Vermillion took a small portion of the salad onto the plate of sandwiches; "Well you make such delicious food, i can't get enough of it, and always find new ways to surprise me." Vermillion spread a little of the fruit paste onto a turkey sandwich before taking a bite. He savored the bite for a long moment before swallowing and looking at Anabel. "Although I have a surprise of my own that I hope you like."

"I'm sure you have many surprises for me today... I am just hoping I can keep up with them... " she giggled as she ate one of the small triangular sandwiches.

"This surprise has me the most worried though, it can change everything in an instant, but I'm hoping it brings you great comfort to see it." Vermillion finished eating setting his empty plates and bowl close to the basket for Anabel to put away to her liking.

"But Vermillion..." Anabel mumbled as she began cleaning up, "I... can't see." she plainly stated while looking quite glum.

Vermillion reached over and caught both Anabel's hands; "There is more then just seeing with your eyes, you have fallen back on your other senses that are not hindered, your touch, smell, hearing, and taste. They have become your eyes that have been darkened; and from what I have seen you do in your house it makes me wonder at times with the ease you move about it." Vermillion squeezed her hands a bit more before letting them go; "My surprise you can tell with ease, by smell, touch, hearing, and well I wouldn't recommend tasting. The point is you dwell on not being able to see, but with the ease of a practiced hand you put dishes away in the basket as if your eyes worked.

She sighed, "Well, You said you wanted me to see it... and I can't... But knowing that my other senses will make up for what you want to show brings me comfort..." Anabel said as she laced her fingers with his, "Could... We stay here a bit longer? Or are we on a tight schedule?"

Vermillion smiled using his thumbs to rub her hands; "We can stay here as long as you wish, today is your day to relax and do whatever you want, and if you wish to stay we stay. The only thing I ask is that before it gets dark I show you my surprise. I think it would be better if done in the daylight."

Vermillion smiled; "We have plenty of time Anabel, relax, why did you want to stay longer, do you think they'll come home?" Vermillion moved over to sit beside her and taking her arm he extended it out to point at the sun. "See, plenty of time, its just past the 2 o'clock mark..." He brought her hand back down and before letting go he gave it a light kiss on the top of her palm.

She took a deep breath and let it out, as well as all the stress that seemed to accumulate from the middle of nowhere, "I'm sorry I seem so rushed... It's just..." Anabel blushed and looked away from Vermillion, "Sometimes... I want to rush because I hope it will slow my heart down... You know....?"

Vermillion was silent for a minute, he scooted a bit closer, and looking in a different direction he hovered his hand over hers for a moment before just letting it rest on top of hers. "You've a spot in mine as well."

She nodded and sighed softly, enjoying the silence of the forest.

Kaosti teleported onto the cobblestone yard and fell to his knees, breathing heavily. He was barely able to stand, so he lowered himself to the ground and laid his head on the cool stone. the sun was high in the sky by now, and burned on his back, but he didn't have the energy to move.
