A slight tightening of Jes's mouth belied her irritation. Judging by Bikou's cheeky comment and that wink of his, he wasn't fooled by her act. She could only guess how long he'd been hiding among the shadows watching Jes and Hagane interact. Perhaps it was good that he had interrupted when he did or ... Jes closed her eyes. If Bikou wasn't integral to her plans, she probably would have killed him where he stood. It wasn't the worst of secrets he could have discovered, but it was that which was closest to Jes's nonexistent heart.

She couldn't dwell on the mishap-- another presence had entered her chambers. It was Rakey. Jes thought briefly of their first meeting-- many years before in this same place. Things had certainly changed since then.

"You'll find, Rakey, that the shinigami were smart enough to bring a captain along," Jes responded coolly. "I consider you one of my strongest," In truth, Jes never considered Rakey truly under her control. Still, if she offered herself to be commanded, Jes wouldn't hesitate. "You would be of greater use in the Labyrinth. I suspect Evil will not be in the most forgiving of moods and I need someone powerful enough to keep her distracted,"

This, of course, raised the a most obvious question as to why Jes was not going to engage Evil herself. She ignored this paradox, however. "I'll send a contingent of my Court arrancar to watch the caged wolf, but he is not necessarily my priority. He may mean something to Nera and she can fight to keep him if she wishes, but he is not my target nor is he a pet I wish to keep. I trust you to fight at your discretion and with a level head," She turned to Hagane, whom she'd already ordered to engage the shinigami. "The both of you must exercise your judgment in this matter. As you might have guessed, this is part of something greater than a rescue attempt. Fight to kill or, failing that, to distract. The rest will be taken care of,"

It was as much of a dismissal as she would give. Assuming Rakey and Hagane knew their duties, she had nothing else for them, but she would answer questions if they had any.

Herieo found himself wandering aimlessly into another odd area, Pokken now sitting on is shoulder as he crept through enlarged hallways. Eventually, he'd made his way to a large open area.. Similar to a dance floor. He was surprised to find it completely empty. Seeing this as a chance to explore and such, Herieo and Pokken set off a miniature adventure with just the two of them.. Staying with the group seemed too Cliche' anyway. Why should he hang out with a buncha guys who cursed at'em and barely payed any attention to him! He could be off, finding souvenirs and eating pastries! "Oh yeah.. My shirt pocket!" Herieo reached into his right pocket smiling, as he suddenly whipped out a candy bar.. A 'SARANDPITITY BAR' to be more exact. This compressed, calorie-ridden, five pound, chunk of chewy and sticky goodness was what the boy lived for.. It could brighten any moment, whether he was alone or not! "Yeah.. Candy. It can fix anything.." As the boy spoke aloud to himself in a docile tone, he made his way towards a rather large 'Throne', self consciously turning and sitting at the throne. The human found himself getting comfortable real fast, positioning himself in a slouched pose, while unraveling the candy. Casually, he began to bite the tip of the bar while looking both ways. Pokken, on his shoulder, was on guard; With his sensory skills on at full blast, he could radar an unfamiliar source from an extremely far distance.. He'd catch them before they set foot in the area even nearing the Labyrinth; The little critter could even feel Hitsugaya after having wandered off this far. "Herieo.. I've never been here in Las Noches.. I have a feeling things'll get rough.. Ya' see.. There are these things called Arrancar and.." From that point on, the doll began to lecture at a quiet Herieo, his mouth filled with candy to halt any interruption...

[Enters from Courtyard]

With their arrival from their main drop-off point, the knights proceeded deeper and deeper into Las Noches until they were able to reach this dark and dreary place. Any normal person who entered the room would immediately feel an amalgam of intense emotions, the most dominant being fear and sorrow, tugging at their heart strings. However, these knights were not any normal person. They were not even alive to begin with, so they had no problem with the place until they, or whomever their master was, decided to scan the room. As such, the knights temporarily halted their advance and began to examine the room for anything their master deemed useful or interesting. However, the thing that they were searching for was more of a residual energy than anything else.

Jes dropped out of the shadows that coalesced in dark, inky swirls near the ceiling. Her dagger gleamed darkly as she landed on the invading knight who stood near the center of the small group. She had slit his throat before he even realized he'd been attacked. The knight went down in a noisy clatter of armor, while Jes landed lightly, coming to kneel on the chest of the corpse. Upon closer inspection, she could see-- and feel-- that these armored beings weren't human. She couldn't feel their emotions properly, nor could she sense anything beyond an odd signature they exuded. Nevertheless, whatever her victim had been, her attack had killed it. As surprising as the revelation of the knight's natures was, it made little difference to Jes. Her eyes were black as pitch with only a slight hint of red to suggest their original color. Either she was extremely hungry or extremely angry. Given the situation, it might have been both. She never forgave intruders, no matter their origin.

She rose slowly, regarding the knights around her coldly. There was no way they could have missed the raucous clash of armor grinding against the obsidian from which the floor was made. She had just killed one of their comrades, and she imagined that even if these lifeless constructs had no feelings, she at least had their puppeteer's attention.

"Get out," She said softly. Her tone was level but her words were loaded with what she left unsaid. The knights were unwelcome intruders and she would cut down every last one of them if they crossed her.

As for the shinigami who now graced her throne, she had less qualms with him than these arrogant, noisy things who dared to enter her domain. Of course, if he didn't make himself scarce in the next few minutes, things would likely get just as rough as his small companion had earlier suggested. Jes was not in a particularly forgiving mood.

