 Eriena Emm – Gryffindor – 5th year
I've checked my salamander's gender, and she seems to be female. I have named her Jem and have taken to putting her jar next to my bed at night. The light blue flames are actually pretty soothing.
Jem seems to be doing well. I've been feeding her regularly. The last time I took her out though, she crawled on my desk and did her business on my Potions homework. I don't know how I'm going to explain this to Professor Ayamae. :/

My male salamander's name is Eclipse, since he's black. Somehow I couldn't find the crimson one... But anyways, Eclipse is calm and steady, and likes to be petted on the stomach. reminds me of a puppy! He's really sweet and does his thing, while I do mine. Thank Merlin he's not a freakazoid. ╚══════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Day One:
Salamander is a male. His coloring is red. I named him Legolas. He is sleeping regularly and from what i researched around average. He does not seem to eat much, but he seems to feed on the fire sometimes he while eat an occasional insect. He is pretty laid back and i think that might just be his personality. So far, Legolas seems just fine.

Day 1:
My salamander's name is Laitae, meaning Night's Beloved. She tends to only roam about during the night, keeping me awake lots. I've noticed that she loves moist places, so I'm tried to make her jar as homey as possible.

*Day 1:
Meiko cheerfully smiled as she nodded at the professor. She went over the jars containing the salamanders and one spotted her eye. She picked it up and found a magenta-colored salamander inside. She looked at it's tail and saw a raised bump at the beginning of its tail.
"Hmm, so you're a male... I'mma name you Flynn." Meiko spoke blissfully as she looked at Flynn's aquamarine-shaded eyes as it slithered.
SHe sits on one of the huge rocks in the forest and pulls her notebook out with her quill as she placed the jar with Flynn in it, beside her. She began to write in her journal:
"Day1 with Flynn:
I will only feed it at least once a day, and oh, Flynn's color is magenta and its eyes are aquamarine shaded. I guess I 'll pull him out of the jar for a few minutes, and then place him back again."

Day One, Part two:
Sunman woke me up last night. He was squirming in his jar so much that the jar rolled off of my night stand. It didn't break though. Today, I'm going to take him to Professor Kalle, simply because I can't seem to understand his misbehavior.
Again, I attempted to take Sunman out of his jar, but he just doesn't seem to like me. Maybe I picked a bad Salamander...
That day, Ginelle went to Professor Kalle's room, hoping to find her somewhere."Professor Kalle, I have a few questions about my Salamander..." Ginelle held up the jar and watched Sunman dart around inside of it. It was a curious thing to watch..

Pipi is still the same as yesterday. Reguarding size, colour, behaviour.
It's only been a day, and the diet hasn't kicked in, on his weight or vital.
How annoying. I won't let Pipi out of his jar until he starts behaving! I think he gets colds at night, so during the day I leave him in the sonlight.
Oh, I've decided that Pipi is a boy. Because I said so.
He's still watching me in my sleep.

day dos
Romulus is more active now because i'm feeding him once a day, he doesnt try to run away as much anymore. i have noticed that he loves grasshoppers more than anything else so i feed him 5 grasshoppers a day. he loves it when his jar is a little wet, so i have kept it like that. he enjoys dim lighting which is good.

Eclipse is a happy little salamander. He doesn't eat a lot, except at dinner. He stuffs himself at that. He likes hide and seek, so I put a jinx on him, so thats a bell when he moves, that only humans can hear. Funny too, jumps in his chair all day. Almost embarrased to ask, she started to speak. "Well, Professor... Sunman-.. Or, well, my Salamander is squirming alot and doesn't like to be touched. Is that... normal? He's eating enough, and he sleeps and seems to have an alright time in his jar, but he doesn't seem to like me.." Ginelle glanced into the jar, seeing the salamander finally calming down a bit, but still awake and alert. "Did I do something wrong?" She asked.

'Might I see him?' asked Kalle. She did not suspect anything actually wrong with the salamander, but she thought she should check to be perfectly sure.

Ginelle handed her salamander over to professor Kalle. She hoped that nothing was wrong, but she wanted to know what was going on. "Is he okay?"She asked with a bit of nervousness in her voice.

Kalle took the salamander in her hands. He did not seem to resist being held by her, so it could not be a fear of humans. She gently rolled her thumb over his stomach and along his back; but found nothing. She opened his mouth and placed her pinky on his tongue for a moment, then removed it. Finally, she wrapped her hands around his torso and held him there. She then looked up at Ginny. 'Ginny, there is absolutely nothing wrong with your salamander. He seems to be just a bit shy, and maybe he just needs to warm up to you,' she said with a reassuring smile. She placed the salamander back in the jar and handed it to Ginny. 'Is anyone else having troubles with their salamander?'

Ginelle let out a sigh of relief. She was glad nothing was wrong, but it still was a disappointment to her that her salamander was afraid of her. "I guess I'm just new to this whole magical creatures thing... Grew up in a muggle family..." She said. She studied her salamander, and thought suddenly Maybe the thing can smell fear! Her eyes went wide, and she stretched her arm out with the jar in it. She studied it, and then took it into account that he was harmless. She smiled at it, and watched it in the jar.
