Anyway, it goes without saying that we have alot of extra bunks open.
Whatre we gonna do with all the bodies, and the stormies who surrendered?

We'll worry bout that problem when we get out of harms way. Plus the number of stormtroopers that surrendered are gonna be shoved into an escape pod. We're not going to risk a repeat.

Des, I carry a blaster Shotgun and a hydrospanner. COMPNOR does not scare me.
And Stormies don't surrender. Non Stormie personel was probably ejected out in escape pods, meaning we're short of those too.

Strip 'em of gear, dump the bodies overboard, and keep our guys on ice until we can give them a proper funeral.

Just put them in the trash compactor.... And then dump it before jumping to hyperspace.

Thats just wrong, even if they fought against us, I'm sure you had to ptach up a few of them Nelo before we sent them packing.
Thats a rather heartless comment for a doctor to make.

They're Stormtroopers. They know no mercy, no loyalty save to the Emperor. They would have butchered us all if given the chance.

The dead are dead. I can't magically bring them back to life. I'm gonna be handing quite a few black marks out during chapter one.
Doctor or not, there's four hundred patients needing attention. If they're nto going to make it wihtout severe corrective surgery right now, I'm sorry, but they're gonna have to do without. It's called triage, every field surgeon knows that there's a threshhold limit.
Etiher the bodies are ejected, or others will die. Trust me, the garbage bin will be full by the end of the hour.

I'm just talking about giving respect.
This is someone talking from the other side here, from a troopers perspective, abet one who betrayed the Empire and fired on his own. They were comrades were you want to see it or not.

They were comrades were you want to see it or not. You want respect? The empire press ganged me into service, ignore my advice, send me into hellish situations on ships most engineers would consider impossible to fix, and threaten me with prison if I don't kiss their asses on a regular basis. These weren't my comrades.

Respect? Have you ever seen what sort of graves appear in the wake of a battle? A pit dug from the earth filled to the brim with the fallen. Thats the sort of grave to expect.
I think the Space Equivalent would be a Xizor Cargo Container (Of which there are quite a few on board, its how we store parts and so forth) filled with the fallen and and dropped out the hangar bay by a tug.

Then you dispose of your dead comrades, before more wind up dead. There's only so much room, and I can't afford to store dead bodies where live ones may sit and get aid.
If you don't like the way I run my infirmary, that's fine. But either help shovel the pile out the door, or get out of the way and let me handle it. I won't have time for "ethics" when i'm facing life or death crisis here. Philosophers don't belong in the operating room.

The only form of naval burial I'm familiar with is on the sea in olden days. So I was unaware of how this is treated, but even a grave or off sending is some form of respect.
I'm just sentimental though.

Hell, Philosophy is for Civilians. They can have all the idealism and morals they want. Philosophy has no place where fighting is done.
