" Why thank you." she nudged him playfully, still watching him closely. in truth she couldnt say she agreed.. she knew what that man Netvor was, knew what he did.. but her dark side purred at the sight of him. just one more reason to stay away from the man. she thought grimly.

Bones studied her a moment, then leaned back. "Reks," he asked, "do you need to feed? You've used alot of energy...and I am the guilty party, aren't I?" He didn't think he'd ever see Reks again. She'd changed since last they'd met. What had happened to her while they'd been apart he wondered.

" Dont tempt me, Bones.. i cant feed yet." she was stronger when she was hungry, and she needed all the power she could get. sitting next to him on the bench she leaned back, her head tilting back as her eyes closed.. giving a tired sigh. " not to mention, you've just been through hell again."

"I just keep getting prettier and prettier, don't I?" Sticking out his tongue, he took off his artificial forearm and chucked it across the garden. "I'm surprised my eyes even healed. I think my body enjoys being broken sometimes. Even so, I don't think I'd mind feeding you. I wouldn't offer otherwise."

Smiling slightly she stood, retreaving his forarm and placeing it on the bench next to him. " I know, bones.. but i could never do that to you. when i feed.. something dark takes over, i hurt the ones i feed from." she healed them of course, eraseing their memories.. but it never made up for the pained cries as she bit into them.

Bones arched an eyebrow. "Something dark? Like what?" Rolling up his sleeve, he reattached his arm and studied her. "I guess it'd be good not to test my mental state, huh? When I was in the Asylum for awhile, this guy pulled out a syringe and it triggered a bad memory. I just snapped. He lived, but I got him a few good times with my bones."

" Im not much better." She mused, placing a hand on his thigh reassuringly. " The darkness.. i dont know. its me, but everything seems less.. important. lives, tossed away... screaming people, its sweet music." curling her other hand into a fist she sighed, leaning her head on his shoulder. " I fight it, but its part of me. i just have to make sure it stays burried when im near those i care for."

Bones wrapped an arm around Reks, giving her his comfort. "Have you always had it?" He asked curiously. His fingers played with her hair, curling the ends around his fingers.

" Yeah.. but it only really came into play when mom died.. and it was just me and uncle Quin surviving. she was revived of course, and i had father with me.. but it never went away again." she quieted for a moment, then added softly. " dad died three years ago, and mother is only in this world physically.. her heart went with her mate to the after life." that, on top of her struggles against her nature.. she was nearly breaking under the stress.

"Nobodies the same after they lose their mates," he said sadly. "My mother was always sick after my father died. It's why I started whittling. Then she got involved with Avarice...gave me to him." He shrugged. "Still love her though. I'm sorry I wasn't there for you. Sounds like alot to handle."

Im a big girl, and i've survived all this as i was ment to." smiling with a light heartedness she didnt feel, she added. " besides.. you've been through only god knows what. if anyone is in the wrong, Bones, its me. I should have found you sooner."

Laughing she stood, highly amused at what he had said. " Im a He-Man?" lifting her arms she crossed them over her chest, braceing her hip to the side as she asked with mock-offense. " So i look like a man, huh? i think i need a second oppinion then." takeing a few steps back she gave a sly wink, turning her head to the side and sniffing. " save a man, and he tells me im manly.. the nerve."

chuckling she pushed her hands through her hair, sweeping her gaze around the gardens curiously. " in that case, my fair bones, i will buy your velcro shoes." just as she started to smile a hunger pain hit her hard, driving her to her knee as she tried to breath through it. one arm around her middle she lifted the other to ward Bones off.. afraid to let him too close. " Bones.. go. ill f-find you, be safe.." turning on her heel she vanished into the foilage.. her main thought to put distance between herself and him.. and praying that some idiot human stumbled into her path.
