Yes, he was identified using facebook, and since he was basically screwed anyway, he turned himself in.
At least I think that's the guy you're thinking of.

The guy was apparently Australian and comforting his girlfriend who got knocked down by the crowd. I was more shocked by the fact that you can practically see up her shorts. Leads to a little more risque interpretation.
