I haven't done any research on what I want. I haven't been on Gaia long enough lately to look at any items that have been made.

I know the feeling Daniel. sweatdrop
I keep checking on here daily but I haven't been talking much because there hasn't been any conversation where I would normally go. It's really saddening. confused

If they are then why not give people a chance to buy the stuff?

Well that's why chance items are called chance items. They give people a "chance" to get them. But the way they manage to make so much more money is by making these chance items. And since people always want the better looking items of course they make those items harder to get from the chance items. Therefore giving Gaia a way to get more money out of people.
It's a vicious cycle that a lot of people play right into because they buy these items in bulk and then sell them off or if they open the items and get something rare so of course they put them on the MP for outrageous prices, it's retarded.

That is a terrible cycle. How does something like that end?

Well the first way in making it end would have to come from the source of course. If the head honchos of Gaia actually cared about their people they would have found a different way to regulate the MP and or regulate chance items as well.
I think the way Solia goes about their events is pretty solid. Most of the stuff you get through their events take a lot more time versus Gaia's events. However Gaia's events don't tend to last quite as long as Solia's do, which I can see why they would want to make the events wait times shorter. However if they made their events longer and made their event items better as well as any promo items and all of their gold shop updates it could help in making more of the older Gaian's more happy. IMO, of course.
If they weren't also making so much money from these RIGs/CIs or the miniscule amount now coming from the "monthly collectibles" then things probably wouldn't have gotten so out of hand. confused
I had no problem with the evolving items. I really liked those, but lately those have been loosing their flare as well. More and more attention has been put into the rare items that you get from the RIGs/CIs, which help in feeding the need for people who want pretty things to dress their avatars in. AND ESPECIALLY IF THE ITEMS ARE IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM OF SOME POP ANIME THEN THAT'S EVEN MORE OF A BIG SELLER... stare
They know where to get the people right where they want them; in their pockets!
*sigh*
I'm not sure if I made any sense or if I got too far off topic to make sense anymore, sorry. sweatdrop

Hey, that is a thought isn't it? Solia DOES sell past event items for lunar, like the halloween skins! And other past event items you can get at solvoks if you catch him at the right time, when you have enough- its there, and you buy it first XD So there event items never reach a stupidly ridiculous price- but they can get hard to grab up. And you have a point, a lot of gaians would enjoy those kinds of events more, everyone likes higher quality items.
You did make sense, gaias concentrating less on the users themselves and more on getting money. There are ways to fix the issues but they would rather not. Honestly even if it lets a few gaians get rich as heck it still balances things out more to have the shop items a little less expensive, easier to get, and to not have a hulk of items as RIGs.

Yes, I like that you can get older event items that way. As well as being able to get the skins too. Even though I still have the same skin from the first time. xD
Yeah I think that if they spent more time making quality event items over the RIGs then more people would be happy with Gaia, I know I would. I like doing the events but if they keep making crappier and crappier items for doing them then what's the point of even bothering..?

That's true, the event items just keep getting worse and worse with more and more work getting put in to it. For the Easter event gaia had? After two days of trying I just gave up and said - all this time isn't worth getting items I barely even like if at all.

That's exactly what I was thinking! I mean who the hell wants to waste so much of their time quoting an NPC...? I know I did and I was thinking to myself too, "Why the hell am I doing this!?" gonk
So I think I probably gave up around the same time. rofl Though I did really want to get the bunny ears from Solia's event. I didn't have enough time to check every two hours to play the egg/ball drop game though. I tried to play it every chance I got. Too bad they made it every two hours instead of every one hour I might have had a chance. xD; But that's how it goes!

True, they care about their users and make it a point to try their best to make it fun and enjoyable, they listen. That and working hard to think up and create wonderful items- I wish Gaia still did that for events. It's okay to not want to spend your money on gaia anymore~
