"Ok, I see where we will be crossing the water. It's our only choice now. RTI knows how close we are and those 'things' will follow us from the mainland. Tell everyone to hang on to something."
Jimmy then steered the transport onto an almost straight piece of land leading in the direction of the strip of water where they would cross. He sped up at once as the transport's engine strained with the fuel being force fed into it.

"I hope everyone's ready!" Jimmy yells out the window as the transport heads out over the water. With a hard jolt it sank 2 feet and looked as if it would continue down into the murky depths but at the last minute it rose up as the treads picked up speed balancing out into a smooth ride with the treads only half submerged. Jimmy steered the transport towards the designated spot to return to land.

The two creatures slowed down and came to a almost a stop and the water edge. they took chase after the transport but couldn't keep up and came turned around heading back to shore.
Zeek took a look, "Looks like they gave up the chase."

"Good. That means I can slow down when we get to the other side."
After a few more minutes the transport reached the opposite shore. With another jolt the transport made it onto land. Jimmy then slowed down to a more comfortable speed.
"That's a relief. We're really lucky the water was as thick as it was. If it was clear water we might not have made it."

theo leans against the wall of the transport. "i.... i... think i'm gonna be sick" he unbuckled his seat belt and quickly jumped up and opened the closes window and hung his head outside just as he started to blow chunks.

Zane stood and went over to him putting his hand on his back."Are you alright Theo?" He put his hand on the back of his neck and suddenly his hand cooled down to about forty degrees.

he pulled himself back in, leaning against his hand "i'll be fine." he closed his eyes then hung himself out the window again.

Coming around a bend on the path through the swamp, Jimmy says, "Not far at all. You see that pass up ahead? That's where we are going. The crash site is just on the other side of that pass. Oh and Theo, don't worry bout it. The worst is over."
