demon_pachabel S a l l y S h e e p Colette frowned at the undead's condition. It certainly wasn't best at all. The Reaper tried to muster up whatever excuse she could for her worry over Rain and entering the Christmas Town, "Well, you're awfully hurt - and we're going into a joy concentrated area - I'll heal you."
Before the ghoul could try to convince her otherwise, she rang her bell for a second time, healing Rain for 7HP. It wasn't amazing, but Colette hoped it would help her. Something gave the Reaper a feeling that Christmas Town would not be easy either, it seemed like home base on the map for these joy-creatures after all.
She nodded when Barth answered Rain's question. "Which means we're probably close to the town. At least we can tackle it together though. " "You whippesnapper! Get off my lawn and take your ringing with you!" HP: 4 The Reaper didn't see any home on her way up here, so this snowman was obviously confused, or senile; but she played along anyway. "ERR. I would, but I need to walk through here!"
Colette looked at the snowman, and then at its cigar. "You sure you should be smoking?" Certainly the heat from it would bother him.
She didn't need to bring out her swords for this! The ghoul ran up and tried to slap the snowman's face, and the cigar, away. She had her best interests in mind for it, really.

Alwine didn't say a single word in greeting to Rain. It wasn't because she was cruel or didn't care. She was just trying very hard not to devolve into a slop of a sobbing snot.
So she just ran (and fell) forward and hugged Rain so tightly that if Alwine hadn't been a ghost, she might've been stabbed by some glass or a jutting bone.
"Rain!!" was all she could say for a little while as she kept on hugging the ghoul. If they had been in the forest, Alwine might've been mistaken for an over-affectionate tree... if her green skirt hadn't been ripped, the resemblance might've been uncanny.
Finally she blubbered, "You're really okay!! You waited for us!! I'm so sorry for making you wait!!!"

Since everyone knew her name already, Belladonna instead went for a customary shriek of joy when she saw the girl. Alwine was already hugging her fiercely, so Belladonna waited her turn on bouncing tippy-toes and finally got in a squeeze once Alwine had finished. The hug was not as warm as the haunt's had been for Belladonna was of the solid kind and didn't want to be stuck with glass, but she did give her fellow ghoul a very convincing smile that show how glad she was that she had not only waited for them, but was quite alright.
"I'm so glad we exchanged numbers on the train. We were all so worried about you! We thought maybe the ninja had captured you and was... Experimenting or something awful!" Those JOY ninjas were awful people, attacking innocent students on brightly colored lanes! The SHAME!!
Since she hadn't had a chance to say it before, Belladonna turned and looked down the path they were following that would undoubtedly lead them to the Christmas Town. "I do not hold high hopes for what lies ahead." Since melodramatic tended to be her style, she spoke with all the seriousness of a hardened solider going into battle. And for Belladonna it very well was such a thing. In her mind, Christmastown was full of too jolly creatures that knew nothing of what black and scary was, and since that made up the very fiber of her being, it seemed almost too awful. But she would persevere for her home town and fight her hardest.
"Well, now that you're with us we can officially be Team Krumm Car again! The team that fights ninjas!!" This last bit was added with all the enthusiasm she could muster, bouncing again to add just a little bit more excitement. While this train ride hadn't been very well, she had least made many friends! Krumm Car had turned out to be a lot of very wonderful people and Belladonna wouldn't want to fight alongside anyone else! And to further that point, a snowman attacked poor Colette! But Belladonna knew the Reaper could handle herself exceptionally well in battle, so she only threw in a customary battle cheer that consisted of 3/4ths insults to the snowman and left the remaining 1/4th as praise for Colette.

Her feet were all but numb, her arms were shivering and this Jackdamned place needed to quit getting colder! LW couldn't comprehend how the locals could deal with this cold. It was horrid and had set her teeth to chattering a little. It didn't help that the constant unexpected shifts were making her anxious. She couldn't tell when one would come. Only when she got that familiar tingling did she know. Speaking of which, LW suspected that wasn't just numbness in her feet and finger tips. Her plow through the snow came to a momentary halt as she prepared herself for a change. At least they were quick and her fur was so much warmer!
One second, she was hunched with her eyes slanted. A few more seconds and her body had shrunken and rearranged into that of the little red wolf. Really? This was getting old. She normally had no problems shifting back and forth. But when she couldn't control when it was happening? Kilo didn't know how lucky he really was right now. This type of shifting was draining. Change complete, she shook her coat almost violently and stretched while sniffing at the air. Ears perked up and she sniffed again before looking behind her.
"Reanimate things? That sounds pretty cool. And if you're a menace, I'm one of those pink elephants." Mention of them made her fur bristle. "Why do I ask?" LW tilted her head in a very canine fashion. "Because until I met you, I have never heard of a nekomata." Shrugging, her tail wagged as those ears perked up again.
"By Jack! Kilo, I think we are at the end of this path!" Could one really blame her for being excited about leaving this path? It was colder and all their fellow students seemed to have entered what her eyes distinguished to be a...town? Maybe.
Lowering herself to the snow, the she-wolf looked back at the cat. "I know you've been hesitant on accepting, but let me get us the hell out of this area quicker. Hop on and I promise not to run too fast and have you fall off." She wanted out of here like now! Hopefully Kilo agreed enough to accept her offer this once.
((LW can finally leave this area. She's off to Christmas Town with Kilometer <3 Feel free to make a post in there before LW does if I haven't gotten to it yet^^ ))

