Alihi Kaua

Distinct Genius

PostPosted: Thu Jun 04, 2009 8:15 pm

Amara frowned and waved. "Bye, Ephie~"

Alihi held the small child tightly in her arms, heading off to find some food. Left. Right. Left. Right. Leftrightleft. Each step seemed to be tiring for Alihi, the energy she had while chasing Amara around diminishing into nearly nothing. Eventually, though, she reached a stand with skewers and ordered a variety of them, getting two plastic forks and a bowl so the two of them could pick and choose the pieces they wanted.

The two sat down on a bench and began to eat, both of their minds drifting off to different places.

"Its just I know how, um... red you get at things like that in public," FD explained his apology to Nils after the dragon bard had told him he need not. "But it looks like the performance is over. What would you like to do next?" FD asked the bard.

(blah - took way too long a break from posting just to produce this =P)

Leon awoke, but he wasn't in the arena battlegrounds anymore. He could tell by the lack of bulk in his gold bag that he was indeed the first who fell. But still, Arashe wasn't some common mercenary.. he had the training and brutality of a professional, trained soldier. It chilled him to think that he almost reminded him of one of his own Captains back in Archanea.

It took a while for him to recognize where he was exactly. Upon blinking a few times and gaining focus... he finally realized he was home, inside his new living quarters all his division shared: a little outpost just inside Eyris's West District, where all the weapon forges were mainly located.

"W-was I dreamin' or somethin'? What am I doin' back 'ere?" The guardsman spoke his thoughts while pushing the covers off himself. "Some'un healed me too. Prob'ly Miss Victoria. That still don't explain why I'm 'ere.."

Victoria was in the meantime, looming over Arashe. He won the arena match because he was the second to fall, but he still fell to the man in that black armor. Leon. What a formidable knight... but a reckless one. Of course, Arashe was practically no different, being out cold like this. "Wake up." She told him. "My staff can't heal you anymore... it's done."

She didn't say it in a rude tone or anything... but she was giving orders. She was worried for him, definitely.

Concerned about Ed, Isadora took a closer step to see. Judging from her breathing, it seemed that the pain was ceasing and becoming smoother. Relief came over her, but she let out a small frown. Whatever it was, it seemed that this pain may not be gone for good. If only there was some cure for Ed to recover.

The paladin then heard some mutter from the girl. What was Ed talking? Isadora didn't know. But it seemed that the mutter was addressing to Ganon when the girl looked up to him. Concerned about Ed's health, Isadora opened her small pouch and took out her elixir. She had alway carried it for emergency.

Approaching to Ed, Isadora whispered some calm words as she tipped the bottle into Ed's mouth. She blushed the bangs and hair from Ed's face. "Don't worry, the pain is gone. All you need to do is rest."

Whatever that pain was, it must be terrible for Ed to experience. Surely Ganon may explain what happened since Ed was in no condition to talk. After all, the girl did inform the paladin that both she and Ganon knew each other well.

Arashe let out a refined cackle, his victory apparent as the dagger sunk itself into the gap in his armor. He saw the opponent fall, energy leaving the knight's body. As he made one last assault, Arashe could do little but stare in shock as the poleaxe's handle flew towards him. The impact of the shaft slamming into his stomach was enough to send him sprawling out on his back, lying in the dirt again.

"Disgusting... vermin..." He struggled to keep himself conscious, the battering he'd received so quickly taking a toll on him, air escaping his lungs with the blow to his stomach. As the opponent fell to the ground, Arashe smiled, letting out a sigh of relief. At least he'd not made a fool of himself by losing. The sun shined down into his eyes, their vision slowly fading as the crowd's cheering became louder.

Silence.

He woke up in a small, secluded room, lit by a draped window. The dim lighting made the figure above him hard to recognize, his eyes straining to make a connection while they refocused. Long, golden hair, fair skin, white robes. Chances are, it was Victoria. Only blond that could use staves, as far as he knew. He smiled up at her, bringing his hand into a thumbs-up.

"Heh, I trounced that fool in the Arena, wouldn't you say?"

… For this, a tragic journey•
… A
vision of a dying embrace•

>>>>>HERE COMES>>>>>

One might consider it an impressive feat to travel from one town to the next on foot in roughly a day’s time, but what about across the continent?

Certainly making such a long journey could not have been possible by any other being aside from one determined monster. For centuries it had slept… slept far up in the mountains of Learania; secluded from any other living creatures. It was a lonely existence, but not one as terrible as the one the nine had experienced. The Gwyllgi had slept with a hope; a hope that one day friends of old and a master who he was no longer able to be together with would awaken. The hope had been answered, and like lightning Triumph, the Gwyllgi that Evelyn used as a mount, took off to join the people he belonged with.

