Riley was just happy this nonsensical task was almost over with. She had been scraping the bottom of the proverbial barrel when it came to ghoulish carols, and she didn't know how long she could have lasted if she had to do this too long. She stood in front of the blob, glaring daggers as it wiggled noncommittally at her, and sung in quick, sharp undertones of impatience.
We three ghosts of Halloween are
Scaring kids who wander too far.
Trick or treating, candy eating,
Watching for the Halloween Star.
Oh. Oh. These two particular notes sounded more like punctuating sighs than their originally intended elegance.
Star of darkness, star of fright.
Star of every gruesome sight.
West winds howling, cat's a-yowling,
Let us play some tricks tonight.
She slumped slightly. She was letting this get her too worked up. At least she was getting free stuff out of it, she reasoned.

Sin was rather enjoying her little solo shows for Mr Blobby, so while her past visits to the student store had been a chore now she walked up happily. She took a deep breath and then began to croon.
"I'm dreaming of a dark Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops crackle, and children sob
To hear screaming in the night
I'm dreaming of a dark Christmas
With every Christmas spell I write
May your nights be scary and long
And may all your Christmases be dark "
She smiled and gave a little bow, the entire point of getting school supplies had almost completely left her mind.

Another day, another trip to the school store - she had made up a holiday jingle just for Mr Blobby! Clearing her throat, she started to sing, her voice unstable at first but generally becoming steady.
"Blobby the scary green blob,
Had many school supplies.
And if you ever saw him,
You'll know he's the school store.
All of the other students,
Went to sing to him.
To get school supplies,
He's awesome so we love him!"
She grinned, proud of her little song. How would Mr Blobby react though...?

Lucien had been excited ever since he had sang to Mr. Blobby the other day. So excited that he had basically pranced into the room, humming a carol tune so that he could try and remember it long enough to sing. He squeezed past other students who had been singing previously so that he too could sing to Mr. Blobby! There was something horribly additive about singing these festive songs to this festive blob.
He began to to hum louder until his hum changed into a song:
Hellma got run over by a pathling,
Walking back from her class XMAS eve.
You can say there's no such thing as karma,
But as for all us first years, we believe.
She'd been giving too much homework,
And we were glad to see her go.
But she'd left her shadow,
So she stumbled out the school into the path.
When they found her XMAS morning,
At the cross in the path.
There were hoof prints on her forehead,
And incriminating antler marks on her back.
Lucien couldn't help but giggle, just a little, before he stopped signing. Instead of giggling he should probably hope Helma didn't hear him.

(( Profile)) Alright, she was back for another round of singing and hopefully no falling on her rearend. The she-wolf crept into the store and approached Mr. Blobby. If one were to look a little closely at her face, they might notice a faint stain to her cheeks as the she-wolf blushed.
"Uh..so this didn't go so well last time." She muttered. "Hopefully you'll like this one." LW checked to make sure Austin hadn't somehow escaped her entrapment of blankets. Clearing her throat, LW sang a rendition of Carol of the Bells:
Jack! how the yells
Sweet screeching yells
All scream and wail,
"What the Jacking Hell?!"
It's that time of year
Bringing frightful fears
To Monsters and Reapers
Demons, Ghosts and the Dead

Lucien had made it to the next day without having faced a nightmare of a punishment from Hellma for running her over with a pathling. Pleased with this, he had once again found himself looking for school supplies -- surprisingly, more focused on looking for the festive blob Mr. Blobby. He had nearly forgotten he originally wanted to get school supplies from all of this and was just taking the chance to sing everything he could remember!
"Greetings Mr. Blobby," he said.
Arel the Frost Demon,
Was a school errand boy.
With a short stature and some frosty wings,
And two antlers on his head.
Arel the Frost Demon
Is a reaper so they say.
He is made of frost
And seems so lost,
But he'll find us books someday.
Lucien stopped suddenly, unable to remember the rest of the song. Those were the best two lines! Who needed more?

(Fourth Day, Profile is Alania ) Riley had a bad feeling about today.
So far, this had been a little too easy. She'd come in, sung a few bars of some strand of song that one of her kind had heard or made up at some unknown point in the past, thusly making it available to her use. And out spat a school supply. Three times she'd come here, and three times she'd been given what she needed.
Her luck was bound to run out sometime, wasn't it?
With a rather hesitant beginning, she murmured out what she -hoped- would be her final carol. Whether or not the blob agreed.. well, that was another story. Time to find out.
We're on sidewalks, we're on porches,
Dressed in costumes to scare.
Through the city we're ringing the doorbells.
Trick or treating, candy eating,
Gooey stuff in our hair,
But the most fun is shrieking out loud,
Shivery yells. Shivery yells.
That's the Halloween nitty-gritty.
Moan and Groan. Leave us alone.
Halloween's just one night a year.
She chuckled softly at the end of that one - it was silly.
Her chuckled died off when she realized she wasn't getting a school supply this time. She knew it. Storming off, she cursed everything that had ever worked to spawn the blob into being.

West hurried down the hall, eyes narrowed to slits and fists clenched at his sides. He skidded to a stop in front of Mr. Blobby and spat, "WASSA BIGGIDEA GIVIN' ME DOUBLES YA JACKIN' JACK...FACE!" He wound back and threw his duplicate school supply deep into the blob's deepest crevices. "DUNDOO IT AGAIN!"

(( Eyulra)) Day two! Again he made his way to the school store, now more comfortable in finding his way there and whatnot. So he had to sing again? Each time he wanted something? Though he longed to sigh heavily, he only felt a smirk cross his lips in amusement. No, it couldn't be that bad, even if he didn't truly know any festive songs other than the one he was gonna try to complete. Or... he could listen to the other students as they sang tunes to Mr. Blobby so he could get an idea of some. Ah.. no, he'd stick to his. "Set flames to the meats The colors so inviting Grab some marshmallows for Blobby to enjoy..." He was amused by that. It took awhile to come up with that, though it was only one short lame verse. Ah well, he was trying!
