Sighing, wondering how a no-memory Alek could still act like regular Alek, she looked between Alek, the blades, and the owner. "I suppose, maybe... a quick lesson?" She grabbed up some of the blades, holding them carefully as she followed after him. Trying to remember what the owner had said, she set the blades down and picked one up carefully. It looked like something humans might have made. "Okay, you get one too."

Alek grinned like some kit who had just been given a present, "Let's go then!" He looked at the targets and the grin grew wider. These things were wide and obvious. Nothing tricky about them except for the fading paint that showed the wear of weather on the wood. 'Mostly for sport and helping customers,' he noted with amusement.

Turning Alek nodded, "Alright." His fingers closed around an edge of the blade, "I think you hold it like this." Holding up the weapon he demonstrated, even moving his wrist in a throwing motion, "See? I think...it makes sense that way. Or at least it feels right."

Ashierra held the star blade gently between her fingers, copying Alek's wrist motion. Maybe? "I think that's what the owner said." Setting her bag on the ground, she put herself in front of one of the targets. Taking aim, she threw the star, ending up with it flying horizontally instead of vertically, skimming just over the top of the target. She exhaled in a huff, now determined to hit the target.

Alek grinned as he made sure to flick his wrist towards the ground. "Aww...phooey. This might not be my calling after all." He joked softly before handing another one over to Ashierra, "I'll watch?"

The tip of his tail curled up in a flicking motion. Was she going to be a fast learner, or would the stars not keep her interest long? Alek blinked, 'Either way I don't mind spending some money on new weapons.'

"We just need to practice." She said, taking the offered blade. She resumed her place, aimed, and threw. The same thing happened, the blade just scraping over the top of the target. Though she grumped a little, she was falling back into her training days. Her mind started to focus and her emotions were pushed back for better concentration. "Again." She said, holding out her hand.

"Aye." His face showed no emotion, though he was being quite observant of Ashierra. 'So she's the calm type when it comes to this?' His throat hummed with a silent purr. Definitely not how he had been in the beginning of his training days.

After a couple of minutes Alek couldn't help but to yawn. It wasn't that he was bored, rather he enjoyed watching her training like this. The night under the waterfall, however, hadn't proven to be the best time for sleep. Now his sleepiness was trying to catch back up.

The cattaur shook his head. No time for that! Alek's eyes narrowed as he focused in on the target, his fingers running over the sharp edges of a star's blade. "I'll throw." Surely, that would keep him focused. Maybe too focused, because soon enough 'forgetful' Alek was attacking the target with a decently aimed star. Not perfect, but not bad either. "Hmm~" He still had some sort of touch when it came to these things...

Flicking her ears at Alek's yawn, Ashierra didn't spare more than a glance before throwing again. She was steadily getting better at aiming, though throwing without the star tumbling was still difficult. She noticed Alek's aim get better as well, which only sharpened her competative side, making her want to practice even longer.
It wasn't until after her fingers turned pink from cuts that she felt the need to break. "I think we can continue on our walk if you're ready." She said, shaking out her hand. She hadn't quite made the center of the target, but nothing was perfected in a day.

Alek yawned in agreement as he flicked a small flame over the slight cut that ran along his palm from a careless grab. "Sure~" He grinned over at her, "Did you like those?" He asked softly before noticing that she was shaking out her hand.

"Oh!" Alek's voice came out like a harsh whisper, though it was full of concern. "Did you cut yourself from this?" He asked grabbing at Ashierra's wrist.

His eyes flicked over it. Shallow, nothing serious but still- "Do you want to try to see if there's any herbalist or healer around here?" His fingers massaged gently at the inside of Ashierra's wrist as he looked back up at her.

"Yeah, I think they-" Her answer was cut short by Alek's concern. "No, it's fine. I have... I've had worse." He cheeks pinkened warmly as her wrist was massaged. That felt very nice. Too nice. "I just need to clean it when we get back to the room." She said softly as she weakly tried to tug her hand back. She wanted to leave it in his grasp... "I'll be better holding those with practice." She threw in, feeling the need to justify the little cuts.

"If...if you say so." Alek frowned slightly before shrugging. "But if we do happen to pass by a healer or herbalist-" He chuckled, "I'll insist?" His gaze searched out the shop owner and he gave a small nod, "More practice? That means we better buy them?" He grinned, "Though I'm sure they'll be here when we come back through, Ashierra, so we can pick them up then."

"Still..." Alek's grip had loosened but by pure instinct the cattaur lifted her cut fingers to his mouth. His tongue brushed over the cuts before he quickly let go with a blush.

"Sorry!" His hands hung loosely at his sides as he looked away. "Umm...let's go?" Alek took a step ahead before looking back to Ashierra.

"Whatever." Ahierra settled for subtle resignation. If they did pass a healer... She was surprised she had been able to keep her burned hand hidden the whole morning. Maybe a healer could help with that too, so that Alek wouldn't have to know about the injury.
"Buying them might not be so bad." She managed to say right before her fingers were licked. The pink blush turned the bright red of her fur. She knew inside that it was a reactive instinct... but this was Alek. And his reaction didn't help her own. She had to counteract the feeling. "Sleaze." She said, a spark of play coming into her eyes as she went after him. Sarcasm... one of the best defenses.

Alek pouted at the name. But when he glanced back at Ashierra the only thing showing were two big orbs of teary innocence that were his eyes. "Sorry." He sniffed before walking on.

Something foggy wafted over the path. Alek sniffed. It wasn't a fog like he had first thought or even a forest fire. It smelled...really flora and stuffs. His mouth turned up into a smile. "Ah!"

Turning back to Ashierra, Alek blurted. "Do you smell that?" His hands waved in the air as he gestured to the foggy steam that was floating towards them.

Rolling her eyes, Ashierra waved her hand. "I don't think you really are. Those baby eyes won't work on me, you know. Oh..." Maybe he didn't know? She sighed to herself, perking slightly at the scent on the air. "Maybe they can figure out where your brain went while they get my hand." She snorted, following the scent and the smoke.

"Maybe." Replied Alek with a chuckle. His hands parted the fog before him as he followed the path. Alek wasn't surprised to see that it actually veered away from most of the town.

Ah, healers with their weird locations. He joked silently before spotting the low building like shack where a cauldron smoked. The scent was almost over powering and the cattaur had to cover his nose while he knocked.

"Hello? Anyone home?"

Even walking outside the smoky haze caused her eyes to sting, her nose wrinkling. She walked up to the little shack and peeked into a the window next to the door. She saw herbs hanging from the ceiling and ringing the window, lines of vases and bottles on shelves. Most of it was blocked by the smoke. She turned and cocked a brow at Alek. "Have you been to one of these before?"
