so. It seemed that Dimitri was going to have to get to know his roomate a bit more, for there was more to Leo than his bad choice in taking girls on dates. Along with Renaissance was his leader, after Bianca made it clear that it was Bella.
Dimitri was glad that his roomate was alright and was holding up his own it seemed. Bella looked to be alright as well which made things more easier to deal with. The next best thing would have been to regroup with Siren but the kids that Bianca found in the mall forced that plan to be put on the back burner. Dimitri took a look at the three kids as Bianca was explaining that they had no parents. The three children were orphans. It was bad enough that they didn't grow up without their parents but being inside of this warzone without no chaperone made it even worse. Bianca's guess was that whoever was watching them ditched them when he or she had the chance. The kids, too young to make the guess that they were bailed on and gullible waited in the mall. Dimitri had a guess as well but his tone told Bianca that he wasn't serious at all.
"Or maybe they were just annoying. I'd do the same if i heard their nagging and crying twenty-four seven." he told her at the same volume of level she projected.
He was thinking about where they could place the children just until this thing was over. If police were here it would be easy to hand them to the cops. In addition this riot, like Rogue implied would have been over in minutes and they would be back at home. Dimitri would whip Tara and Lexi's asses(not literally..of would he?) at poker and he would get a free lunch. That was when Bianca asked him about the football player. Dimitri thought that she must not have got the joke. Maybe she didn't see him until after he was done dropping the guy on his a**.
"It was a joke. I got rammed into a wall when i got in the mall by some big guy but he won't be bothering us."
No, he wouldn't; instead another person would. Dimitri looked towards the source of the battle cry, seeing another person charging towards all of them. "Not at all." he replied to Bianca when she asked if Dimitri could handle this situation. The playboy thought that she was going to use her powers to take him out. It didn't take a genius to guess what would happen if the Playboy used his own against this man. Just like the hostile target, Dimitri sprinted towards the man closing the gap until he was one or two steps away. The playboy quickly planted his left foot and jumped off with it. His right shin was bent back exposing his knee. It was a Muay-Thai jumping knee technique. For a second it looked like Dimitri was going to use his right knee to connect with the chest of his attacker, stealing his oxygen quickly and leave the man stumbling until he fell on the floor. Instead he faked his attacker out by switching legs that he kicked with. This time Dimitri's left leg was cocked back, introducing his knee to the man's chin while his right knee went back to being straight for his landing.
Blood and maybe a tooth or two flew out of the man's mouth as he stumbled back one step before falling on the ground. The man was knocked out while Dimitri was lightly brushing off his knee with his left hand, being a show off his skills in muay thai. Dimitri went to double check to see if he was out for the count, so he wasn't able to take a look at the other Alpha's such as Alexandra, Lambchild, and Eli. The man would get back up eventually but there was a high chance that he wouldn't want to mess with Dimitri again. The man that was slammed by Playboy already dissappered. Just when he turned back to walk to Bianca and the children, an idea popped in his head as to where they could take the children.
"What about the police station in the mall?" Dimitri asked, once again lowering his volume. "I mean it's a mall...so there has to be a place where a few overweight rent-a-cops hangout and talk s**t. We can take the kids there, and regroup with Bella. Unless you got a better idea?"
"I just hope they didn't run out of cops trying to calm this fiesta down."

Let's just get this job done so we can go home and I can concentrate on turning back to normal." She wasn't mad anymore. He'd admitted to being wrong once, so what was the point in continuing to be angry? And she really did want to hurry and get this mess sorted out. She could feel the steel setting into her bones. It would take awhile to fade if she continually needed it, but if she was calm and laying down or something, it would go away quicker. Even so, she had this nagging feeling in her gut that it would take a lot of time to make the metal turn to flesh.
When Alex spoke of Siren questionably, Reggie turned to her, "The Alpha leader. Has a pretty cool power too." She nodded when Alex stepped back to let her metal self go forward, understanding the girl's silent request for defense. She didn't mind, really. She didn't want to see anyone hurt, so she would do what she could. Unless they deserved to be hurt, of course. But that didn't happen very often. She started after Eli, carefully deflecting people out of Alex's path. When they got up to Siren and the blonde girl with the kid Reggie nodded to them, "Rough time, huh?" She smiled a glinting smile the the kid, "Hey, I'm Reggie." Then she looked to the Alpha holding her, "I'll take her. I'm the best bet that she won't get hurt." After all, in order to hurt the kid, a person would have to take out Reggie. And in her current steel state, that was not going to happen. She held her arms out, smirking slightly, "I know I look like I'll crush her, but I swear she'll be okay. Nothings going to hurt the kid."
