Kimiko drew her sword in a flash, charging across the surface of the water toward her opponent. 'He threw those so fast, there's no way that I keep clones stable with him taking them out so quickly, I just have to attack him directly!' she kicked off the surface of the water, flicking her sword in a downwards arc.

'?!' Harima's eyes widened slightly. 'The way she hold's her sword, she's skilled...' his hands signs dashed through the signals, he himself having somewhat of a specialty at the Kawarimi, yet even so, despite the fact she had to close the distance between them, he still felt the wind from as her strike strike nearly made contact.
Kimiko's sword cut the man clean through twice before it became apparent she'd been fooled, her eyes widened as the man's figure fell into water. 'A substitution!' her senses alert her sword whirled about in her grip as she turned on dime, Harima's attempt to appear from behind failing miserably. With a sudden masterful stroke that seemed to near eviscerate his shoulder, Kimiko gave her foe a wound to match her own, before his substitution activated again, and he avoided her fourth strike.
Harima's eyes were wide again, his senses suddenly alert. 'Damn, I underestimated her. If it came to speed alone she wouldn't be able to come close to me, but her skill with a blade-' suddenly the girl whipped about yet again, the cold fire in her eyes shocking him. For just a moment, she seemed to the very image of Sanako. For a just a moment, he understood why they had called this girl's mother and teacher "The broken lotus."

Kimiko's eyes dilated slightly as she clasped the back of her sword briefly with two fingers, the steel seeming to ring before in a flare of flashing metal, the girl unleashed a harrowing series of attacks. Her Morning training with her mother had not been for nothing, though even she wasn't aware of it fully, her skill with a blade was comparable to her rival's skill with illusions.
Harima felt the white hot pain of the attacks his smirk actually widening and the blood from his wounds flicked into the water, he himself still in middle of jumping back in his inept attempt to avoid the attacks. 'Unbelievable, I'm actually no match for her in close quarters...I have to put some distance between us." his chakra suddenly coursed into the Kunai he clasped in his hand, his arm suddenly whipping it up in front of him as though to guard, only for his true purpose to be revealed as the light caught the weapons metallic surface. With a suddenly surge of chakra, the light magnified, a blinding flash suddenly illuminating the scene.

Kawarimi no Jutsu (Replacement Technique)
This is a technique that usually confuses the attacker. The user quickly projects themselves with another nearby object such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach, leaving the opponent open to a counter-attack.

Touei (Reflection)
The user fills the blade of any metallic weapon/object they have in their hand and catches some nearby source of light and directs it at the opponents eyes. The chakra amplifies the light caught and expelled causing for a blinding flash of light.

Kimiko's eyes were still shut, reeling from the light which had engulfed the entire pond. She thrashed about with her sword defensively as she backed away, alarm briefly robbing her of her senses. She couldn't see...how was she supposed to fight what she couldn't see?! Her ears pricked up, trying to seek out her opponent through sound alone...

Yet she could hear nothing, her heart beat fast now as she resumed her sword stance, her eyes still watering as she fought her recover her sight. Where was he? her Grip on her sword tightened. Where-"
Suddenly the roar of rushing water behind her caught her attention, the very sound of it causing her fear to rise.
Harima was now rising from the water some ways behind her, the water suddenly rushing up all around him as he formed a long series of hand signs. It was time to stop laying around and go in for the kill...well, not the KILL, but certainly the victory. It was her own bad luck fighting him on the water, where he was the most powerful, had he not had a water source to use his jutsu, she may very well have bested him with her skill with a blade. The water was swirling in thick powerful streams into his hand, his chakra molding it into a powerful votrex. grasping it tightly with his chakra filled finger tips, his eyes zeroed in on the temporarily blinded girl.
He reared back, throwing his entire body weight into this single toss as he fired the attack like it had been shot out of cannon. The ball of highly concentrated tempest like water tore the air...directly towards Kimiko...
Kimiko's midsection exploded with pain as she was suddenly driven back as though she been shot dead center with a particularly ill tempered bull. the water waved on either side of her as she skid back over the water's surface, her body whipping about like a rag doll. She at last came to a stop with a mighty splash, all the air driven from her by the beastly attack, her eye sight still not returned to her... Kimiko was floating face up unmoving in the water now, her body racked pain, her shoulder still bleeding, and her eye sight even now barely able to make out vague shapes as it slowly recovered from Harima's Touei. This...was not good.

