Actually, I like a lot of stuff they changed for the US version. The part I hate most is the voices changed to english, but.... Well, they changed the targeting system so it was smarter, made the gameplay faster, made it quicker to bring out the gun, had a better reaction system( like being able to get Vincent to roll or jump to recover from being knocked over, which he couldn't do in the Japanese, you just had to wait 'til he got up himself.) They also changed the roll to a dash, so that after you did that Vincent wouldn't stay in the crouching position which you'd have to stop moving completely and then press square again to get him to stand.