The metal girl's jaw clenched. She absolutely hated when kids were in danger. Nothing bothered her so much. She would have went over and helped Bianca with those children, but she had been relieved to see they had it under control. These people should be ashamed of themselves, all of the ones who just left these kids here. They could have been killed!

Evnetually everything was explained when Rogue came in, briefly explaining the siutation. This made him bummed out some. He didn't do too good around situations and circumstances like that. He sighed as he got into the van. There wasn't much of anything for him to do at the mansion anyway.
~~~ Mall ~~~
Marcel got out the van to see a lot of things transpiring yet it all fell under two of the one categories: confusion and chaos. He thought about something serious. Couldn't they just kill the humans off and the riots would cease. It was a little inhumane, he knew that very well, but they were acting really annoying right now. That and the last riot he was in was pretty much unforgiving to him for him doing nothing but causing an accident. He sighed as he figured there was the much safer approach at things. If someone threw something at him or yelled at him, he was taking them down. He didn't do too well around confusion and chaos. He ran into the mall, pulling his cap down on his face even further. He needed to get somewhere at least quiet enough for him to think before he did anything else. He wasn't trying to bail out on the others, but it was either that or he did things the brash way. The brash way was him attempting to cause a flood in the entire mall with every ounce of liquid he could get his head and hands on. He had to wonder about soda though. Omega. Danger Room: Simulated back alley: Survival 101: Out of sight out of mind. Since the overall objective of this simulation was to survive Megan wasn’t terribly worried about racking up kills against their faceless opponents. And since she wasn’t worried she could more or less move around with the idea of keeping out of sight and therefore out of harms way. She had her comm. unit turned down so she could hear the situations that the other Omega’s were facing without the noise drawing attention to herself. At the moment she was hard pressed to find any of the simulated attackers as it would appear that the commotion that the other Omega’s were kicking up had drawn them over to that area. So while she was off on her own Megan began to think. Obviously they needed a place they could regroup and whole up without becoming sitting ducks. As she mulled over the options she peeked cautiously around a corner leading to a side street. The alleyway was empty and Megan slunk up it keeping close to the wall and using anything she could for cover and when she reached the end she carefully peeked out to check. Looking both ways. Another empty street and oh what she wouldn’t give for a map. She could hear gunfire and it was close so she started slinking up the street and when she came to the main road peeked around the corner and jerked back spotting several of the simulated opponents all over the place. Most appeared to be converging on two buildings probably where the other Omega’s were clustered. Megan frowned and after a few moments decided to try and bait a few to take some of the pressure off. So without really looking she leaned around the corner and took a few shots at some of them hitting on in the back and causing them all to turn and return fire. Megan was already running for that back alley and she could hear a few sets of heavy footsteps coming around that corner indicating that she had indeed caused a few of them to come after her. She needed to either loose them or find a good spot to take them out before she got wasted. (Sorry...kind of got lost...been a busy week. -_-)
Team: Alpha's Winter WolfLocation:Garage-Mall with the Alphas Varis shook his head as he heard the orders to get in the vans from Rogue he knew her powers as well as the others he did not want to mess with Rogue or Wolverine, so he walked away from the Mustang and got into a Van driven by Gambit as he looked back for the others and then got in, as they sped towards the mall. He listened to Rogue's orders and set his Comm link to the correct channel.
Time Skip
Varis looked around as he watched the others talking and one running off he shook his head as he moved into the mall ready to freeze anyone he had to he could feel the liquid in the air from the people whether it was from sweat or the water in their breathes. He looked for the ones he had thought of as partners, Tsukino, Rob, and Raine. He saw Raine Almost immediatly as he entered the mall, after pushing people from his way and knocking them over in the process, seeing she had a ball of lightning in her hands and three people surrounding her he ran to her aid. "Raine!" He shouted waving an ice coated hand to show where he was and which Alpha he was.
