"I am not annorexic...am I?" She looked down self-conciously, "Am am too thin...?" She sweatdropped, "I never really thought about it, I thought it was just because I'm in my middle growth stage. We have three, excluding being an infant. The child stage, for fourteen years; late childhood for four and adulthood. They pass in the blink of an eye, like POOF; in between those stages we don't age. Can you imagine it? I've looked like this since about thirteen or so." She grinned, "Cute baby face."
She paused, "Hm, I guess I'll be changing soon...any day now." She shrugged, "Que sera, sera..."

"That's not what I meant. If all of your kind do this, then it's a sort of custom, I suppose. One that I think is unnecessary. And if you don't change within these... stages, then that doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that you aren't eating." As for the changing, well, Kumizu didn't say anything about that. He only imagined holding hands with Ayise one moment and then looking over and seeing some ninety-year-old woman. He doubted it would be that extreme, but still, inwardly, he cringed at the thought. I guess there's something good about never aging.

Ayise giggled, "You're weird Kumi." She said picking up on his thoughts, "Of course it wouldn't be that extreme, it's possible you could miss it, but it'd be pretty hard considering you're always checking up on me."
Ayise yawned, "I could go for as long as a year without eating as long as I snack, I'm nowhere near starving yet. You don't need to worry, there's no real need for me to do so." She sweatdropped, "But if it bothers you I will...I'm just not sure you'd want to see that..."

Kumizu just smiled. Yeah, he was always checking up on her. Come to think of it, anyone looking on from the outside would think of him as some controlling, domineering a*****e. But, considering the fact that both of their pasts were catching up to them, he felt obligated to do so. It was either that or leave, and the latter was out of the question.
Of course, when he'd asked Ayise out for a bite to eat, Kumizu was hoping they wouldn't talk this much about food. "Look, I'm sorry if it seems like I'm shoving a funnel into your mouth. I just figure that if you're hungry and we're here, you should eat more than fruit."

Ayise leaned forward, her face only centimeters, if that, away from his. Their lips were barely touching, and then a sudden draft of cold air chilled Kumizu to the bone felt as if were being drawn into her body and the room itself wavered for a split second and then she simply sat back down.
"See? All better." And it was true, at least a bit. A tinge of red had crept it's way across her normally pale skin. "Just a tiny bit of your life enrgy, that's all there really is to it, I didn't think you'd like it if you saw me feed off of Ezekiel." And if she was particularily careless from another person's point of view it would have looked like more than a simple kiss.

Kumizu's body didn't react from the chill, but the sense of being pulled away from himself was a bit bigger than that. Yes, it felt a bit creepy, but at the same time... not really a bad thing. If Ayise did this every time they kissed, why hadn't he felt it before?
As for the actual loss of life energy, it didn't bother Kumizu. Water was his energy, it was the only reason he'd lived so long, and immersion in a pool would bring back anything he lost, at the pool's expense. Deciding not to mention how it felt good and bad, Kumizu simply said, "It's only a little bit, and as you've said, replaceable. This is especially true for me. You shouldn't worry about it."

"Is that so...?" Ayise stared into space for a moment, "It's not something I particularily enjoy. If I'm not careful I could kill the person I feed from." She shifted her eyes a bit, "It kinda tasted like blueberries to me..."
She frowned a bit, "I suppose I won't grow anymore if I don't eat regularly. Okay, I'll try to take better care of myself." She smiled, "And when I change I'll become unbelievably beautiful, like my mother."

Blueberries...? "If that's the case, all you need to do then is be careful. I'll tell you if it starts bothering me."
Talk of blueberries just led to more talk of food, something Kumizu wasn't interested in. At least at the moment; after all, he hadn't brought Ayise here because he was going to eat. "Once again, I don't want to force you to eat if you don't need to. That's all I'm saying. As for changing..." Kumizu stood and slipped into the booth, sitting next to her. "...you already are unbelievably beautiful." He kissed her again, not worrying about whatever consequences to his life there would be.

Ayise wrapped her arms around his back and leaned into the kiss, "People are staring..." She mumbled, sweatdropping. For someone so relaxed about most things he was incredibly posessive and protective of her and her general well-being. "You don't have to worry about me, I'll be okay, no matter what."
"Speaking of which, what's wrong? Your aura is restless, so I know you've got something to say or there's something bothering you."

"Let them. They might learn something." Kumizu could still tell that Ayise felt awkward, so he didn't push it. He leaned back and let her speak. Of course, he didn't like where the conversation was going. "I'm still going to worry about you, I always do. And I'm sure you're always worried about me. But there isn't anything wrong."
That was Kumizu's only lame attempt to reassure Ayise. "I'm just..." It was hard to simply put to words together. "I'm afraid..."

"What are you afraid of?" Ayise frowned, she was having a weird bout of dejavu. "You're a horrible liar. If you want to change the subject you should try harder." She said in a sing-song tone.
"Quit trying to lie to me, I warned you before you got involved with me that I actually was psychic. Besides..." She paused, "I also warned you against getting involved in my mess of a life in the first place.

Kumizu sighed. "It's not you or your 'mess of a life' that worries me. I'm more worried about my mess of a life." He didn't want to go any further than that. To prove this point, he suddenly stood. "Look, I'm tired, and I really don't want to talk about these kinds of things. Come on, let's go back to the dorms." He turned and got the attention of the waitress, putting a twenty dollar bill in her hands. "Keep the change."

Ayise's expression evened out but stayed focused enough to let him know she wasn't done with this conversation...yet. Avoiding things only meant they would come back later at a more incovienient time.
She shrugged before politely thanking the waitress and following after Kumizu out of the front doors.

The doors of the cafe opened to greet the young man, a chime ringing behind him as he walked through the area. Lots of people around, he thought, looking around with his eyes staring at the different kinds of people around. I wonder..
"Sir, look out!" cried a girl employee, catching the boy by surprise. He was about to turn his head to her, but BAM! instead had his head bump against a low beam, causing some of the other customers to stare. The girl winced, then called out: "Are you alright?" Ryuu stepped back a bit and shook his head, then turned and waved at her, laughing cheerfully. "I'm fine, thanks!" he said, then proceeded towards the far end of the shop, careful this time not to hit anything.

Ryuu found himself a nice quiet spot by the end of the cafe, taking a nice thick book off a shelf on the wall. He took it, and only when he took his seat did he read the title of it. "The War of the Heavens" it said, and he chuckled at it, imagining what could be written in it in the most childish of ways. He was thinking about the journal his uncle said he wrote about the two kingdoms of his two cousins.. but as he flipped the page and began reading, he saw something else completely different.
"Good day, sir." came a cheerful voice, and Ryuu turned his head up from the book to greet a young lady, as she carefully placed the menu in front of him. She was carying a pad of paper, and a pen, and seemed really into her job. "What would you be having, today, sir?" Ryuu nodded with a smile and put down his book, taking the menu in its place. With a quick glance at it, he pointed to one part of the squiggly letters on the board at random.. none of those words were familiar to him. "I'll be taking some cappuccino, I guess. That'd be all." he said, smiling awkardly and putting the menu down. The waitress nodded and left for his order.
