Nathan raised an eyebrow with a tut. "Davyn, in what world do I actually do any of that? As to your being nice... well, that's an act, so I shan't have to feel guilt when I tell you to leave me the ******** alone, will I?" He purred.

Davyn got up. "Whatever. Stay alone them. Maybe that bum you helped the other day will take you in." With that, he stormed off.

Nathan watched Davyn storm off, then smiled at the maid as she brought the food and drink together. "Yes, he's left, and don't worry: I have enough to pay, and unless you'd like his meal I'd prefer to take it away with me..."
Once that was done with, he carried his doggy bag into the taxi and set off home. He briefly considered visiting Mao, yet shook that off as a stupid notion as he left the bag in front of a homeless person wordlessly.
This Angel was going to reassure his parents that he was fine and slip off to bed. He'd deal with Davyn and Mao tomorrow...
& then he was asleep.

Because he actually worked the night before, Mao ended up getting out of work in the morning. He dragged himself home, taking two buses and the subway because of his lack of energy. Once he was home, he took a quick shower and went right to bed.

Nathan fought the impulse to run to Mao on waking, scowling his way through breakfast - which he could do since his parents had chosen to go for a ramble really early that morning - before leaving to go to work.
It was roughly eleven, he had huge bags under his eyes, and the smile was clearly fake as he helped his colleagues tidy the place for customers.
If he comes in, I'm going into the back. As for Davyn... not here yet, and I intend to cold-shoulder him as well! Nathan vowed as he wiped down a table.
His cheek itched under the plaster that had almost come off in the shower, yet he'd forced it to stay on despite being unwilling to admit why it was so important that it not be replaced...

The hours passed by rather quickly that morning. Mao slept up until around four in the afternoon. When he woke up, he took a quick shower and made something to eat. He checked his phone and found a text from Claire. Say hi to your new lover for me, and try and come by the new place I work at. I'll treat you to something nice. Attatched to the message was a picture and address of the restaurant. "Fancy," Mao said to himself as he sent a text back. I'll stop by tonight. I have the day off anyway. As for that guy, try finding him yourself 'cause he has a grudge against me now. After, he put his phone to charge and sat down to watch TV for a bit while he ate.

Nathan finally got off of work and left, yet couldn't force himself to be interested in helping anyone so he went home to lie in bed and sulk.
After an hour, however, that began to irritate him so he got dressed up and left for the nearest nightclub. He told himself he'd dance, then help homeless people on the way home, but he really intended to drink himself into a stupor...
He took up a stool at the bar and smiled as he ordered a drink.

((Random guy? Rping as Claire for a while too.)) Claire got off work shortly after Mao had come by. She and a friend decided to go out to a club for a bit. On the way there, she called up an old friend from high school. She wanted him to go with them merely so he could tease her co-worker. She liked him, but to her misfortune he was strictly attracted to guys. He met up with them at the door and they all went in together. The girls strayed onto the dance floor while the guy, Hayate Uesugi, made his way to the bar to get a drink. ((Here he be... He's in a band for the sake of the plot.))

Nathan's head turned as an attractive guy approached the bar. He smiled, nodded, then turned back to his drink. The glass was almost empty, so he waved the bartender over.
"Now before the lecture, I've been nursing this one for an hour and I had a water sometime in there, so I'm not about to become drunk and disorderly..." The Angel reminded the guy, his smile remaining both genuine and dazzling.
He'd been sat there for around two hours already, yet had only had two alcoholic drinks, the one he was about to finish merely his third.

Hayate took a brief look at the selection of drinks. He was rather upset that most of what they had were lighter drinks than he was used to. Either way he figured he couldn't get too drunk. He had to drive himself home later after all. He noticed Nathan at the bar and smile at him. Nathan looked to be rather attractive, though Hayate wondered for a bit what type of guy he was.

Nathan accepted the Malibu and Coke, paid with a grateful smile, and took a long sip before scowling. "Guess I better stop drinking before I do get the lecture..." he grumbled, voice too low for anyone other than Hayate to catch.
Briefly he glanced at the stranger, but didn't wish to be accused of being weird by staring. Not to mention that the guy probably thought he was nuts after hearing the words the Angel wasn't supposed to have spoken aloud.
He couldn't even blame the drinks...

Hayate chuckled a bit. "Don't worry about it. I get that a lot. Trust me, when I start drinking, I just can't stop." He gave Nathan a genuine smile before ordering a margarita. "I'm Hayate Uesugi by the way. I'm the lead vocalist for a local band; Breathless. Don't know if you've hear of it or not. It's okay if you haven't. I mean, most of the fans we get are high school or college girls anyway." If there's one thing Hayate was known for, it was his habit of being direct and talkative.

Nathan returned the genuine smile, relaxing without being sure why. Perhaps because this man he didn't know seemed to be far more straightforward and honest than some people...
The Angel held out his hand. "I'm Nathan, and I'm sorry to admit that I haven't heard of your band - from the sound of your voice, its easy to tell that Breathless is a decent-sounding band..."
He might have been flirting, but he wasn't lying since Hayate's voice was attractive to him, not to mention the refreshing bluntness...

"Thanks. It's nice to hear someone say that. My fans just blindly love me and my closest friends are my worst critics." Hayate looked around for a moment, then spotted Claire and the other friend on the dance floor. He pointed to them and said, "there they are. Those two never give me a break. They're the ones who yell at me if I have a little too much to drink. Especially the long haired one; Claire. She's like an older sister to me so I guess it's normal. Anyway, I'm very glad to meet you Nathan. Though I have to say I'd really like to call you something else. Nathan seems too formal of a name in my opinion."

Nathan blinked at Claire. He'd met her only once, but he felt it was the same Claire even if he couldn't quite see her from here. His mouth opened automatically to reply to Hayate. "I suppose you could try 'Nat', if that sounds better? Not that anyone calls me that much anymore, but still..."
The Angel blinked, smiled, and took a sip of his drink. "I think I've met Claire - Mao introduced us, though I've only met her once..."