As he leapt in front of her he coated his hands in icy spikes he stood tall to his full height smiling at the regular people in front of him. "I see you have issues with people unlike yourselves eh?" His Irish accent adding a more intimidating tone to his voice than he meant to have in his voice.~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ The starry eyes fade as it dawns on you, Nothing is guaranteed You are a part of the great divide, the chosen, or the frozen ((Sorry I haven't posted in so long I got a second job I will be posting more often though.))
Team Alpha's Moonlight Name: Tsukino Kazuki Ability: Barrier Creation Location: Mall with Raine and Varis plus a Big guy Thoughts: Whats with people nowadays and Time to do what i do best! Tsukino was at the red car as Rogue stepped in.She explained the situation they were all dreading as she entered the van with wolverine and ordered them to get going.Tsukino immediately got in the van that was designated for them and prepared herself for awaited her at the mall.
Time skip
Tsukino ran with the others to the mall and tried to stay close with the people she considered her friends.She wondered why everyone had scattered somewhat with various others,but hey whatever got the job done.She had just gotten through the front when she saw a icy hand,and she immediately knew it was Varis.Hopefully he wasnt getting himself into any trouble.She quickly ran through the people,pushing forcefully through them all,before she landed gracefully next to Varis.She looked in front of her to see a big guy and Raine next to her.Now wasnt the time to chicken out."Raine and Varis, I got your backs! Just leave the defense to me!"She said loudly in effort to make herself heard over the crowd of people.She threw her hands upwards and formed a orange triangular shaped barrier in front of her and Raine.She would create a second one for Varis when he needed it,but for right now he was doing the attacking.She prayed this guy was not a mutant or they might end up having some trouble.
Omega: Danger Room -- Simulation, go!  Kerrigan breathed a sigh of relief as the cover fire she called for was finally furnished to her, the redhead grunting as she holstered her weapon, rotating around to grab the rung of the fire escape with her other hand. It felt good to give her arm a rest, the redhead letting out another grunt through gritted teeth as she pulled herself up a few rungs to get her footing. The sound of a voice slightly above her few her attention, crimson hair falling into her face as she looked up and smiled. There was Dom, hand extended towards her as the redhead quickly ascended the fire escape a bit further to accept his help into the room. Her breath was slightly hastened, as it should be considering she was just dangling by one arm from a fire escape and shooting at some faceless computer program. " Glad my knight in shining armor is enjoying himself," she said simply, offering him another grin, pulling her gun from it's holster on her thigh, holding it ready as she suddenly swept her fellow omega behind her with one arm, leveling her sights on one of the entranceways into the room. At that moment, two holograms entered the room, both firing upon the pair as soon as they rounded the corner. Kerri was hit in her thigh, noting that her damage went down slightly, though that didn't stop her from returning fire. Firing off a stream of shots towards the two holograms, she managed to hit each in the chest once before taking them out with head shots. Dissipating into nothing, Kerrigan turned her head over her shoulder motioning for Dom to follow her. " We should probably get to higher ground, with the rest of the team," she said with a slight air of authority, though if he had a better option, she would be more than happy to entertain it. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Cissa and Aren heading into a building and disappear from sight, glad to see that they were no longer in the line of fire. There was other movement on the ground level, however, that concerned her - particularly when she saw Megan disappear into an alleyway, only to be pursued by several holograms herself. The redhead bit down on her lower lip for a moment as she made a quick decision, tossing her hair over her shoulder as she adjusted her grip on her gun. " Change of plans - we're going down," she said simply, glancing back to make sure that Dom was not only ready to follow her, but that he had his weapon at the ready. Of course, considering his powers, she wouldn't be surprised if he didn't want to use the guns at all - if she could do something more than copy physical actions, she would probably be going sans firearm as well. There was no reason to make things more complicated than they needed to be, after all. " Let's move," she spoke, inadvertently sounding more commanding than anything as she took off out of the room and down the hall until she came across the stairwell. She muttered something about having to work so hard to get up, only to have to go right back down, but it might not have made any sense as she Training her gun ahead of her as she quickly descended, the redhead wasted no time in reaching the bottom of the stairs, using her back to open a side door that entered the alleyway. There were definite steps to be heard, serving as the confirmation Kerri needed. She saw Megan's form come into view, the redhead taking careful aim to fire past her and not get involved in some sort of friendly fire situation. " Come on Digger, move that a**," she called out, managing to hit one, though she was rewarded with a shot to her right shoulder - momentarily knocking her shooting arm to the side. Another shot hit her left side, causing her to step back slightly, taking aim once more. There were three Omegas there - that was enough to take down any enemy. Now, it was time to start showing some of that famous Omega teamwork - Megan would get to see first hand just how they could operate together.