His disappointment was great, when he arrived at the shrine, only to find he had been too late. Their scent still lingered in the air, but… they had departed and were now far away. Hope had not left him though and with new found determination he would travel once more to meet them, no matter the obstacles in his way. But first, a small event--->

Triumph growled deeply as he walked among the broken stones that had encased the nine, the familiar scents taunting him. Even after roaming the area all he found was a pile of dust and a petrified druid. “Welcome to reality, my friends. Now here’s a spoiler for you: you will die alone! No, wait, you already did!” And with those words said, Triumph proceeded to blow on the pile of dust so that it scattered, poop on the strange druid, and run off to rejoin his friends.

<--It was many hours after this little… incident, that Triumph like the others arrived in Eyris. Of course, by now, the ones he was looking for weren’t around the festival when he got there, but he still smelled them, so he would find them without fail. It was probably a strange sight to see the lone Gwyllgi travel amongst the festival attendees without causing many problems, aside from scaring a lot of people. But how could Triumph help that, he was a monster after all, and he was on a mission.

"Your speed helped." Victoria answered. "He still managed to knock you out though. That division of Watchmen are quite... unconventional." she commented. "That big hulking giant was their leader... I was just glad he carried that other knight back after how hard you hit him. I have to say though, you both fought bravely, even if the other one was just a brute..."

Victoria stretched, contemplating. What was the feeling she had earlier? It still hadn't gone away.... "There's been a few people I haven't seen today... or rather, some I've seen briefly. Did you notice, Arashe? It worries me.. " She then paused, looking out the window. She clearly saw Triumph race by... "What was that? A Gwyllgi?..."

The dragon bard expressed that he had become drained from the festival's activities to FD, as he leaned up against him. "We could always go home to rest for a while," FD suggested to Nils.

"That sounds good to me, right about now," Nils replied, resting his eyes as he spoke.

The two lazed about in their seats for a bit before finally deciding to get up and start towards the small house they shared on the edge of Eyris near FEFGA's manor. It had only been some three or four months since they had decided to get their own place and move in together - after the St. Patrick's Day Party (and all of its incidents), but the two couldn't deny that the privacy their home provided them with was well worth the move out of FEFGA's, even if slightly distancing them the polarizing manor where the majority of their friends were.

One by one, the darts flew from Arans hand. Most of them hit the balloons that popped very loudly. It was kind of funny to see random people look over in shock, but only to realize it was just a balloon. Eventually Aran had no more darts left, but he hit most of the balloons anyways. The man at the booth gave him a medium sized wyvern plushie.
Maybe I can give this to someone.. Although I doubt Amara would like it

And just as he won that prize he nearly dropped it. Because he saw something running, quite fast near the corner of his eye. It kind of looked like one of those wolf demons they fought around Christmas. Well, it's not hurting anyone yet so I guess I don't need to chase after it.. for now

"Shhh," Ganon told his ailing friend, pulling her shirt back down and stroking her hair. "Isadora," he murmured, looking over at the azure-haired knight, "Ed needs to see a priest, or a bishop, or... or something. I'll stay here and see what I can do for her pain," he murmured, turning to sit back against the crate as he took his guitar into his claws and began to play a tune softly. His fingers plucked pure notes from the strings, notes that wrapped around and enveloped poor Ed. It was a song designed to strengthen one's willpower, which Ganon hoped would help her to overcome and suppress the pain on her own.

Through the terrible throbbing in her skull, Ed could hear a song. It was...a strange song. One calling to the mind and spirit. There were only a few who could play that sort of music, and there was one of them right in front of her, the lizardman with the eyepatch who helped settle her sorrows some time back. She couldn't remember how long back, her head was hurting too much for that...

...But the pain was fading a lot quicker, leaving behind just echoes of what once tormented her. Ed squinted at Ganon. And for some reason, she teared up. She wasn't really sure why, herself. She didn't realize that she was grateful for him being around, then and now, now that her good humor had been sapped.

Ed clung close to Ganon like he was a lifeline. She closed her eyes, trying to settle the pulses in her body, trying to stop twitching and shaking. Trying to go to sleep. She was really tired all of a sudden.

Arch-Druid Mika

Mika walked onto the premises of the festival. She smiled a bit to herself. She might have a bit of fun. She walked to the little alley where Ganon was sitting with Ed. She blinked curiously. She walked closer, looming over them for a second before she spoke. "Ed, right? What's the matter?" She wondered if these two even remembered her, or if Ed would remember her in her strange bout of pain. She thought to herself that she should probably keep her distance from the heros for now. She'd just mingle for a while... get close with...

She tapped her staff on her shoulder a little. "Do you remember me at all?" She said in a quiet, calm voice.

"I'm guessing that liquid should be able to help...with this problem."
Listening to the music from Ganon, he then looked back towards the manor, then thought, This seems like a good place, yet why would these bad feelings occur here? Why would someone want these hapy people to be unhappy?
Looking back once he heard a new voice, he looked at Mika and said, "Uhh...maybe you could help here, since she had gone into...some strange state, and it seems she is recovering, yet we are not sure."
