XRedSamuraiX 123colt Well first i started with SM then Necrons now orks but i have a really good feeling about them. (I slaughtered redd's grey knights yesturday with 2 rokkit luanchas) Eck, well first off Colt, you had 5 Rokkit launchas not 2. Also, we beat you...you did not slaughter me, we beat you. Although you got that squad...that was only half of Dart and I's small army. Besides you have godly luck. Watch out for this kid. stare sure, in that one sqaud that i killed you with (pathetic) i had one rokkit laucha in it and another one came from the other squad. also i set the record for the closest ever coming to beat you guys (if my dumb people wouldn't of failed that morale test i would've ran behind the ruin and then killed Dart's bolters... hopefully)

Dryfolius Hehe... I have terrible luck.. i dont see why i persist with playing board games, even white wolf... Wait i know why!! Becuase i can make snide remarkes about certain races, that i can never beat!! For say, necrons? hehe, but hey, mind fillin me in on something about the orks? Yes, I am the king of bad luck unfortuantely. The Orks you ask? Well, lets just say this..with your Tau your going to have the time of your life, untill they get up close. A standard issue Ork (Slugga, Choppa) gets 2 attacks for being orks, +1 for duel wielding, and +1 if they charge. Also, if they charge they get the power of waaaagh and with a passed Leadership, they all double their initiative for the first round of the combat. Nastly little devils even for my Grey Knights and with your tau well... And for your Word Bearers, they'll be giving your "close-up" army quite a run for their money in close-combat. All this at only 9 points a model...can get annoying. However, they do have some bad points including a 2 Balistic Skill and a 6+ armour save. Thats just basics however, any specific questions? Are you going up against orks soon or something, or just asking for the pleasure of knowing.

Heh, no offense Colt but I don't quite think you know how pathetic it sounds bragging about being the closest ones to ever beat Dart and I...considering no ones beaten us yet, and we have played quite a few games together.
Besides, even the fallen Grey Knights and Space Marines would be picked up,and hospitilised (if even that was neccassary) to perfection.

earlier today i charged Dart's squad with like 5 guys (somewhere around there, a low number) and got 20 attacks. that was a close game. (and red that was sort of going our way more then dart's)

Mainly for pleasure of knowing, see what i intend to do, is hit them with the kroot before the hit me, and pick them off with something long range. before they hit the kroot. then retreat a little, then wait for them to come back. But, you do got to love ordance blasts.

They all contridict eachother...? Anyway, to be honest colt it was more luck from there...if Dart got lucky, it was his game, if we got lucky it was ours. All though both the games I played with you were pathetic shows and I do not look up to them as "Highlights" However, not to put you down but even if we would have won, after the battle your Orks and my Grey Knights would have turned on eachother whilst by then the back-up Grey Knights that were supposed to come would finally arrive and help my remaining ones finish you off. Then we'd help the Tempest marines back to health. Sorry colt, but it wouldn't happen any other way. wink

Yes, against Orks vehicle mounted Rail Rifles would be your saving Grace. Those things would whack whole squads of Orks easily...it's not even fair, I don't understand why they don't scatter. However, your kroot definately aren't going to hold Orks off long, and problably will just be a sacrifice of points, even at 7 points your going to need quite a few of them to take any orks with you. Pulse Rifles would be great too, along with stealth suits and burst cannons. Put your elites on those, don't be an idiot and bring the maximum amount of Crisis Suits you can...they're AP weapons are pointless here. Unfortuantely, you may have to watch out for his bikes, and killer kans are annoying. Eh, and also more bad news...they're Big Shootas (AP5 Heavy bolters, burst cannons at 24") And Rokkit Launchers (S:8 Ap3) are both assualt for some reason. It's extremely annoying though. Luckily with a 2 balistic skill they won't be hitting alot (unless of course your fighting colt.)

Those things would whack whole squads of Orks easily...it's not even fair, I don't understand why they don't scatter. However, your kroot definately aren't going to hold Orks off long, and problably will just be a sacrifice of points, even at 7 points your going to need quite a few of them to take any orks with you. Thats it. i think, i need to think that over tho. but hey, so far, i think i will need more fireworriors, becuase im going to need them the most for my plan to work. they will probably have lost of troops... but here is one quesion, before i go on any further. Do they have fearless?

Do they have fearless? Don't worry, I wasn't calling you an idiot. Although against Orks, I'd bring more Firewarriors and less kroot if I were you. Orks however are not Fearless, but they do have a special rule that not only lets them roll if they fail a leadership, and any score equal to or less than the number of Orks, they stay anyway, they also have another chance to "mob-up" with the nearest squad (within 6" after moving towards closest squad using fall back distance.) by passing a leadership, and then they become part of that squad.

Lets see, My friend and i did a minimal troop choice of 2 for necrons versus tau, he let me use his Crisis suit for HQ, and he used his necron lord well see, for a minimal for a necron worrior team, is 10 models, and for Tau, is 6 well see, i had a gun drone in each troop. now see, this was my first battle, so i was still getting the rules down. We had no terrain, so. And it was on a small table...So any ways, he rushed me, i got my 8vx-Crissis suit out and right behind a troop of fireworrors. Knowing a troop of 6 fire worriors cant take on a troop of 10 necrons, i had already lost the game. but i had taken out 5 of his necrons in one fell blast. but then he killed 2 I was super lucky there but then after another one of my turns, i failed all rolls not hits, nothing. once it was his turn, he charged me, becuase as i said, this was a small table. He killed that troop in 3 turns. but in the 2nd turn i had positioned the Crissis suit to take out the necron lord. I took a shot at him with that plasma cannon, and wounded him once. lucky there, then during the assualt phase i moved but then...i got far enough from the troop. and just out of the range of the necron lord, to get to me in his turn. Now,He got close up with his necron worriors oon my fireworriors, And as soon as he did, i began picking shots off with my fireworriors unit into another group of Necron worriors. i killed 2 units out of it. and then, he engadged that group into combat, and killed that group off fast but. to make a short story sweet. my Crissis suit, and my first group of fireworriors survied just long enough for my hq to kill the Necron lord.. then the all the fireworriors were killed, he had lost about 3 units due to the crisis suit firing upon his second troop. but, they killed him too, there where like 7 necron worriors on him... it was so unfair... sorry for it being chopy, for im being forced to do things at my house inbetween. so... im still here tho.