Alpha - Mall Parking Lot // Inside - Heave Ho - Inside We Go  Tara nodded as Dimitri said that he was going ahead inside, fearing that one of their teammates had made it inside before the rest of them. It was a legitimate concern - and to be honest, she wanted to make sure he didn't think that they were going to be inseparable at this point. He could take care of himself, just as she could obviously take care of her own. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw him disappear into the building, turning her attention forwards once more to, hearing a voice coming from slightly behind her that she recognized as one of their own - Lexi. The winds whipped themselves around the girl, giving her just as intimidating a presence as Tara's rocks lingering in mid air, ready to strike at a moment's notice. The difference between them was that Lexi didn't want to hurt them out of the goodness of her heart. Tara just didn't want to hurt them because she was told not to - one way or the other, though, these assholes were going to get out of their way and quit acting like 5-year olds throwing rocks on a playground because the teacher had turned the other way. As some of the people in the area started screaming for them to leave, Tara's brown eyes darted around, a frown settling into her features. Rather than pelt them with rocks until they moved a safe distance away (which would have been ironic considering what she had just stopped), she felt the winds move past her, obviously under her teammate's control. It moved the crowds back a safe distance, in a much nicer way than Tara obviously thought they deserved. Lexi asked if they were the only ones still outside, the rocks lowering to the ground as Tara surveyed the area. Raine was soon joined by Tsukino and Varis, which meant that she was no longer alone. That, at least, was a good thing, and offered them more freedom in terms of what they decided to do next. In her mind, there was really only one option. " You guys stay out here and make sure that nothing gets too out of control. Tempest and I are going to look for Siren and the others. Try to get these people to go home before the cops show up," she called out to the smaller group of three, seeing that between the three of them, they had a good set of powers to keep people at bay, and maybe encourage them to leave the area and go home. She felt a little bad yelling orders at them, but at the same time, if there were hostiles out here, it was best to make sure they didn't follow them inside and attack them from behind. Not to mention, they could serve as a good lookout incase the cops decided to finally arrive and take care of this mess. If they had a problem with what she asked them to do, they could bring it up with her later. " Come on," she said simply to Lexi taking off in a run towards the entrance to the mall. Every second they lingered in the parking lot was another second that their teammates were getting further inside, and into who knows what kind of danger. Thankfully, she wore flats, the brunette able to easily push obstacles out of their way with swells of earth and asphalt below so they had a straight shot at the door. Once they were inside, Tara tried to follow the sounds of their teammates, seeing some people making their way out as they were fighting their way in. It was nice to see that the vast majority of their number had made it inside - a confrontation near the fountain catching her real attention. There was a woman that seemed to have a spider-mutation that was not too happy with whatever was going on. Reggie took a girl from Aurelie, volunteering to get her back to the van safely as Tara joined the group, Lexi hopefully in tow. If she hadn't worked so hard to get into the mall, she would have offered to help with getting the girl to the van - but as it was, she didn't relish the idea of working her way all the way here just to turn around and work her way all the way back. However, now she was even more thankful that they'd left some outside to help with things exactly like this. " There'll be a few Alphas outside to help get you guys there. I know Glitter'll be happy to help you - just call for her once you get outside. It's still pretty bad, but they'll be able to protect you," she said to Flintlock, deciding against taking out her comm to inform the others that one of them was coming out. After all, they were only supposed to use it in emergencies, and hopefully this wouldn't qualify as one.
 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Team ↠ AlphaxxLocation ↠ Test Thread Eli nodded to Reggie's statement as he thought of what it'd be like to launch her at an enemy while she was metal. It could be a very very brutal outcome, for whoever was on the receiving end that is. He looked back, Alex looked so delicate, being so petite, being protected by the woman of steel.
Continuing on led the way through the hole in the shield that Aurelie let down, for them. He listened to the telekinetic's statement. He looked to the girl, and she felt sorry for her. If they were taking her back, that'd mean that she didn't have a family to go to, or possibly abandoned. It reminded him of his sister, who was now working on finishing high school; Her mutant powers had recently awakened, thus the reason for Eli's previous leave.
