IceeWitch
Just a quick note (I think Adonis will put this somewhere in the Town Hall, after you all make your posts)

Graduates can:
[x] participate in events
[x] post in any subforum, including Around Hogwarts*
---limitations: obviously places that are specific to the school and the common rooms (grads can only post in common rooms the first two weeks of a term)
[x] not earn house points. Ever.
[x] teach

and it's some others things, but that's the general idea
Grads can teach just to clarify.

I have an Idea, i can make floorplans if you need them or want them I am an Interior Design Major. I can also sketch rooms and such I will work on something to give an example and put it in my signature if you want to use anything for the RA's or Common Area's of the Graduates Guilds.

Visiting: Ok, we'll keep the part about being able to visit other RAs. Just make sure you send an owl before visiting. That ok?

Aging: Maybe we could let people choose an age between 18 and 25 when they graduate. Then age one year per term, so for example at the beginning of the second term they'd be between 19 and 26. However, we then still have the issue of people getting really old eventually. And what if some people just want to RP as one age, and not really get old?
Master list: Who should make and keep track of this? All that would need to be done is make a list of grads, and each term add the new grads and increase the ages by one year. Of course you'd have to get their original age though.

Housing:
-New graduates have to live in the inn for a term, and can then choose whether to move to their RA.
-Older graduates can immediately choose whether they want to live in the inn or their RA.
-How about we make a limit for staying in the inn, say 2 or 3 terms, so that it doesn't get too crowded and the RAs don't stay empty?

Historic houses: Since we can always visit the other RAs if we want to, historical houses should go in the RAs and not in a common area.

Graveyard: How much RP is a graveyard going to get? Don't forget that we can visit other RAs. Or perhaps we should make it part of the park or something? When RPing (in RAs or park), people can always just say at the top of their post that they're in the graveyard, so it doesn't get confusing.

Park: Should the park just be an open grassy area? Or should it have other things too, like paths, flowerbeds, a pond, etc?
How many posts do you think I should reserve?

Oshenukhar:
What might be really cool is if people want to do that for their store (or inn, pub, etc). Are you able to do that? Maybe people could have a sketch of the store, either the inside or just the storefront, or maybe the storefront but through a window you can sort of see inside, to put in their first post, so others know what it looks like. It would make it more real.

[[Have to go get a shot. I'll reply to whatever I've missed when I get back. (And edit what I've just written, if needed.)]]

Visiting: That sounds good to me.

Aging & Master list: The only issue I have with this is that it's going to get confusing for whoever has to do the Master list. What if someone does, take an aging potion in the middle of the term and the person doesn't know that's keeping the list, they would get the age wrong in the list and it would get confusing. As for the people that want to stay the same age forever, I think the only way to do that in the HP world would be to either use the Elixir of Life (which was destroyed in SS/PS) or they make Horcruxes and never die (except if someone wanted to come after you and basically kill you.) and seriously, who would want to create that whole situation again? This is suppose to be a time of peace.

Housing:
-Agreed.
-Agreed.
-I was only planning to have Grads who had just graduated to stay in the Inn for 1 term but, if they want to stay longer that's fine with me, I just never though anyone would want to.

Historic Houses: Okay, then they could just r-p that they were going there.

Graveyard & Park: It may get alot actually. There are quite a few people in this guild that r-p that their parent were killed by Death Eaters. The Park should be in another thread completely (like it is now). I think the park should be a grassy area with other things like a path here and there, flowers along those paths, a pond perhaps in the middle. I think you could do this all in 1 Post. Just like Adonis does, when they open up new r-p thread. I do think you should probably reserve a 2nd post though, just in case.

Andrew:
I already have a pretty good idea about what the Inn should look like but, if your willing to work with me to do a layout then maybe we could work something out. I do think it's a good idea for the Pub (of course, Angil and I have to talk 1st about what we want to change and keep since we are going to be Co-owners) but, I do think it would be a good idea to have a visual aid. I think it depends on what everyone is going for when thy make it thread/sticky/etc.

(((I hope it makes you feel better, getting my wisdom teeth out sucked. They dislocated my jaw in the processes. So, that was no fun. I will be back later today, I have a big Doc appointment today and it may take a while.)))

Aging: I don't think we should deal with aging potions. This is getting really complicated. Which is one of the reasons I originally thought we should just get rid of the "age one year per term" thing entirely. Then people can just RP, and not worry about age. I mean, how often do people actually refer to age in RP? In the events, common rooms, classrooms, etc, there's people in all different years (and therefore ages) RPing together but nobody notices. (And technically professors/HoH too.) It's just doesn't matter. Do you get what I'm trying to say/explain?

Housing: That was what I originally thought, but Angil brought up the point of people possibly not wanting to move to the RAs so soon after they've graduated. I thought a compromise would be to let people choose if they want to move to the RA after their first term, or stay an extra term at the inn.

Park: Ok, I'll put that in somehow. In a description at the beginning most likely. I always reserve a couple extra posts just in case. You never know.

