Nodding slightly when she heard him say, not much for error, she knew then she had to be precise in her aim. So without any hestitation she twirled around and threw the dragger directly at the lycans face, hoping that her aim had hit its mark for its temple.

The dagger struck home. The lycan stood still for a moment before crumpling to the ground, dropping the little girl. The girl ran and jumped straight into Kouchi's arms, knocking him over backwards and onto the ground. "Its alright," he said softly as she clung around his neck, her dirty black hair falling down in strands over his shoulder.
"Nice shot Takara," he said to her quietly. The survivors were starting to come out of the cave and tied up the unconscious lycans while dragging the dead ones away.

"Thanks, but thats due to all the training my father gave me." she said smiling down upon him and seeing the child hanging around his neck.."So whose your little friend here, Kouchi?"

"This here is Jadelyn. She got seperated from her mother and was trapped in the cave with the rest of the survivors." He motioned to the people. "I think this is all thats left of them."
The little girl looked up at Takara with tearstained cheeks.

Kneeling beside Kouchi, Takara smiled at the little girl and said, "Hi Jadelyn, im Takara." for some reason Takara couldnt help but stare at Jadelyn for she looked familiar and thats when it hit her..."Kouchi did you say she was seperated from her mother?"

Kouchi nodded, afraid of what Takara knew. Jadeyln looked at Takara and sniffed. "Where's my mommy?" she asked quietly.

"Oh sweetie, tell me something did your mommy have long dark hair like yours?" she softly asked as she placed a hand upon Kouchi arm for support.

The little girl nodded. Kouchi gently sat up and leaned against a tree. He didn't like where this was going.

Looking down at the ground, Takara just didnt have the heart to tell Jadelyn that her mommy had died in her arms not too long ago.."Sweetie, your....mommy is in a better place....right now." she softly said still not looking up at her, for tears had filled her eyes knowing that the news of this poor child's mother would break the girl's heart.

Tears began to well up in the girl's eyes as she realized what Takara was saying. She threw one of her arms around Takara's neck and buried her face in her shoulder. Her other arm was still around Kouchi's neck. The little girl brought the two almost cheek to cheek.

Feeling herself being pulled down, and feeling Jadelyn tears upon her shoulder, the only thing she could do was hug her and try to comfort her even though her heart was racing being so close to Kouchi like this...

Jadelyn suddenly shifted and started to cry into Takara's chest. She squeezed their necks harder, putting their cheeks together. Kouchi sighed. He was enjoying the warmth of her cheek on his, but he wished that he wasn't trying to comfort a small girl at the same time. He continued to rub her back as he glanced over at Takara.

Not sure what to do for Jadelyn seemed to have a tight grip around both her and Kouchi, as she was continuing rubbing Jadelyn's back her hand came upon Kouchi's hand as well..smiling she left her hand there waiting to see what his response would be.

Kouchi smiled as their hands met. He grasped hers gently as he completed th embrace around Jadelyn, who was starting to cry herself to sleep. "Looks like we may be here for awhile," he said to Takara quietly.

Feeling his grasped and hearing his comment, all Takara could do was smile..."Yes, it sure looks like it, I hope you dont mind...Kouchi." then she looked down upon the sleeping child within their embrace.