"It'll be hell and back getting her there with your hands full." He said, looking to the chaos that continued to rage on. "So, now that we got you guys, we headed home, or what?" Eli asked, he looked around, feeling somewhat useless as he had yet to use his powers to an extent. But at the same time, he was glad he didn't, considering the second to last time he used his powers in the presence of other AX members, his powers went irate, sending out Electromagnetic Pulses and Radiation.━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Is there something more, than what I've been handed? I've been crawling in the dark, looking for the answer! OOC ↠ simple, but effective I hope.
Aʆєxaηdra Ӎaʀiʆèηє Agηèȿ My hearts longs for the ability to help! ❃❂❁❀✿✾✽✼✻✺✹✸✷ ✶✵✴❄❅❆❇❈❉❊❋❖❤❥❦❧ ☀ Alex tilted her head slightly in curiosity. "What power would that be?" She felt happy that she would finally meet their leader. It had felt strange to the girl not to know her leader before her first mission. However, it seemed out of control circumstances made that the case. I hope she is reasonable at least. I don't mind a bossy leader, as long as their orders aren't ridiculous. Her idea of silly orders were ones that wouldn't help anyone but the leader. But, Alex hoped she could trust the X-men not to pick such people to lead the junior teams.
However, her mind became distracted by the girl(Aurelie) in front of them. She, like Reggie, had features Alex could appreciate. Reggie's lied in her hair, while the girl's(Aurelie's) lied in her body. Now if only those two could be combined....She felt a faint blush form on her cheeks as she stopped the thought from continuing. This is no time to think about the physical appearance of your teammates! It didn't help that the woman she assumed to be Bella was quite beautiful. Her looks reminded her of those Spanish girls she met when her and her mother went to Spain a few years ago. They do have exquisite features. I'll give them that much.
Even though her mind happened to be distracted, the French girl had listened to the conversation at hand. She couldn't help but feel a bit upset. How could they abandon her like that? I mean, I know most of my family would do that, but my own mother never left me! So, why can't other mom's love their child for who they are? Her lips moved themselves into a frown, her eyes looking at the ground. However, they didn't stay there long as a new girl(Tara) showed up.
She looked over at her and waved at her slightly. There is no reason why I cannot appear friendly in such a situation. Then, Alex heard Eli's comment and shook her head. "I do not think we can leave so easily. The riot does not look even close to calming down anytime soon." Her head turned to the side, watching as more people tried to flee while others picked fights. The scene tore at her heartstrings, making her almost want to cry. However, Alex knew that would make her seem childish. Thus, she held back the tears and clasped her hands together.
"I am not sure how much help I will be to you all." The statement had been made out of honesty, not out of insecurity like some might have thought. "But, I will do the best I can to help. Name: Lexi 'Tempest' Blythe Ability: Aerokinesis Team: Alpha Location: Parking Lot to Inside Current: Riots suck. They suck bad.
With the winds under her control, Lexi managed to keep the crowds a relative safe distance away from her position. It wasn’t difficult to make the winds move at gale force strength, it caused her more problems using the currents as something of a shield… not that it’d protect her from much of anything at all. Hovering up in the air the way she was, she wasn’t alien to the sights of more of her Alpha teammates showing up. Tsukino and Varis were arriving to offer assistance to Raine and her efforts to keep the crowds at bay.
She had to fight back every instinct to fight these riotous clowns head-on; it would have defeated the purpose of trying to stop the riot by flying in the middle of the crowd, even though she was quite confident she could kick the crap out of them if she really tried. She shook that thought from her head when she realized the sheer numbers against her and her teammates wouldn’t bode well in the slightest. Lexi was thankful that Tara heard her question over the crowd’s commotion. She wasn’t quite sure what to do, having to stop a riot was something Lexi never imagined having to ever do in her life.
Almost immediately, Tara gave the word that her and Lexi were going to head inside. That made the purple-haired aerokinetic frown slightly. If she were inside, she’d have a heck of a time trying to use her abilities… unless there was an open skylight or a very powerful air condition system inside the mall. But if that’s what the Earth Mover wanted.
“Sounds like a plan,” Lexi said to Landslide when she gave the word to ‘Come on.’ Letting herself float just barely above the parking lot asphalt, she turned her head to the small contingent of Alphas still left to take care of the surging mobs. “Be safe, guys!,” Lexi yelled back as she darted off, ‘chasing’ after Tara while the brunette was clearing a path to allow them easier access to the innards of the mall.
