Rhys sighed. "I never thought he was after you, but... I'm not leaving you to face him alone. So be it."

Rhys removed the monocle--the damn thing kept blocking his vision, and it would be easier to see without it.

Next step was to make sure NOT to do anything Mia had taught him about swordsmanship--the glaive was a lance, and lances ate swords for breakfast. Therefore, if doing things sword-style meant getting beaten to a pulp, doing everything that was the OPPOSITE of sword-style meant winning, right? Surely there was some logic in that! So, he held his Heal staff as though it was meant only for swinging, as opposed swinging or stabbing.

Lastly, somewhere in the back of his mind, he hoped Amelia would lose more clothing before the end of the night, preferably somewhere more private. However, that had nothing to do with the matter at hand.

Siegell grinned as a burst of flame illuminated the rest of the room, and he rolled swiftly out of the way. The curtains, however, went up in flames, and those flames quickly spread to the walls. "Too bad dad's not here to see you fail!" he cackled, but the lights were still trained on him. He couldn't see well at all, but was aware of Amelia coming toward him. He swung his glaive out and stopped the point in front of her face.

"Don't hesitate," he said. "When the time comes, just act!" He dropped something at his feet and smoke exploded around him, and by the time it cleared he was gone.

Oh, and the wall was seriously on fire by that point.

"s**t!" Colm shouted! "We need water!" Colm ran to the bathroom and got buckets of water. He started telling people they needed help to get the fire out. "Someone call the fire department or something!" He yelled.

His ideas weren't really working out as he planned. Running up to Rhys he talked to him. "Hey Rhys! You think you could get anything to get the water out?!"

Amelia was still gripping her scarf as the flames came barreling out of the darkness, barely licking at Siegell's ear as he avoided them neatly. b*****d! Amelia grasped the scarf even tighter, twisting it into a rope, and opened her mouth to shout again when the tip of his glaive came right... in front... of her nose. Amelia froze, eyes widened.

It wasn't until she was totally sure he was gone that Amelia relaxed, though by this point, the fire was raging, and Amelia screamed. "Water!" she shrieked, dropping her scarf. She set off at a full run for where the refreshment table had been, tripping once over one of her discarded shoes, only to realize that the pitchers had shattered and all the drinks she had made sure were set out now were soaking deep into the carpets. "Th-The fire! Get some water!!" Amelia set off at a sprint towards the door. If they could get enough water brought in from the kitchen, or a bathroom, maybe...

But then the ethereal voice of Fefga boomed into her eardrums, and as if it never existed, the flames were put out with a strong gust of wind that sent the skirt of Amelia's dress flapping around like a curtain. She held her hands securely over sensitive areas, not daring to move them until Fefga had quieted again.

Amelia stared at the charred walls, turned her gaze to the wrecked table, and then to the book cart that Siegell had sliced cleanly in half. Without a word, she sank to her knees with a heavy breath. And here I thought this was going to be a quiet party...

"Whoo! Fire's out!" Rei cheered, running back to the lights, turning them all back to how they were before Siegell crashed the party. He leaned over to the microphone.

"Uhm, now what?"

(really, I was hoping Nils would put it out)

"Erm... oops. Can't the skeletons be used to it out?"
