She cupped her paws around her cup, enjoying its warmth. Yeah, I tried alot of things. I suppose I just need to break down and buy a candy cookbook. I just usually am stuborn and prefer to figure it out myself. Her eyes sparkled mischeivously as she admitted that.

Asher gave up on his quick search for an excuse and scooted closer to her. "Stubborn isn't always a bad thing. And do you onyl figure out cooking for yourself or do you try to figure out everything by yourself?" The sparkle in her eyes piqued his curiousity.

A soft sigh escaped as he slid closer and she felt the warmth of his body next to hers as she shifted slightly to lean against him ever so slightly. Then she took a bite of her bagel and chewed thoughtfully before replying, " I tend to be rather self sufficent and try to solve as much as I can on my own. I believe that getting the answer isn't the most important thing. Its the journey and discoveries you make along the way"

He smiled at her before commenting, "But not everything can be discovered alone, sweetie. Until I met you, I had never thought dreams could actually come true."

Nastara's eyes widened in pleasant shock as her cheeks heated rapidly. She suddenly became very aware of her heart beat picking up pace, and acutely sensitive of all the places their body's touched. Unable to respond she dipped her head, letting her shining hair fall like a curtain between them.

Asher grinned and pushed back her hair with his paw. "Why, Lady Nastara, I do believe you are blushing again." He slid his paw back away from her and took his drink, sipping at it lightly. He couldn't drink too much at once; it was simply far too chocolately for him to consume quickly.

Offering him a soft smile she turned her face towards the rain splattered window, letting its chill cool the heat in her cheeks. She wasn't entirely sure when it had started, but Asher was certainly stealing her heart. It wasn't an altogether bad sensation, but it left her quite off balance. So many new emotions, so much she hadn't planned on experiencing. Nastara had never planned to have a significant male in her life. She'd always been told that while in most respects she was the picture of a prim and proper lady, she had an impossible stubborn streak that no man would be able to accept. She was starting to fear that perhaps this would drive even Asher away.

Following her gaze out the window, Asher peered out, "It doesn't seem like the rain is really stopping at all..." He scanned the room for a clock and failed to find one. "And I have no clue what time it is. Do you know or should I ask someone?"

Asher placed his head upon her shoulder lightly, nuzzling her softly. "Alright, so we have plenty of time, the rain may clear up before we're even finished eating! Speaking of which, are you okay with what we have or is there something else that you'd like?" He figured she would tell him if there was, but he wanted to make sure she was satisfied with their day. The rain had put a damper {{PUN!}}on his plans.

She gasped slightly, pleasently surprised that Asher was being so loving in public. I mean, sure, she'd kissed him earlier, but that sweet little nuzzle somehow seemed more intimate. She decided then to simply set aside her fears and enjoy this time, rather than worry about what might come.
"I'm having the best time of my life Asher!" She gestured out the window. Look at the flowers, see how some bow their heads and let the rain just drip off of them, while others seem to be thriving off the moisture, throwing their petals wide to catch it all. And the leaves, they become little cups for water, filling up drop by drop, before the weight is too much and they tilt, making a mini waterfall. Its gorgeous to watch!"

He stopped nuzzling her to look out the window, listening. "It is a beautiful sight, isn't it? Although I still say you're prettier than these gardens." He began wondering what she would look like out in the rain, or even in water. She hadn't gone swimming with them the other day; he imagined her hair pooled around her head in water, and then he wondered if she ever pulled her hair back... he asked. "Say, does your hair ever get in the way?"

Shifting her attention from the windows with a small chuckled. "Is water wet? Of course it gets in the way, particularly with its length. Whenever I cook I have to pull all back and pin the sides up, for sanitary reasons as well as practicality. But I know it looks pretty down, so I usually wear it down when I'm out, and my rose band keeps the worst of it out of my face......why do you ask dear?"

Shrugging, Asher replied, "I was just curious as to if you do and as to what it would look like." He tilted his head to the pet, trying to viusalize it. He realized he had never really seen the sides of her face, only when one of them brushes it back.

Nastara smiled at him. "well that is a simple enough request." Sliding her food across the table she gently reached up and unhooked the band of roses from her hair. Focusing for a moment she held both the ends together, as the stems grew together creating a coronet of sorts. Setting that down she reached both paws back to gather all her hair, brushing all of her bangs back as well, and twisting it into a high bun on the back of her head. Holding it all in place with a paw she reached for the roses, and paced them around the bun. Concentrating again, they tightened up, holding the bun in place.
Now blushing slightly she shifted to look at him, her head tilted downward as she looked to him through her lashes.