The moment she got inside, Lexi could not feel any real currents of air brushing by the exposed skin on her shoulders. Mocking a pout, she let her feet touch the ground and almost immediately had to start fighting against the flow to even follow Tara through the crowds. It was like the most violent of mosh pits she had ever seen in her life; punches being thrown, people being shoved to the ground and pounced upon. Things like this were what caused people to lose what innocent visions they held when it concerned the world and the people in it. Blocking and dodging a few shots that were thrown her way, Lexi managed to worm her way through the crowds and stopped she saw the back of Tara’s head. She’d found more of the Alphas, Eli, Reggie, Aurelie, Bella, and Leo. There was a small child that Reggie had taken from Aurelie, a child that she heard was going to going home with them all. Tara was quick to snap to, informing Reg that there were more of the team outside and waiting.
Lexi, upon hearing Alex’s words, walked up to the smaller blonde and stood by her side. “Don’t worry, Alex, I… we’ve got your back.” The purple-haired girl smiled brightly, despite the fact that she was pretty much useless at the moment and couldn’t feel any air currents flitting around her skin at all. If she had to rely on kicking people in the face, she would despite not wanting to cause anyone too grievous of harm. That was when she had a really quick, intuitive thought. What if...?
Holding her right hand out, palm up, she took a deep breath and then exhaled as forcefully as she could. The moment she felt the rush of warm breath wash over her hand, she concentrated as hard as she could. Lexi looked directly at her hand and saw the breath she had just exhaled dance and flit about in her palm before it looked to be folding in and wrapping around itself. After a couple more seconds of concentration, she had a swirling orb of pure wind dancing in her hand. Now, Lexi had something to work with. All she needed was the order to either stand tall with her squadmates here in the mall or to escort Reggie and the small child out towards the van that brought them all to the dance.
In the building that Christian hunkered down in, he couldn’t help but to feel a slight twinge of panic. Guards had seen him rush into said building and they were most definitely going to follow. There wasn’t much, if any, time to set up any sort of defense or to even formulate a plan. The sounds of shattering glass and gunfire told him as much. Crap, he thought as he popped up on a knee and began returning fire.
Simply put, using a bolt-action rifle against a semi-automatic weapon wasn’t the best or brightest idea. But Christian’s aim was comfort in this simulation, and there was nothing more comforting that using a weapon that he’d been using most of his life. Though there was a grave difference between using it to hunt and survive as opposed to stopping waves of advancing troops. To his delight however, these ‘guards’ had all the aiming prowess of the best Stormtroopers; meaning they couldn’t hit the broadside of a Sandcrawler. Most of the fire leveled at him went around him or were fired directly into the stone and masonry surrounding the broken out window. Though there was one that grazed his right arm, taking his damage down a tiny bit further.
“Dammit,” he said, looking at his comm. He was well-under fifty percent health for this game and silently, he thanked whatever deity would hear his prayer that most of the shots he took were only grazing, never a direct hit. That was when he heard a sound from the back of this particular floor. Without thinking, Christian ducked himself as low as he could to the floor, trying to hide as best he could in the shadows and avoid the dull glow of orange streetlights. He saw a lone guardsmen’s silhouette creeping through what he could only think was the kitchen or commissary area of this particular building. Just one… , he thought, knowing he had to keep himself out of sight. He couldn’t afford to be taken out right now; he wasn’t about to be the first one eliminated and have to hear it from the rest of his squad.
Christian watched the guard do a cursory sweep of the room, the flashlight’s beam just barely missing the toe of his boot. When the light went in the other direction, he couldn’t help but to draw his legs up towards his body. He knew he needed to move, and he knew he needed to be silent. That would be easy enough for him. Sliding the rifle’s strap over his shoulder, barrel down towards the ground, Christian dropped to his belly and began crawling slowly on the ground, eyes peeled and watching the direction of the light change from this way and that.
This little game of cat and mouse continued for roughly five minutes until Christian found himself with a rather massive armoire lying on its side. Instantly, he ducked behind it and kept himself low, to avoid being spotted. Still on his belly, he peeked around one of the corners of the overturned furnishing and saw what he could only think was a bar. The perfect cover. Hearing the guard’s footsteps shuffling again throughout the room, the opportunity was there for him to move again. Which he did effortlessly. He adjusted his posture from being on his belly to being on his butt, using the bar overhead as cover and waiting for the right time to strike. That’s all he needed was just one opening. That was when he heard the guard’s footsteps get closer and louder, closer and louder. He saw the light peer over the bar itself, just to his right. Then, nothing as he watched the light sweep up vertically than to the left horizontally. Now was absolutely perfect.
