Justin sighed into the phone. "I hope you're right about this, Tails." He told him. Sonic did have an amazing track record, but everyone dies at some point. Justin was still worried.

"I'm rarely wrong." Tails said, trying to be cheerful. "I'll try to get the suit there ASAP.
"Heh, this isn't so hard!" Sonic yelled, "Other then avoiding this nut's attempts to throw me off, this little race is a peice of cake, Doll!"
"Oh just you wait. It's about to get much, much more entertaining." Tails Doll said from Omega. He was probably grinning inside it.

"Alright. Thanks, Tails." Justin said, hanging up. He then turned his focus back to the race. "Let's just hope I don't need the suit...." He whispered to himself.

(Busy night roleplaying? xD I wasn't bored and stalking chu ninja )
Sonic's eyes widened. "Huh?!"
Omega suddenly sped up, nearly toasting Sonic and Metal.
"Watch it, Tails!" Metal shouted, as he and Sonic had to up their running tempo.
"For once, I have to agree with you, Metal!" Sonic called, biting his lip. This was going be more difficult then he thought.
"Holy shi-Even these binoculars can barely keep up with that speed! Justin, put on yours, you've got to see this...."
"Even for Sonic, that's fast." Rouge agreed.

Justin put on the binoculars. He was actually pretty shocked. He knew Sonic was fast, but his eyes could barely keep up with him and Metal. "Damn, that's quite a sight! And I can barely see it!" He said.

They continued the race, doing loop-the-loops, jumping over obstacles, avoiding darts and Omega's beam of death.
As Sonic was starting to pass him, Metal punched him, knocking him aside. "Oh no you don't!"
Sonic, again, managed to stay on his feet and stay running. "Okay, playtimes over buddy!" he called to Metal. "If you're gonna play dirty, so am I!" He jumped, curling into a ball and bouncing off of his double. He did all this in the same speed as their sprinting. "SAYANORA, SUCKER!"
Metal fell to the ground.
Tails' Doll's lazer hit him. Omega skidded to a stop in the air, looking back at what once was Metal Sonic. Now, it was only a heap of broken wires and metal. "Pathetic." Tails Doll commented.
Sonic slid to a stop, glancing over his shoulder at them. He grinned widely. "YES!" He raised his fist in triumph, pulling it down(as if pulling a rope).
Meanwhile, Rouge was smiling, Luna was clapping, and Knuckles was literally jumping for joy, yelling in victory.

Justin smiled widely at the victory of his friend. He was pretty glad he didn't even need to step in. Then, something occurred to him. "Hey, guys? Now that the race is over....what's stopping Doll from turning the death ray on US?" He asked.

Knuckles, obviously regaining control of himself and getting back his cool-guy attitude, nodded. "He's got a point.
"Damn...So close..." Rouge frowned grimly.
Omega's chest opened, and Tails Doll floated out. He hovered over to Metal, staring down at the bits with semi-boredom etched in his expression. "You let your guard down, and this is what happened to you." he said quietly, absolutely no pity in his voice. He sighed dully. "But....I have to keep my word." The peices of Metal Sonic flew up to Doll, floating between his raised arms, as if holding them and inch from his skin.

Justin watched Doll carefully. He didn't really know if he would attack, but he was still cautious.

"Still...." Metal's remains vanished, and Doll let his arms fall to his sides. "Your recovery can wait until later. Right now, I have to congratulate the winners." Tails Doll gazed over in their direction, as if even from this distance, he was able to see them.
"Ha, darn right!" Sonic said happily, walking over, allowing his arms to swing at his sides. "I totally showed your peice of scrap metal who's boss around here."
"Oh dear Lord, he's getting overcocky as usual. Meaning he's in even more danger then he was from the lazer." Rouge sighed, putting a hand on her hip and lowering the one holding the binoculars.

Tails Doll raised his arms, making both him and Sonic vanish. They appeared at where they had when they first came. The others ran over to greet them(er, Sonic).
"Nice idea to do that homing ability of yours. Smart move."
"Unlike you, Knucklehead, I have brains. You've been tricked into attacking me and Tails how many times now? Twice? The first time including several encounters?" Sonic grinned, indicating he was mostly joking.

Justin smiled a bit. "Great job out there, Sonic." He told his friend. It looked like Tails was right about this. Then again, Tails knew Sonic the best. Hell, the kid was the Robin to his Batman. They had a great partnership thing going.

"Hey, guys!" Tails called. He ran over, coming from a parked plane of some sort. His Tornado. "I brought your suit along, but doesn't seem you need it." He said, smiling. He glanced at Knuckles. "You haven't talked to Tails Doll alone, have you?" He asked, sounding aprehensive, raising an eyebrow.
"No....Why?" Knuckles raised both his eyebrows.
"Oh, good." Tails looked relieved.
"He's just making sure you aren't going to start beating the crap out of us again." Sonic said, grinning wider.
"Keep talking, and you'll definately recieve a beating, Sonic." Knuckles warned, cracking his neck.
"Soooo...." Rouge said, changing the subject, "Metal is gone, then?"

Justin nodded. "Looks like it. But there's still Doll to deal with, also some of us would rather not." He said, looking at Tails for a split second.
