At this point, he would have preferred butting heads with Harata rather than this kindness and understanding, of how close and tenderly she stood next to him. Born of conflict and action, now that neither of them provided an easy avenue for his frustrations, his energies were turned inwards on himself. He closed his eyes once again, shaking his head slowly, trying again to make the right decision, the wise choice, the one the Overseer was supposed to choose. All he was accomplishing was giving himself a right-awful migraine and a stomach ache.
"It will do me nothing, it would help no one if I hide now, not when everything is still a blur. I see no help in blocking out the small amount I have recovered." Again he could not meet her eyes, and he resisted the wish to rest against her and sleep. "How can you help me? I desire to remember."

 (( Hur hur, when I read Lorika's post I thought 'She's going to bring him into a dark room and rape him so he remembers'
And I wonder if he'd rather butt heads with Harata, or hang out with Bapp again biggrin ))

Angelique wiped the sweat off her forehead. Everything seemed to go perfectly up to now. The Acolytes were working hard, and the feast was almost half way done. "Great job you guys!" she exclaimed as she stirred the soup they were going to serve. She stopped stiring and she smiled. "Perfect..." she said. "Keep this up... I'll be back shortly," she said and left the kitchen, heading back to the Main Gathering Hall.

Be good... Lorika tried her best to resist the tears that threatened, but couldn't quite manage it. The Overseer she had known had never resisted her pampering, but had always gone about the business with a kind of superior aloofness a businessman might have while a beggar shone his shoes for a tuppence. She felt this changed Overseer's appreciation, and it made a deep part of her swell like a sapling suddenly bursting into a fully grown tree after years of dormancy.
"Well..." she began, smiling despite the salt burning her eyes "I'm afraid I have no idea what to do about your memory as of yet. We will need some time to think about that. For now, perhaps you would permit me to make you comfortable?"
She turned away from him with reluctance and called out. "Hello! Are you young ones still out there?"
Her question seemed to provoke a short debate outside the curtain. After a few moments, a frightened young girl poked her face through to them, eyes wide.
The High Priestess beamed at her. "Please could you fetch our Lord some fresh robes, and perhaps one of your friends could run to the kitchen and prepare a sticky rice dish -" she glanced back at the Overseer "Do you know if you're still fond of sticky rice, my Lord? Perhaps some sweet rice pudding with honey...?"
...and you will be lonesome.

(( Well wtf else would the Overseer like to eat? He doesnt seem like a vegetarian to me. And he would hardly indulge in cannibalism by devouring seafood such as prawns... so I played it safe and went with rice dishes, very popular in Japan as we all know~ 8D; ))

(( I bet he'd eat prawns. Sea plankton! Clams are filter feeders ... mmm tasty. Also, I bet as a demi-god, food was one of his last problems. Unless he had to feed Gino?
And wow, I'm slow today. You are making me think too much, and making my character evolve in leaps and bounds. ))
