Some people get on my nerves. I understand people have different opinions, and (although, I have NO idea why) may not like Freddie or Queen over all, but WHY go to a guild, song or whatever specific to that topic and say you don't like it? I wish more people had common sense (which seems to be lacking recently).
As for the Queen products: gonk . I've looked on ebay, but can't find much, and what I can find I either have, can't afford or some other thing comes up so it's just for show.
I'm glad you want to finish your story now, Grilled Cheese! I'm getting around to mine, but right now I'm more interested in art. We're making masks, and I'm basing mine on the 'Innuendo' video. If it turns out right, I'll try to get a picture up of it.
So, for the guild, my myspace profile will soon have 'hints' (i.e. Who you want to meet: Anyone who loves Queen, and the best place to meet people is the 'Break Free' Guild on Gaia!) to get people to visit the guild. 3nodding

Underneath, I really wanted to flame him or something...but I knew that wouldn't be sporting. Not to mention I'd come off as a jerk, and give Queen fans a bad name. You're welcome!
Yeah, Queen merch is a tad hard to come by...I've been thinking about custom-making an Opera t-shirt with cafepress.com, since the ones I found were all "vintage", and insanely expensive...why is it that you pretty much have to sell your soul to the devil to get a decent piece of vintage clothing?
Haha, I can just see it:
Customer at checkout counter: Okay, I'd like to buy this vintage A Night at the Opera T-Shirt...
*cashier morphs into stereotypical Satan complete with devil horns and a cape and tail*
Cashier/Satan: MUAHAHAHAHA!!! You shall have your beloved SHIRT, mortal....but first, you must give me your SOUL for my possession!!!
Customer: ER... I'm a big Queen fan and all, but with all due respect...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!! *runs screaming out of store into the street*
*Cars smash into each other, honking profusely, and some cute poodle named Fluffy is chopped up into hamburger by a bus*
Well, at least nobody made unnecessary jokes about AIDS or Freddie's "preferences"...I hate that s**t more than anything else people say about him and Queen. I mean, in the right time and place it's funny to joke about Freddie's effeminacy or tendencies to wear spandex jumpsuits and all, but there comes a point when enough is enough. Some people just never get past the man's personal life, and it really drives me crazy sometimes.

Very true. gonk I'm not happy at the moment.... There were four Queen records (Queen, Queen II, A day at the Races and Sheer Heart Attack) on ebay for 15 dollars. Mom said 'No.'
I hate the mad dash for good Queen items. xd When you mentioned the cashier thing, I remembered that thing that Brian and Roger made for the DVD....

What? FIFTEEN DOLLARS!? For FOUR records?! And your mom vetoed it? gonk Man, that's a tragedy if there ever was one....
But wait, how much was the shipping cost? Because sometimes people sell stuff on eBay for insanely cheap prices, but go crazy with the shipping costs. So it could have been $15 for the official price, but $95 shipping, or something like that.
I've been hunting around for Queen merch as well, mostly shirts and posters. I saw this one purse that was Queen-related, but unfortunately it was the album News of the World, which I can't stand. xp

X!! ~EDIT~ Sorry about that! sweatdrop I guess I shouldn't post replies so late! stare In total, I think that it would have equaled $20 or $25. It's crazy! Man, that was a COMPLETE steal too! I was shocked when I saw the price...
I can't find much online in the Queen category other than CD's. confused I have to go a town over to look for anything. Though one time I found a Queen shirt, but so far that's all I've seen....

Y did you skip a letter in favor of Z? (Sorry, couldn't resist.)
Yeah, I stumbled across that Freddie-inspired jewelry collection a while ago. I thought it was pretty cool, even though I've never been much of a "jewelry person."
Ugh...yesterday I came across this absolute idiot. He happened to be hanging around with this group of kids I know, and I'd been asking to the group in general if they could envision Queen covering Paramore's "Misery Business." (As a joke, of course.) And the guy was all...well, I'll spare you the details, but he basically spouted some gross and insulting crap about the entire band that isn't even true. When I rolled my eyes and countered it with some truth that actually makes sense, he naturally refused to acknowledge it.
I guess I should stop wasting my time attempting to reason with these retards... xp Anyone else here been in a situation like that?