Kimiko lay there in the water for a second longer, the pain of the battering she'd just recieved causing her body to tremble briefly. 'What a dirty trick...' Kimiko thought absently 'Blinding me like that...but I guess we are Ninja...' she slowly started to rise above the water's surface again, her chakra suspending her upon it once more. 'There's no way I'll lose just because of this though...no way this guy's going to beat me like that...' her hand still grasped her sword tightly as she suddenly clasp it in her teeth, freeing her hands up as she stood tentatively on both her feet, her chakra starting to surround her again.
Harima was looking impressed against his will. That was his most powerful Jutsu, few below Chuunin rank could take a hit like that a LIVE let alone get back up to fight. Hell, many of the Chuunin he knew would be out. it had hit her full on, yet she still seemed ready for more. Still," he reached behind him as he retrieved his Kunai. She didn't even really look like her sight had fully returned, and even if it had she wasn't looking in any shape to continue for much longer. A few well aimed Kunai and he could call it a day. 'I have to admit though, she's definitely one tough little thing...I've never encountered a Genin even close to this level. She did damn well...'
Kimiko's hand met as they formed hand signs, smoke enveloping her as the sword clenched in her teeth prevented her from speaking. Harima nearly smiled as the smoke enveloped her. "This again Miss Kimiko? I thought we'd established that just wouldn't cut it!" his hands flickered as Kunai soared forth sinking into the four figures within the smoke just as they had before... yet...

Harima's eyes suddenly shot wide as the four figure's he'd hit dispersed, only for the smoke to clear, and reveal 7 more. 'W-what?!' he reached back for his Kunai but suddenly unbridled chakra surged from the seven collected Kimiko's the merely falling to her knee's upon the water's surface, katana still clenched in her teeth as her clones, who were not so handicapped by his earlier jutsu, let their chakra all converge within them. They made the hand signs as one, they struck the pose as one, and Harima Saijo could have almost laughed himself silly as the true terror of this girl's incredible chakra was laid bare before him, in a far greater extent than it had when she'd dispatched his companions... so...this was the full extent of her power...
"GRAND FIREBALL JUTSU!!!" Six voices bellowed in unison.

Sanako held a hand over her eyes calmly as the entire pond seemed to engulfed in fire. 6 blazing Grand fireballs converged to become a roaring inferno as they completely obscured Harima from view, Sanako's smile upon her daughter. A final victory pulled by using almost all her chakra in a single attack, risky, but it seemed to have paid off this time. at least in this one on one fight. In the field Kimiko wouldn't be able to pull something like that...but, she supposed she'd let it slide in this case. As the fire cleared as Kimiko's clones dispersed, Sanako began to walk out onto the water without delay to fish out the two combatants. The fight was over... but Kimiko was in no condition to rescue Harima, who if he wasn't well done, was most certainly unconscious, in fact... Sanako looked over to see her daughter still on her knee's with her sword clutched in her mouth. Yes...she might have to help both of them back to shore...
Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shadow Doppelganger Technique)
Description: Unlike the normal Bunshin no Jutsu (Art of the Doppelganger), this Jutsu does not create illusions, but real bodies of the user. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone. This could be very dangerous if the user is low on chakra or makes too many clones: like with Tajū Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Multiple Shadow Clone Technique). Kage Bunshin can't be detected by Byakugan. This is because the clones are real bodies with real chakra circulatory systems, identical to the user. Though Uchiha members claim they could tell the difference, the real one also cannot be detected by the Sharingan. However, they can keep track of the original's movements. Because the clones are basically real, they can perform Jutsu and real damage on their target, and can take some hits themselves, being even able to bleed, although they'll still disappear when enough damage has been done, which is usually after one blow or fatal attack. Since the clones are exact replicas of the user, one can use them in combination with many other techniques.

Xenon was setting foot amidst the familiar training grounds when an explosion rocked the scene. his senses sky rocketed as adrenaline flowed, and both he and two followers darted their gaze towards the direction it had come from. Medusa looked intrigued, Mokutan looked outright alarmed, and Xenon fell into a cold intensity. Like a shot he took off, leaping into the trees as he quickly covered the distance to the pond, Medusa close behind, and Mokutan taking wing to the skies. He landed just in time to see see Sanako walking out out unto the water, the ponds frothing surface rising with steam while at the edge of the pond nearest him, Kimiko knelt upon the waters surface. So she could walk on water now...but that explosion...had that been...her?!
He adjusted his glasses slightly as he lept down from the tree branches, Medusa again following suit, apparently recognizing the Kimiko from the hospital.
"What-" she began to ask, but Xenon interjected.
"Kimiko-san...what on earth was that?"
Kimiko didn't hear him at first, having been watching her mother whisk Harima out of the water, he definitely looked burned, but he didn't look too seriously injured...she was glad she'd had the sense to hold her clones back a little. That...that really was amazing. Everything she had in one single attack...
"Kimiko!"
Her attention seemed to snap back to earth as she heard Maboroshi's voice. She turned looking surprised "Mabo-" then she jumped slightly to see him jumping to her side. -roshi?" How long had he been here?
He knelt down looking somewhat reprimanding. "Honestly...you get all up in arms about me going into the maze and then do this. You really could learn to practice what you preach Kimiko-san" his hand began to glow green. "Hold still."
Kimiko began to retort, but Maboroshi didn't seem interested in listening to her. He merely placed the glowing hand on her shoulder, the pain immediately being soothed. "Maboroshi..." she blinked before turning her gaze away. "What are you doing here anyway? And for your information, it was my Mom's idea to have me spar all those Chuunin, not mine."