Graveyard: Ok, so does everyone vote for a separate thread?

[[The shot was actually a B12 injection. Nothing to do with my teeth, just something I have to get every 3 months.
Ouch! Dislocated jaw? How'd they do that?
Getting my wisdom teeth out sucked too because they were really badly infected (which nobody knew because they didn't hurt). So they're taking longer to heal and the antibiotics make me feel sick, but I got the stitches out today. I've had 7 doctor's appointments in the last two days and all for different things. sweatdrop ]]

Aging: I do understand what your saying but, I actually totally disagree. When will we know abut when people should start to kill of their main characters if we don't keep track of their ages? I mean, we will know when we are all eventually getting to old by seeing everyone around and such but, it just makes more sense to me to keep track of everyone's age. And I do thing that alot of people use the Year to r-p, they may not say it but, they obviously take it into account when they are making their background story for their character.

Housing:
It's fine with me, I just personally think why would they want to stay in a Inn when they could have their own home but, if they want to, like I said, it's fine with me.

Park:
Okay. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I really don't think you'll need more then two posts but, it's up to you Lyra.

Graveyard:
I think so but, we'll wait for more opinions.

{{Oh, I get those all the time. They don't bother me anymore. I thought you met for your teeth.
Yeah, they totally dislocated my jaw. The birth defect that I have allows me to be very limber and my body doesn't create enough collegian so, it's VERY easy for me to dislocate anything. I could just be walking around my house and my knee will dislocate, it actually happens all the time and it the reason I had to leave Gaia for a while. We didn't know I had the birth defect when the pulled out mine and in the middle of the surgery (mine hadn't cut through my gums yet, and they told me it was better to get them out before the did, so they had to do surgery instead of simply pulling the out) there was a loud crack and I dislocated for the first time. At first we thought it was the Dr.'s fault because, we (my mom and I) didn't know I had it but, yeah, obviously it was his fault but he didn't do it on purpose or even really by accident. Either way, we didn't know so he didn't know to be more gentle (I guess is the best word). Anyways, that's why I'm online mostly at night because, during the day, I'm running from Dr. to Dr. to get all of my different problems controlled. So, trust me, your not the only one. wink }}

Okay Avatar, let me know...
PostPosted: Fri Jun 11, 2010 8:57 pm

Aging: I think this is starting to get a lil complicated because of the "what if's" so to speak. I suggest maybe that there is a list of ages, however the person behind the persona should upkeep their age by notifying us or something. So lets say Me my age I choose is 21, but I will stay 21 unless I notify someone hey I want my age to go up or I took an aging potion or whatever, instead of giving someone a task of figuring out ages and keeping track. I mean it is the person's persona after all. But if that happens we have to put a limit on how many time you can change your age per term or year.

Housing: I pretty much agreed that people can choose if they want to stay in the inn or not...

Graveyard: It fine with me if its a seperate thread...

My Scanner is missing so I can't upload any sketches but I can use sims 3 to create the rooms and the store fronts still.

Andrew:
I'll let you know.

DDA:

Aging: I think that's still to complicated. We need more opinions on this subject.

Housing: Agreed.

Graveyard: Agreed.

Aging: I don't think it's that complicated. You choose your age at the beginning, and it stays at that until you change it.
We still need more opinions. Nobody can seem to agree about this. Where's Juni, Rayne, Kitty, and the rest of them?

Graveyard: Separate thread it is. But who should make it?

Whoever is next (Juni?) needs to reserve their post in the Town Hall thread.
PostPosted: Sat Jun 12, 2010 7:54 am

Aging: We need the Mods, for sure.

Graveyard: I'd like to, it was my idea. If that's okay with everyone. If everyone sends me who they want in the Graveyard I can make the thread. (The people you want in the Graveyard should be in your House but, you can give suggestions about other Houses? Does that sound good or no?) Then, like the Park, I could make several posts, 1 being an intro, 2, 3, 4, and 5 being Graves. Unless, everyone thinks it would be better to keep everyone together. Which I personally like better. Oh, and say if they died but, it wasn't in, for example, Godric's Hollow, they could still be in the Graveyard. Like Fred for example, he died at Hogwarts but, he can be buried here. I just noticed all my examples before were of people that did die there.

Yes, Jun or DDA needs to make a post in the Town Hall, as Lyra said.

Ok so everything is pretty much agreed on cept for Aging correct???

Graveyards: I think it should all be together, and maybe whatever house they were in it be in the house color or a symbol maybe to differenciate. Also I think it shouldn't matter who is in the Graveyard because they died somewhere else you know.

Sorry I forgot to ask bout the order in the Town Hall, but I made the reserved post by meh...

As far as aging goes, let's not make this too stringent or complicated, it's for fun after all.

With that said, I do believe that Lyra's latest suggestion (they choose their age, and then at the end of a term if they want to change it they can) is the best solution.
I honestly don't think that this subforum will need to pin point an exact aging potion or something because it's not going to be that busy, besides I don't want this subforum to cause confusion in the guild (with the aging and stuff).