Taking his rifle into his hands, Christian slowly slid the bolt back and pushed it back as quietly as he could. With a cartridge securely in place, he slid himself out from his cover and stood up quickly without a sound. The guard was literally a quarter step from the bar, giving Christian more than enough time to bring his rifle up to sight and stick the barely squarely at the back of the guard’s exposed neck. “Surprise,” he said quietly, “Yer dead.” In that instant, Christian pulled the trigger, dropping the guard. One shot, one kill.
Feeling a bit safer, more secure now, Christian let out a deep sigh and looked around the room. There was still some random gunfire hitting the building, but it wasn’t as much as before. Maybe he had some time to gather his thoughts, or maybe barricade the doorways. He wouldn’t though as he moved to the back of the room, where the guard he’d just taken out came from and noticed the backdoor standing wide open. If there was only one guard that entered that way, it’d be a Helluva lot smarter to use that route than the actual street. Using the barrel of his gun as a lead, he realized he didn’t take any fire whatsoever upon exiting the building. Confident there was no one around, he hit the back alleyway and looked around, noticing more shadows moving through a building to his left, one of the upper levels.
Upon breaching the back entrance into that building, Christian heard the voices coming from upstairs filtering down through a vent. He wasn’t oblivious to the three bodies that lay strewn about the front entry way. Either the three were busting out of the building or… someone else had gotten them? He couldn’t be too safe or too sure until he knew who exactly was upstairs. Extreme caution was used as he crept up the stairwell as quietly as he could, hearing the voices getting louder and louder. Then, peeking over the topmost stair, he looked into the room and could only smirk. Three of his teammates were holed up in here, much to his surprise.
“Don’t shoot, folks,” Christian said, letting his rifle hang lazily off his right shoulder, “It’s only me, Sidetrack.” He stood from his crouched position, hands thrown up in the air to show his teammates, Rave, Ace, and Paladin his hands were weapons free. When his feet actually hit the floor, he walked in a few steps, then let his back hit the closest wall… and he slid down until his butt his the ground.
“Sorry ‘bout getting’ ya shot, Paladin,” Christian said while absently looking at his damage meter again. “Thanks for the assist though. Wouldn’t have been able to get ‘em without it.” His breathing was a bit taxed, but the running around throughout the street coupled with the adrenaline that was slowly ebbing from his veins had tired him out slightly. Even still though, he knew he was going to have to keep pressing on. The simulation wouldn’t be over until there was either one or none left standing.
"How's everyone else holdin' up?," he asked absently, wanting to check in on his other comrades in arms, both Rave and Ace. "And what's the next move or plan of attack?"
Omega - Danger Room - You'll Shoot Your Eye Out  Madison leapt over a small gap between two buildings and slid behind a metallic air vent there on the roof. Her chest heaved and her head pounded. These headaches were getting absolutely deplorable. Thinking herself safe for a moment, she pulled two ibuprofen out of the pouch on her belt. She knew full well that they probably wouldn't help, especially if the pain was psychic in nature. Still, the girl swallowed them dry, took a deep breath, and popped out from behind to take a shot at a bot leaning out a window across the street from her. Chatter still came from her comm. Their were still some people on the streets, but from what she could tell, many of them were heading into various buildings to deal with bots on the inside. She was probably lucky to have only run into one on the way up to the rooftops. Soon enough, though, Christian's voice came across saying that the sniper they had all been freaking out about had been taken care of. With him, Roland, and the rest seeming alright, the girl's attention turned to shots being fired on the other side, into the small alleyway behind her position. From the roof she could see Megan spinning around the corner, trying to get some over, yet a number of the bots came dashing after her. Maddy threw her bow over her back and grabbed the gun slung from her shoulder. As she did so, Knoxx seemed to come from nowhere a** she usually did with Dominik in tow to help the girl out. Still, Maddy leaned over the side of the building and began firing right down at the things. As she did so, though, a large crashing noise came from behind her. The door leading to this building's roof had been slammed open with a massive force, and two of the A.I.'s appeared with guns firing immediately. One shot flew directly into her right shoulder spinning her. Out of instinct the girl threw a psi-blade at them, which whizzed right past the second's head. Diving behind the air vent again, she could see shots whizzing above her. Sticking her gun up above the vent, she let a flurry of bullets in their general direction. Firing seemed to stop for a moment and, either bravely or foolishly, Maddy snuck a look, sticking her head just above the low vent. Her eyes widened as shots came at her again from the doorway. The girl fumbled with the gun in her arms, trying to reload it. She hadn't thought to bring too many extra clips-- not that she would want to weigh herself down with the things anyways. ''Simple laser tag' my skinny white a**,' the girl thought as she pulled her comm off her belt and brought it to her lips. "Oi, Knoxx, I'll keep giving you people cover from up here, but would you kindly send somebody up through to at least clear this building?" The girl leaned out from the side of the vent and took down one of the things before having to pull back in. "I got the bahstards swarming up on me up here!"Let's go downtown and talk to the modern kids./ They will eat right out of your hand/ using great big words that they don't understand.
