he said looking over at her now turned fully toward her. He didnt really know though...
"and then if you need me, I'll be right next door"
he said happily and a bit excited almost like a child. He liked being around her, even if in the same house. He was happy to be there.

 Jenna smiled, she was happy that he wanted to stay. "Well i'm just making sure, you might get sick of spending so much time with me." she giggled. "Plus...i'm afraid once you're alone my dad might..." she swallowed hard. She didn't want Chance finding out one of her secrets, but now it seemed like it was all on what her dad did. "...might want to talk to you." she finished.

he said smiling and then noticed there must be something more going on. He took her hand in his and smiled at her.
"Well your dad can talk all he wants to me then"
he said and kissed her fingertips lightly.

My dad better keep his big mouth shut... she thought. Then there was a knock on the door and it opend again, her mom. "Everything's ready Chance." she smiled and then looked at Jenna noticing she was awake. "And you young lady need some more rest tonight." Jenna nodded, feeling a bit uncomfortable with her mom noticing she was up.

he said smiling and nodded his head a bit refering that he'd heard her.
"And Jenna I believe your mothers right so how about you get some sleep and dont worry your pretty lil head over nothin"
he said and kissed her forehed and got up waving to her slightly
"I'll see you in the morning"
he said to her as he left the room, he didnt know which way Nancy had said was from the room and didnt want to walk in on anyone so he pondered a bit feeling a little uneasy still though he'd been in more ackward situations, why did she not want her dad and him to talk? He really didnt know but he guessed he might find out.

Jenna watched him leave, begging to God her dad wouldn't say anything. And a few minutes later she really was asleep again."To the right." Nancy pointed to the room and opening the door for him. "And if you'd like any midnight snacks the fridge is all yours."

~Chance~ Chance smiled at her kindly.
"Why thank you, but I supose I may just need a glass of water possibly, I dont need anything at the moment but thank you I will consider it, and again lovely home"
he said and slipped into the room and left the main light off and shut the door after turning a lamp on, he had shut the door and walked over checking the room to see what they might have in there. He always seemed parinoid in a new place, maybe because of his past, but he did no matter. He'd even gotten down on his stomach and checked under everything. Then finished making barely any noise as he checked things and sat on the bed a bit hunched over his elbows on his knees and he took out a picture of him and his parents and smiled at it. He had the thought now that maybe it would be nice to find his parents...it'd been a while, as long as they hadn't forgotten about him.

Nancy headed down stairs "He seems like a nice one." she said to the dad. "You can't think bad about every boy when only one hurt her, not all of them are like that." she pulled out a glass and filling it with water. The dad got up, knowing it was his turn to talk to Chance. "I'll take him the water." he grabbed it from Nancy and she set a hand on his shoulder with a warning. "Don't scare him Randy, he didn't do anything, he just brought our baby girl home." He nodded, walking upstairs and opening the door to the guest room. "Here you go." he said handing Chance the water. "I know I should have introduced myself to you earlier, I'm Randy. But i'm getting right down to buisness Chance," he said leaning against the wall on the other side of the room. "If you hurt Jenna in any way you will never, and I repeat, NEVER see the light of day again. I won't tolorate it this time, the last one got it easy." He glared. "It's not that I don't trust you, but I trusted the last guy just as easily, but he lost it. Now all it's going to take is one tear from Jenna and i'll make sure you never see or hear from her again. Do you understand?" he folded his arms over his chest.

~Chance~ Chance had quickly slipped the picture back in his pocket, he had taken the water from him but when he started talking about Jenna, he sat the water down and looked at him. When Randy had finished his speach he nodded a bit in thought so it may have seemed.
"well, sir, I hope to in no way hurt your daughter, If I in anyway hurt her I indeed will leave, I will be broken myself if I hurt her."
he said and looked up at the man sincerely
"and what do you mean the last guy? did he hurt Jenna?"
he said almost a bit worried. He wouldnt dream of someone hurting her, the girl he was so head over heals about.

Randy sighed. "She went out to a friend's house one night when me and her mom were talking, she left a note saying she was out with her boyfriend..." he paused. "And she came back shaking so badly, uncontrolable it seemed, she had blood all over her, some cuts," Randy traced a line on the back of his leg indicating where she was cut "you can still see the light scars. We rushed her to the hospital and she passed out there and when she woke up she told us everything about how he was drinking and how she only had a little bit to drink, then he tried to rape her, and he beat her." Randy stayed quiet now, still leaning against the wall.

"Mm ok then. you can hang out with me all you like." Tasha was still sat on his back with her arms round his neck. Felix grabbed on to her hand holding onto then and smiled.

Chance shook his head, he didnt know if he could believe it. He sat down on the bed in total astonishment...how could someone do that to anyone. He hugged himself wishing he would've known before, he felt a bit bad if he'd made her uncomfortable. He was looking at the ground for a bit then looked up at Randy.
"who is he?"
was all he said almost tears in his eyes now thinking of Jenna getting hurt like that. He didnt know if it was anger or pain he was feeling at the moment, but he sure hoped his voice wasnt shaking right now.

Randy stared at Chance for a few minutes. Then said "Well son, I don't really think giving you his name would matter...we havn't seen him or heard from him since Jenna got out of the hospital. He called a few times but I was always the one to pick up, threatening to call the police for harrassment. A few more calls, alittle more threatening, and it was done." He sighed "It wasn't really that long ago either, about 2 months almost. That's why I was being an a** earlier because I didn't know if I could trust someone with my daughter like that, no offense but i'm keeping my eye on you." Randy smiled alittle to tease and then went serious.