Colette rolled her eyes at the snowman's last words, muttering, "Yeah, like how to topple into pieces," before carefully grabbing the box that was leftover, taking notice to try and balance it with swords in hand. She decided to keep this one, to rub it in that snowman's face, and stuffed it in her bag.
Well, her two weapons did their job. She regretted not giving them their air sooner, probably would've saved her some pain, but she put them back in their warm storage of in her jacket and against her back.
Belladonna's high spirits were good for morale, and Colette actually smiled at her enthusiastic cheeriness. "I'm sure we'll all do great together."
Colette tried to stretch and clean off any debris, but her hand still hurt from its cigar burn. To hopefully sooth it, she put some snow on and held it there. She wasn't sure if it really was helping, but it was worth a try. The snow was good enough to sooth her hunger awhile back, so why not try and help the burn? Though it didn't feel any good when it got in her eyes.

Mandy had spent most of the journey in near silence, not feeling the need to join the chatter with everyone else. Compared to Candycane Lane and the constant foreboding feeling they had there the walk along the Mountain Path had been peaceful. They'd hardly been bothered by the creatures of the area, and those that had where not that much tougher than the trees. Nothing compared to Jingleberry. So she'd found herself quite happy to just enjoy this respite, she was sure the closer they got to their goal the harder enemies they would face.
It was this lax attitude that lead to Mandy slowly lagging behind the group, not far enough to have them out of sight but enough that she couldn't hear them all that well, nor them her. It was because of this when Barth's tent began to slip off her back she didn't bother calling out for them to slow down. Instead with a muttered curse she stopped and fiddled with it until it was secure again. She was going to give this back to the boil as soon as they reached the town, it was really troublesome to carry.
Huffing she looked up only to find them completely out of view and with a slight amount of worry she jogged to catch up. The sight that met her when she did stopped her dead in her tracks.
"Rain!" she practically squealed the name and quickly sprinted the final bit of distance to the group, a large smile on her face. "Its so good to see your alright! Well, mostly." the ghoul was obviously still hurt from the many events that had happened but she was here. This set Mandy's mind at ease myth better than some text.

Booieann Basil grinned and nodded at Jamais " That sounds peeerfect!" she dragged it out for emphases. " Oh, it will be so fun." Some pizza and when she gets home read a nice book in front of the fire she would just forget about all the cold from here in a matter of minutes. She looked at Jamais and saw her wince then Basil's eyes darted to the wings, one was injured must be from that fight. Her face saddened " A-are you okay Jamie? Your wing doesn't look so good." she glanced back at the injured wing again. Jamais smiled as Basil seemed to agree that pizza was the best idea, "Maybe some hot tea as well." She offered with a ponder, it was the best thing she could think of, aside from the cider mentioned earlier in the trip.
Her tail flickered, as she looked at her wing, it seemed the bone might've been broken but it wasn't something Jamais was worried about, "I told you they get in the way." She chuckled amused at her own ability to joke about her injuries.
"It hurts to move it, but it'll be fine." She grinned again, "I'll put something on it when we get back, or heck if we find something to splint it with while we're in town that'll work too. Nothing to waste a bell on." Giving a nod, Jamais then noticed Rain; from the corner of her eye; bouncing down towards them. There were also a lot of happy ghouls, however, since the cat demon didn't know much about the other she let those that knew her surround her.
"Looks like their friend is back." She said softly.

Rain wanted to hug them but decided that might be a little weird. Besides, where did this hugging feeling come from lately? She wondered if she had been in this place too long and the Joy was starting to get to her or if she had really become attached to them. They had been through a lot together. "All I remember is the snow ninja looking at me and then I was being swept away in the snow and dropped here. I had no idea he was capable of such a thing. I'm lucky I didn't get dropped in a lake or down a ravine."
She happily returned Tset's hug, thankful that she was able to finally get one in."I honestly don't know how long I have been up here. Long enough that I am getting a little hungry. I've gone through half my gummi bats already." Speaking of the gummi bats, she pulled them out, "Would any of you like to have some? It's not much and the cold made them harder to chew but it may help if you're hungry." She was sure she felt less hungry when she was out in the cold. Something about it seemed to slow down her hunger. Or maybe the gummi bats being so hard to chew killed any appetite she had?
She felt both relieved and guilty when Colette healed her. She was thankful for it but what if someone had needed it more? She would have to try extra hard to protect them, if she could. "I don't think it's far from here at all. I'm really curious what the town will be like."