Absoltively. (I'm guessing we just go to 'A'... sweatdrop )
Yea, I thought the jewelry was cool, but expensive. My mom even said so and anything sparkly never costs to much.. hah.
I hate those type of people. I try to avoid them at all costs, but alas, those are the people who make up my town. Not just the majority, but really everyone is like that. I've had some really terrible run-ins with them, and it really is a waste of time to bother with them.
xp There is some good that comes from them though: some of the crap they shovel is just so stupid you can't help but laugh. One such situation was where I over heard a group talking about Mysterians. They began to talk about ? and seemed to actually believe he was from Mars, after that I tuned them out to keep from laughing in class.

Brain of mine is rather confused... I went over to this thread a second ago, and I saw that on one of my posts, the one where I ranted about people making stupid jokes about Freddie, the word "s**t" was censored and replaced with "s**t". I was puzzled at first, but then figured that perhaps one of the mods censored it, which is kind of odd because people cuss here sometimes and it's never been censored.
But then I came back a minute or so later, and suddenly the asterisks had disappeared and were replaced with the actual letters in the word.
o_O I don't get it. Alright, who's been altering my typed profanities? scream (Not that I mind refraining from using swear words if it's asked for, but what's up with the unexplained censoring?)
? and the Mysterians...I must admit I'd never heard of them, until I sought answers from Google, and then the almighty Wikipedia. But yes, I agree that the idiotic things people say and do can be rather funny at times. If you manage to resist the urge to strangle them for their blind stupidity. (Sorry, just had an argument with a relative and am still blowing off steam... sweatdrop )

Censors are weird on Gaia. Every now and then my messages will be censored. Then the next time they aren't.
Ah yes, the almighty Google. I wonder if there is anything that they don't have on Google.... O.o Scary thought... So far, the school years almost over and I have strangled anyone.. but the stupidity is over whelming most of the time.
It's good to blow off steam, and if it's about how the collective intelligence of our towns barely reaches the triple digits, then by all means rant. (Sorry if most of my posts don't make sense today, I just came back from a sleep over and didn't get anysleep. sweatdrop )
{Edit: I guess I might as well bold the 'C'... }

Edit--Dude, that's crazy--there are really that many stupid people where you live?
I've felt kinda like that sometimes, but mostly about the quite degenerate population of my middle school. Seriously, everywhere you turn there's some imbecilic teenage boy in too-tight jeans and a shirt for a band he's never heard of, making a profanity-ridden joke to anyone who has the bad luck of stepping within a 15 foot radius of him. Or stopping innocent girls in the halls, laughing hysterically and dragging one of his loser friends in tow, saying, "Will you go out with this kid?"....eh, I suppose I'll stop rambling now. You probably know about that stuff all too well, since you're in school too.

Egad!! I seem to be a cause of chaos for this thread. Skipping letters, forgetting to bold them... xd This should be fun to sort out.
I live in a small town, about 1100+ a few people. Wow, I've just realized that about half of my town is made up of kids. There are nearly 400 kids in my middle school which leads to about 300 kids who are idiotic in the worse sense.
I wish the guys at my school would wear tight jeans, it'd be so much better then being mooned by them. All the guys wear pants that are just plain too big for them, which is entertaining (and slightly disturbing) when their pants hit the floor, but other then that it's just wrong. sweatdrop I guess I should stop now... but the second part of that is way annoying and out of hand.

eek
Freaky...yeah, I imagine it would be a drag to have to deal with that on a regular basis. To distract myself from my irritation, I just count the days until my 18th birthday. (Only 1,351 to go! whee )

Good distraction. Hmmmmm... I can't think of anything else to put! Wait! *Goes off to count how many more days until 18th birthday--- 7 minutes later* I will be 18 in 1,252 days!! (I probably messed up somewhere... xd Math isn't my strong suit)
