I can't see Sanzo being bothered with underwear, for whatever reason. I bet he thinks it's just something unneccessary or something. But then I think... good god, man, those jeans! The chafing! gonk But Sanzo's so stubborn, he'd have to find out the hard way.

Yes indeed, it's that deep understanding that brings them closer to each other always.

Before I say my initial idea, I want to say that before I fell in love with the pairing of SanzoxHakkai that I was NOT a Yaoi/Shounen-ai fan. I despised these BoyxBoy pairings, simply because I couldn't understand the point of fans pairing up characters which I thought were straight. I was close minded and ignorant, I used to loathe Yaoi and these pairings.

Anyway.. About two years ago I had stumbled upon Saiyuki, I saw the Requiem movie, uugh spelling, at an Anime convention. I really liked it, it was a good movie and thought the characters were amazing. A couple of weeks later Sanji-mun told me about Saiyuki again, that's when I remembered I had seen the movie.. I decided to buy the HK subs to check it out.

Instantly, I adored Hakkai, who still is my favorite character in Saiyuki. Sanji-mun ended up liking Sanzo best. It was on the same day that we took the Saiyuki test, to see which characters we were most like, oddly enough my way of thinking matched me with Sanzo and Sanji-mun's nice personality was matched with Hakkai's. This is when we decided we were going to RP them, Sanji-mun as Hakkai and I as Sanzo.

On the same exact day we were RPing them I started to notice something.. why does Sanzo feel so comfortable around Hakkai? Why does Sanzo feel that Hakkai is the only one he can trust? It felt odd at first, I tried to remind myself that Hakkai is a man and obviously Sanzo could have no feelings for him.. right?

Eh.. wrong. xd

We both RPed them for months, completely IC might I add because we absolutely hate OOC in any character. Hakkai and Sanzo were being drawn closer to each other each day, each moment they were together only strengthened that bond and trust between them. Sanzo found that Hakkai truly was, a demon or not, the only person he could completely place his trust on and that is something very rare for Sanzo.. in other words it's something against his natural instincts to trust someone else.

From Hakkai's view, he felt deep comfort from Sanzo. Why? Sanzo understood him, he was the one that could see through his fake smiles and understand him. Sanzo is the only one that can bring this kind of comfort to Hakkai, the only one that can understand him completely and the only one that Hakkai won't mind showing his true self to, Gono. If I spelled his name correctly -.-; Gonou? You get the idea, it's been a while since I've RPed them that's all.

Anyway, this was when it happened, when my thoughts completely opened to the world of Yaoi and Shounen-ai. It was Hakkai and Sanzo that proved to me that not all pairings were idiotic, rabid fans placing their two favorite characters together, or fans that decide two guys look great together and should be paired up.. that's completely pointless and stupid and that's the reason there are Yaoi haters, because some fans don't notice the difference between fake pairings and true pairings.

383 is a true pairing, hasn't this been enough proof? I used to be a Yaoi/Shounen-ai hater, I hated it with a passion but it was Sanzo and Hakkai that brought me out of my closed minded state.. the pairing that showed me how wrong I used to be and how possible it is to have true Yaoi pairings.

I think I've gone a bit too far with this one.. O_o; Wow.. heheh..

Seriously, you ALWAYS managed to steal my breath away everytime you reason on 383. It makes me feel so proud that lovers of this pairing are not only pasionate but also intelligent as well. I'm not saying lovers of other pairings are dumb or anything, but it's just that most of the 38 fans I met are really so full of love and insightful but at the same time, matured enough to handle criticisms from non-lovers.

I really find the trust Sanzo has for Hakkai endearing and love the fact that Hakkai finds more comfort in Sanzo than with Gojyo. The Chin Isou arc is truly a solid proof of their relationship, despite what non-lovers say. I mean, why would Hakkai ask Sanzo if he's allowed to stay on? I don't buy the crap Sanzo is the leader so it's only natural to ask. Hakkai could very well walk away, not saying a word if he knew he was guilty. But he asked instead, and I honestly believe it was to seek for Sanzo's assurance that he was not a burden. The answer, of course, was one of the best ever.

"You'll never betray me..."

That trust Sanzo has, and the comfort that goes along with it, is truly a proof of the deep connection between them. And I do not need to remind you how the two managed to somehow come up with the idea thereafter i.e. Hakkai supposedly stranggling Sanzo to death. I mean, there was no words spoken to convey that plan - it's like they were communing with their minds, you know what I'm saying. That really shows the depth of their relationship, one that could only exist with deep trust.

But then... for a quick tap o' Hakkai - it might be worth it...