Xenon continued to heal the girl's wounds, his face seeming entirely lax the whole while. "This is my training ground as well you know. I was coming here to...spar, in a word." he moved his hand over her mid section, where the damage seemed the most extensive, though it was difficult to tell from the surface, Xenon could read from the way Kimiko was holding it. He was shocked when his chakra started repairing it, only to note that it was a serious injury indeed. What on earth had hit her?
He then went on "And I suppose your mother did strike me as a person to take training seriously...I trust you won?"
Kimiko looked suddenly defiant. "As a matter of fact I did Maboroshi, I beat all five of them, and three of them tried to take me on at once!" she was only further annoyed by his small grin. She was starting to feel better though, Maboroshi sure was good at this whole healing thing. Now she thought about it... her eyes widened slightly. This was the first time she'd ever seen him use it on someone besides himself.
Medusa was standing on the water's surface herself not far away from the pair, looking curiously at the green chakra. It had healing powers...much akin to the power of the slugs...interesting...
Sanako threw Harima over her shoulder, and started to head over to help Kimiko, when she stopped short, surprised to see other then little Xen by her side...and was that...medical chakra? Sanako gave a slight smirk. The boy never ceased to amaze... how long had he been watching? She shrugged slightly. At any rate, she could entrust Kimiko's recovery to her teammate for now. she jumped off the surface of the water, and headed toward the hospital.

Kimiko coughed slightly, looking away somewhat embarrassed as she stood straight, Maboroshi's glowing hand traveling just an inch from her as it healed her. She cast about for a conversation topic that might avert the awkward moment, but couldn't find one. She saw Mokutan flying over head watching them...but...then her gaze found the girl. She frowned for a moment, having just noticed her, then looked surprised as she recognized her. It was the snake from earlier that day, the one that Maboroshi had summoned...only...well, it no longer took the form a little girl, but rather one their own age.
"What...but...aren't you..." she pointed somewhat shocked at Medusa. "...Usa-chan?"
Medusa sweat slightly, her falsely cheerful facade covering her true intent. "Oh, yes, that's right, this is my human form." she spread her arms slightly. "Do you like it?"
Kimiko looked bewildered "Human form...you mean...that's not a henge?"
Xenon picked up on the explanation. "No, it's apparently an ancient technique which allows animals to take human form. Medusa here is one of the first to have mastered it in quite some time it seems.
Kimiko stared with some measure of amazement. "Really!? That's...wow..." then she frowned "Wait a minute," she glared suspiciously at Maboroshi "She's your servant now or something right Maboroshi? You're not making her do anything perverted are you!?"
Xenon pushed up his glasses with his free hand. "Kimiko-san really, if I was as notorious a pervert as you seem to think I am, wouldn't I take advantage of this situation?"
Kimiko flushed before regaining her fury, Maboroshi continuing to heal her as she threatened him. "Not unless you wanted a fireball to the face."
"Oh?" Xenon gave a slight smirk "You've enough chakra for that then?"
Kimiko deflated slightly "Okay fine, point made..." she looked away again. "Still, are you?"
"Of course not," he explained calmly "besides, she's not even my servant...that's very nearly what we've come here to settle."

Kimiko looked about to inquire about the statement so he elaborated. "I'm here to challenge Medusa to a fight, and if I win, then she'll be subservient to me whenever I should summon her. That is the deal I intend to make with all my summons."
Kimiko seemed impressed, lifting an eyebrow at her rival. "You mean you're going to beat your summons one on one before you make them listen to you?" she went slightly starry eyed for a moment "Wow! See now that's how it should be done Maboroshi! That's how cool villains do it!" before she suddenly coughed again and looked away "Not that YOU'RE cool or anything...or that villains are cool at all...you know what I mean."
Xenon nodded, still smiling "Of course I do, I'm a cool villain, I think you made it quite clear."
"That's not what I said! You can't go to being a villain now! I forbid it! You're going to be a regular hero someday!"
Xenon shook his head looking amused. "Whatever you say Kimiko-san."
Medusa's eyes were traveling back and forth between the two her sharp eyes dilating slightly. This girl...she was trying to turn this interesting boy into a...she shivered slightly, Hero? Unforgivable! Unthinkable! It made Medusa want to bite something on the spot! Though she refrained, she wasn't in snake form anymore after all, biting things wasn't quite as deadly now, she still broke her pleasant facade for a moment. She wouldn't allow this boy to become weak and boring like so many others...a small hint of the black chakra flicked before her mouth. She had an idea...

