The Incubation Facility [Open to select few](next group p29)

[Perilas_Coleman]

Perilas blinked down at the first little girl who entered. She was.... young. Very young. Younger than the typical group of kids that came through here. He glanced at his clipboards. Oh yeah, this was that special kid... got the egg that he knew absolutely nothing about. Well, he'd been told what it was, but he hadn't heard of the dragon before. He hadn't been able to find much on it, either...

The next kid was more like the usual ones. Older and crazy. Well, okay. All of the kids were crazy, of that Peri was sure.

"Alright." The man spoke up. "No touching anything. No running. No wandering off. Follow me."

He led the way over to an incubator where what appeared to be a huge walnut sat, surrounded by leaves. "This is Mellifee's egg... It's supposed to be a vegetal dragon and... other than that, not much is known about it, other than it needs to be pollenated for part of it's powers..."

Peri glanced at girl and mother. "Any questions? Not that I could guarantee that I'd know the answer with this dragon..." He seemed a bit embarassed that he didn't know everything about this dragon, but it wasn't one that was found very often.  

[Ebony Dragon]

Mellifee completely absorbed herself contempling at her egg. Finally she was meeting it! She wasn't sure what she expected to see it, but it sure looked great. All brown. She wondered if they'd let her go closer, she wanted to talk to it, although it was n egg only.

Ebony, watched the egg too. Interesting, so here was the dragon. Mysterious or not, that shouldn't be a problem, she could deal with dragons. What concerned her was to having to educate a child. And sending her to school and such, that were things that she wasn't familiar with.

"Err... I don't have questions about the dragon, but I'd like to know a bit more about classes. And also, I had been told this egg was going to hatch soon so... does that mean Mellifee will have to attend them earlier?"

Perilas nodded. "It would be best if she did. My classes go more by the dragonet's age than the child's, seeing how the classes are directed more to the dragon."

The group moved on to the next incubator, where a blueish-grey egg sat in the middle of a flame. "This is Damaris' blue dragon egg. Any questions?" He looked at the skink girl.

Damaris stared at her egg with so much enthusiasm that her mouth hung open and all these ideas came into her head.

"How come that one's in leaves an' mine's in a fire?" she said, scratching her head. "How's it supposed to hatch that way?"

Peri grinned at the girl. "Because their different types of eggs. That egg was a plant-type dragon while your dragon lives in the desert. Blue dragon eggs have to be kept warmer like a desert would be. Some eggs have to be kept in water and some in ice. It just depends on the dragon type."

Fleur tried his best to keep himself from wrapping up in his own tail for comfort as he timidly stepped into the building. He was not entirely certain why he was here, but Stevie had mentioned something about seeing his "egg" today - did this mean he had received a dragon of his very own? He knew the other children at D-Corp had dragons, but he had to admit he was pessimistic that he would receive one as well; after all, Revon and Del seemed to be much more special than himself - Del could swim, and Revon could fly! What made him special?

A quick sniff told Fleur exactly what, and he dove into his bag for his perfume to reapply it. He had not reapplied the now orange-scented perfume since he woke that morning, and it was far overdue. He only wished Stevie had accompanied him inside, but she expressed little interest in the mannerisms and knowledge of dragons, preferring to stick to machines and robotics she actually knew about.  

[Turner Herrick]

Turner, with a firm allergy to perfume, immediantly started to sneeze, eyes watering at the overpowering citrus scent, as she entered the building, quiet, pretty Ai'shern at her side. The boy gave her a vaguely concerned look, before blinking his golden eyes at Fleur, who seemed to be the source of the scent. Shrugging, he glanced back at Turner, who grinned a bit shakily, then eagerly lef the room, leaving the basilisk to his own devices. Feathers ruffling a bit, Ai'shern stepped farther in, raising his brows slightly as he looked for the eggs and an adult.

"Hi..." His tone was rather absent-minded and soft as he belatedly acknowledged Fleur.

Peri looked up as his nose was attacked by a sudden barrage of orange scent. A glance about the room brought Fleur to his attention. Ah, a skunk. Well, oranges were definately better than what a skunk usually smelled like...

The man recognized the woman to enter next, though not the kid with her. There had been a different kid with her when he'd run into her at the pool. Still a bit embarassed over that whole ordeal, Peri ducked his head to look at the clipboard he was holding.

"Okay, a few rules. No running. Don't touch anything. Stay together." With that, he started off to the first incubator. "This is Fleur's silver dragon egg." The egg was packed in snow, though the top of it could be seen. "Any questions?"  

[Dr. Stevie Schlotkin]

Fleur squeaked and waved timidly to Ai'shern, having not noticed him enter. "H-Hi..." He looked back up and reluctantly followed Peri to the the first incubator, staring blankly at it. He had to admit he was shocked that he truly was getting a dragon after all, but...it really did not look like much though he had no idea what he expected in the first place. "Wh-Why is it in snow?" he timidly asked, hoping it wasn't a dumb question. "A-Aren't eggs supposed to be kept warm?"

"Some eggs, yes. But some eggs, like silver, white, and frost dragons' eggs need to be incubated in snow. Some others need things like moderate temperatures or to be in water. It just depends on the type of dragon."

The man waved the group along to another incubator. "And this is Ai'shern's amphitere." He pointed to the egg underneith some moistened leaves. "Any questions?" He looked to Ai'.  

[Indubitably]

"What will it look like, sir?" Ai'shern's golden eyes were wide as he stared at the egg, which could barely be seen under the leaves. Blue was one of his least favorite colors, but what did it matter? It was going to be a dragon! Did it eat meat? Could it turn things to stone like he could? "What sort of abilities will it have...? Are there other amphiteres?"

"Amphiteres are feathered dragons. They're usually very vivid in color since they're from the rainforest." Peri smiled at the boy. "Amphiteres have excellent eyesight and can breathe fire. There are several others with amphiteres, though only one has hatched so far."

[Kanth]

Tiil'xhin walked in with the young D-corp child by his side, letting out a large yawn. So this was the egg tour he was supposed to come to? How droll.

Azoc, however, was completely enthralled as she stood beside him, claws pressed against each other as she glanced around, curious. She had grown quite a bit taller, but still looked rather much like a tomboy, much to Tiil's disdain.

At least he hadn't gotten the rubber bands back out again, thanks to Kanth yelling at him quite loudly (enough for the whole household to hear).

And now they were here! She had no idea what dragon she was getting, but Lian's dragon instantly came to mind; she couldn't wait.