Omega, Location: Danger Room To volunteer, or not to volunteer? s**t why not, I get to hit something right?
The sound of Sidetrack announcing himself as he walked in was a nice sight. The gunman held his rifle on his shoulder, clearly this guy has had some experience around a gun. Regardless of where the experience had come from didn't matter to him, fact is there was another person around to help. It also was a bonus that he appeared to be a good shot, something that Roland was lacking in.
"No worries Sidetrack," he replied to his apology, "s**t happens right? Plus it was a grazing shot. With my armor, that's nearly nothing." That was true enough, Dr. McCoy had determined that his armor had the equivalent ability of Kevlar, granted he could have told him that right off the bat. Roland's past life had some gunfire involved, so learning you were relatively bullet proof was a WONDERFUL thing. Roland took his gun and checked the action, making sure there were all the rounds in the chamber.
"It appears that we're gonna hold out at the moment." he said to him, "I suggested taking some furniture and using that as some kind of barricade at the stairwell, but I'm not sure what to do. I'll leave that kind of a call to you or Rave." He personally liked the idea, but also understood the risks involved. By doing that they could trap themselves in, and no one else could get in either, enemy or friend. If more people came and held up the area, he'd be more than happy to go through with it. However, he was still a bit of a rookie.
Regardless of his rookie status, he knew that communication in a situation like this was important. It was also important to get a visual on the ground below. Looking at his shotgun, he placed it on the ground near a window, "I'm hopefully gonna be back." he said as he continued up the stairs, his feet pounding along the steps as he made his way up to the roof. Opening the door quickly he quickly scanned the outside making sure there were no enemies outside. Ace told him that there weren't any others, but he liked to believe things with his own eyes and ears. The simulated wind blew his hair back as he scanned the landscape with his golden orbs.
Down below he saw Knoxx, Dice, and the new girl moving about, hopefully towards cover. No sign of crazy hair girl, Narcissa nor Aren, likely they were in cover already. Granted he didn't want to know the other new girl as crazy hair girl, but that was all he had at the moment. Looking towards the other buildings, he saw Psyche pinned down by heavy gunfire, several soldiers had poured out of the rooftop entrance. Balling his hands into fists, he took his comm out and spoke into it, "Looks like I'm gonna take a little side trip." he said plainly, as he went over to an abandoned air conditioning unit, and grabbed onto one of the metal panels. With some strain, he managed to rip it off, creating a sheet of metal that was roughly 4 feet wide, and 3 feet high. Crouching down, it would prove to be a useful barricade against the gunfire.
A small smile formed under his mouth guard as he started to run towards her location, his makeshift shield at his side. Fortunately the gaps weren't that wide, a good five or six feet at the most, and his enhanced strength made the jumps easier regardless. However it was as he reached his intended target, he began to let out a bit of yell as he made his last jump. His final jumped ended with him landing off towards the side of the rooftop, very close to the edge of the building. Bullets whizzed by where his head had previously been as he quickly ducked to avoid the newly directed gunfire. With a grunt, he began to charge. Rounds whizzed around him, some even puncturing the shield, one definitely hitting him in the shoulder. That only served to make him angrier, his eyes beginning to burn brightly as he made his way to the first unfortunate sap that got in his way.