Xenon's hand ceased it's glow and he took a step back. "There, you should be able to move normally now, though you should still get some rest." He adjusted his glasses yet again, the light from the sun flashing of their surface. "I could heal you completely of course, but I really will be needing as much of my chakra as I can spare."
Kimiko rolled her arm slightly, jumping up and down on the water's surface. He was right, she could at least move normally. She could take it from here. "Thanks Maboroshi." she replied casually "Any way, I've got to go catch up with my mom..." she took a few steps toward shore before looking at Medusa "Don't pick on Usa-chan just because you want her to obey you okay?"
Xenon gave a small smile. "I shall endeavor to accommodate your wish."
Kimiko rolled her eyes "Would a straight answer kill you or something? Honestly, sometimes your so straightforward and others...oh never mind. I'll catch you later Maboroshi." she then jumped off after her Mother, Xenon putting his hands in his pockets as he turned to Medusa.
"You did well, do you often hide your venom so easily?"
Medusa's smirk shown through. "It's a talent. I realize that you wouldn't want your potential servants seeming quite so..." she gave a hissing chuckle "Ku ku ku, troublesome."
Xenon fell a bit more serious. "True enough...that brings us to the original reason we came."
Medusa's face became almost serpent like as her smirk widened sharply "Indeed... it's a battle for supremacy then... but I was thinking." she fell slowly into a fighting stance. "How about we raise the stakes a little...summoner."
Xenon's eyebrow raised slightly "Raised the stakes? What, you want to eat Mokutan if you win?"
Ignoring the "I heard that, not funny!" from overhead, Medusa answered with malicious glee "I propose that whoever wins, must serve the other, meaning I if you win, I would be more then just an obedient summon, but completely subservient to your will forever...and if I win..." the black chakra tendril waved before her mouth. "Well...I think you can grasp the concept."
Xenon was looking surprised, but also slightly...intrigued. "Why would you propose this? What would gain from having me as a servant?"
Medusa chuckled "Aside from the pleasure of having a human slave? Well, I suppose I would also be able to come to this world whenever I pleased, and stay for however long I wished. But mostly it's having a human slave... a toy for me to play with."
Xenon seemed unreadable now "I see...you and I are not so different...though at the same time." he smirked "Worlds apart." Medusa frowned suddenly, looking confused. "I'll accept your challenge though. It doesn't really matter." his eyes became a tinge colder "There's no way that you can defeat me."
Medusa shivered slightly, her smirk returning "Yes...that's the look, very well then summoner..." she stepped her back foot, lunging forward. "SHOW ME WHAT YOU CAN DO!"

Xenon's eyes were now almost completely obscured by the glare off his lenses, Medusa's charge through the air, to him, seeming to pass in slow motion. His face twisted into a small smirk. "Hm." The next instant a flurry of steel cut the air, the minute whistles of Xenon's Senbon breaking the air.

Medusa's eyes went wide, her face suddenly splitting into shock. Her body...it felt numb. her charge slowly stumbled to a halt, until she collapsed to her knee's upon the water's surface. for a moment, a moment...she couldn't think as to what happened... then...she looked down at herself. He body was littered with needles. Sharp needles which had been sunk into her in the blink of an eye...but... her gaze turned back up to Xenon, who was looking at her with a relax countenance.
"I told you." Xenon remarked with a casual attitude. He was standing with his hands at his sides now, yet where there weren't before three needles gleamed between the fingers of each hand, his eyes still hidden by the glare of the sun from above, indeed now he almost seemed to be angling his head to give this effect. "You see you're not even in my league, the reason I said I needed chakra, is because I also intend to recruit the next level of summoning beyond yourself...you were actually just a warm up." he flicked his wrists, the needles seeming to return up his sleeves as he now placed one hand in his pocket, and the other up to readjust his glasses. "Still, you're ability to transform, your attitude...and now your gamble. You've intrigued me..." he smiled slightly as she stared at him, her body still wavering. "You'll be losing consciousness soon, and I doubt you can speak, but know that I'll hold you to this little wager of yours, I always wondered what having a servant is like...Mokutan is more like a...what would Kimiko-san call it?"
Mokutan suddenly swooped down from above, landing on his master's shoulder. "A Side kick?"
Xenon gave a slight chuckle "Good enough." he looked back at Medusa. "At any rate...you're life belongs to me now...don't forget that."
Medusa's face twisted into an oddly satisfied smirk. Forget it? This had been her hope all along. She had no illusions about her own power...but with a powerful master... Yes, this had gone exactly as she'd wished. "Of course...Xenon...sama..." there was an explosion of smoke, and the snake girl vanished into thin air as she lost consciousness.
