(why is it trying to forward me to Photobucket when I hit the "Post Reply Button"? This is goddamn ANNOYING....)
(Also, the PuddleJumper isn't totaled, and neither is the Chiro. The Puddlejumper is just badly damaged, and the Chiro just has bollixed engines)
Lasten stared coldly at Rocky for a few seconds before speaking.
"Rocky, the.... Chiroptera, did you call it? anyway, the bigger ship may be a loss, but the Gate-Ship will be fixed...eventually"
He heard a series of high pitched chirps, and looked over his shoulder to see the repair 'bot scuttle back from its perch on the top of the ship as the panel it had just opened threw a dense cloud of sparks and pulverized shards of control crystals out as some capacitor overloaded. The Lantean sighed and settled his new-found helmet on top of his head and fastened the seals at his throat- He was TRYING to be the cold and emotionless mysterious defender/savior, but how could he pull off the act if his stuff was blowing up when he needed it the most? He shook his head and checked to see his helmets electronics were working properly before returning his attention to Centuarmon, just as the repair 'bot scuttled back over to the now-burning panel and used the fire extinguisher it held to put out the fire.

Logan let out a simple grumble of the idea of following a stranger with the knowledge of defeating such a creature should any trickery happen helped him ease his mind and redied his side arm and the main weapon charged on his forearm. "Alright...lets get a move on, Id like to know where the hell we are so I could go back."

The cyborg stared at Rocky with the red eye within his helmet. "...I like your attitude." Looked around him and the new strangers sharply with his expertise in hunting, he was obvious no stranger to this type of scenery with outsiders. He felt very uneasy to this area because of the abominations that crawled around, and pointed the new way to the city. "You're lucky most of the way is downhill, come along." He galloped down the hidden path covered with leaves.

"Really hopen there will be no surprises along this trip...." Todd thinks to himself as he followed after the cyborg. He began wondering if there would also be more strange creatures when he they arrived. Would there be more of this guy? Would the be gainits or tiny? "Hopefully if all goes well I wont need to use this stuff......"

"Don't get your hopes up Todd." Dimitris commented traversing the side of the trail where hidden foliage wasn't as thick. "Recalling our welcome party I'm just hoping that we aren't ravaged by a second wave of those things." His optimism was almsot shot by the time they reached a part of the forest trail where sunlight parted through the canopy.

Lasten kept his head on a swivel as they followed the cyborg, and made sure the camera in the helmet was recording everything. He had a feeling that the Erinyes wave they'd fought off was nothing more than a scouting group, despite the large numbers of attackers. He glanced at the quadrupedal cyborg again, curiosity getting the better of him.
"Excuse me, Centuarmon; the beings who attacked us...how long have they been here? thousands of years?"

Renamon had nothing much to worry about packing from the remains of the ship, she had grabbed a small bag with alot of pouches on it's sides and grabbed what seemed important, bits of equipment that tore off from the pilot helmets as well as medical junk.
Walking away from the hatch she took a last glance of what could've been an easier way out of this mess.
"I don't know if we should leave this here...but looks we don't have much of a choice." She sprinted after the others in the secret passage downhill, trying her best to stay quiet with every leap and every step.

(Guys, I am having serious problems with my laptop, the only way I can access the 'Web...the fans dead on my laptop, and it is likely overheating badly everytime I turn it on...I'm getting a replacement ASAP, but be warned; it may take a while for me to get a new one. Ren, I'm giving you permission to use Laz and Lasten as you see fit If I stop posting for a period of three days straight...that'll mean the Laptops dead, and I'm unable to access the 'Web...sorry to spring this on you, I really am.)

Best luck from us all and hurry back bud) Leading the pathway quietly away from the scene of the fight he looked around with his crimson eye, everything appearing from bright yellow, orange to dark red to his sight. BUt he paused in to the side of the pathay to signal everybody to hide on the side of it's bushes. "We've been combating these invaders for longer than we can remember, they've drawn first blood and thats all I know....but maybe." He peeked his head over the thickets of green behind them to make sure nobody was following. "I might know somebody who can help us uncover what you've found back there....this was the first time I've been there."

Renamon continued shifting overhead the forest canopy in precise leaps and bounds, watching over the others carefully as she continued along the way within the little dimension of her own camoflauge. Her sensitive ears listened for anything strange in her breif stops up above, overhearing their conversation below.

"Oh? You've never been to that place before? Then how did you get us to this path so quickly?" She questioned as they went downhill silently, prepared for anything coming their way.

Dammit. Dammit, dammit, damn it all.
Rocky, who was almost always up for a fight, really didn't feel like dealing with any more hostility. from a holster on his hip, he pulled out an ebony 44. caliber magnum pistol and spun the chamber before locking it into place. "So, do we take 'em out or what? I'd like to make this as quick as possible... Either we find civilization or we get the hell out of here. nevertheless, let's hurry this up." He glanced back at Lasten and shortly after, did a double-take. "Hey, you. you with the camera. Turn that off. Video recording devices and playback devices all emit the same high-pitched whine that can always be heard by the trained ear."

Dimitris stooped almost dead along the side of a tree looking along the road. "Are we being followed?" This thought racing through his mind as waited for the threat to pass. "Shadow scan the trail and let me know if anything is out there 40 meters." He waited as his silhouette grew opaque expanding over the area.

(laptops still holding on...for now. Kino Descrip is here... Kino) Lasten looked out at Rocky with a unseen scowl behind his helmet; Maybe with his techbase, all the cameras emitted noise....not Lantean 'Tech. He'd been getting glimpses of something on his sensors as well; phantom blips that as soon as he saw, they vanished. He would've said it was equipment damage, but he didn't think that was the case this time- it was happening every few minutes. He wondered if it was a Erinyes, but being stealthy was not something he had ever seen; they usually just charged at you, and let weight of numbers take you down. He wondered briefly if he should let loose a Kino, then cursed as he didn't find one of the patterned spheres attached to his belt; he'd grabbed everything EXCEPT one of them...He pulled his pistol out as another blip appeared on his sensors...except this one wasn't vanishing. "I would argue about how my cameras are silent, Rocky"- He flicked the safety off the gun-"But we have no time. We have company"

"So, Lasten... If I'm reading you right, we've got a few un-ordinarily stealthy tangos, and one alone heading this way, right?" He pulled back the hammer on the pistol. "I'd say that they either are trying to flank us, or they abandoned big guy there. wither way, I'd say we'd all best keep on our toes"

"I'll explain everything onces were out of he....wait." The newly aquainted Cyborg kept himsel locked closley with the group behind him, he felt anothe presence around him in the thick brush. "Damn...anybody but them." He muttered to himself as his hand surprisingly molded into firearm, a rather large one as it charged. The hunter wasn't looking forward to being the hunted anytime soon.