(Might wanna edit your post, Jes, since the knight things are inorganic. Plus, Xeion has so far asked for us to avoid killing... Well, killing those that were alive to begin with.)

Having used Shunpo to catch up with the Knights, Jan made his way into an area of Las Noches that even he could not recognize. It had been a long time since he had last fought here, so it could have been a new addition to the complex... But for some reason, he doubted it.

Coming in behind the armor suits, Jan could feel a strong presence here, undoubtedly Hollow in origin. I don't recognize that one, but it's strong... It's not a good idea to fight now, but we'll definitely need to keep this one in our memory. Resuming his original intention of observing and investigating, Jan made no effort to hide himself from either the armored units or the Arrancar in the room... Or the foolish not-Shinigami who had wandered inside.

(Aw, really? No blood-splattering? Sad day. I'll edit. But I'm still killing one. There's no way I'm gonna let them just waltz in and out of here without regretting it. Even though they're... inorganic puppet... things...)

Yamoto followed the vizard into what seemed to be a meeting area of some kind. The shinigami captain came to a halt as he saw the brigade of knights gathered around a very strong spiritual pressure. Yamoto could see a single female arrancar in the middle of the knights. He was obviously feeling the reiatsu from the sole indiviual becvause the knights were not emitting reiatsu at all. "Extremly powerfull to the point were it suprass Temor reiatsu, she must be the primero." Yamoto had heard there had been a change in power in Las Noches, but he didn't expect to be facing the head of the arrancars anytime soon. He right hand clutched the left side of his torso were his zaigou mark was burning like a forest fire.

Yamoto would have to subdue his urge to kill any form of hollow right now because he was more interested in these Knights and the organization they were apart of.

Powchii had appeared behind Jes, his entrance made the air around him thick and stagnant. He had kept silent behind her taking in all the information he could gather, but he found it impossible to process any of the information with the sound or armor scraping against armor.

'My what's going on here?' Gekko asked his voice peaked with curiousity.

Powchii ignored his doll like he did so often and sauntered off to examine the dead body. 'She killed him so effortlessly and without hesitation.' a smile cracked over Powchii's face and was accompanied by a dry laugh, 'Best to remember this if I ever want to act foolishly around her.' he thought wiping the smile from his face replacing it with his usual cool and collective face. In a less then gentle kick he turned the body onto it's back examining it closely, nothing unusual. He turned back to Jes, "What do we do with this one?" he asked, for all he knew maybe they would dissect him and examine any oddities about him, but to him he wasn't sure so it was best to ask.

Jes didn't answer Powchii's question, though a thick rime of shadows crawled over the lifeless construct, surrounding it in a dark, inky haze. With a screeching of armor, the entire body was compacted into a mass of twisted, mutilated metal and whatever inorganic substance that comprised the knights. Follow the rather horrendous shrieking, the entire mass sank into the shadows and out of sight. Jes's Shadows could act as portals when she so wished. She'd sent the mass of twisted armor away, though only she knew its destination. It hardly mattered, though. She wasn't interested in what made these armored beings tick, so long as they could be destroyed.

She had noticed two new pressures joining her already-crowded chambers. They were much more recognizable than the knights, however. This first to arrive was a vaizard-- that much she could tell from his spiritual pressure. He seemed only interested in monitoring the situation and that suited her just fine. The second was shinigami a through and through, down to the contemptible arrogance she felt emanating from him. After so many years of reading emotions, she understood what she felt and could take a guess at his thoughts. There was a definite urge to kill and, as was so characteristic of shinigami, there was that irritating feeling of superiority. It was obvious the shinigami thought her as an opponent that would be easily defeated. Still, it was not her primary concern to set him straight. The whole of the Seireitei would learn in due time not to take her power lightly.

Despite these arrivals, Jes didn't feel the need to speak again. She had made her position quite clear. All intruders were to leave and she would brook no argument. Even if the newcomers had missed the words she had spoken, her posture and the antagonism in her gaze would be enough for them to get the message.

Minutes later, Kinsetsu entered the room, and his eyes widened significantly. The mass of unsuited armors were all laying rather dormant in this darkened room. This was not the only significant presence as he quickly noticed the menacing scowl on the ivory skinned figure with its crimson red eyes. It was a clear indication that they were not welcome, despite this he would stand by the side of the Captain and Vizard. Remaining at a distance he awaited the next wave of movement, it had potential to be quite explosive.

((Riiiight then. Sorry we're all coming to the court. But think of it this way. It'll be like one big party!! With a host that could attack at any second.))

Soujirou slowly crawled along the ground, sweating profusely. He was out of breath, and he could barely even crawl. "Ohmahgawd." He groaned as he continued his way along the ground. "If the human monsters don't kill me first, this will!" He exclaimed as he stopped crawling. He looked up, so that he could try and determine if he was at the destination.

"Huh..." He said to himself as he saw the person he was following. "I guess I'm in the right place. I don't remember those other two, or the creepy woman." He tried to push himself up, but couldn't muster the strength to do it. "Right. I guess I'll just wait here. Hey, you there!" He said as he saw someone standing near him. They were both pretty far away from the action, which was a good thing. "Do you know where we are, or who those people are?" He asked.

((My character's asking Kinsetsu/Aurilien. Just saying.))

(quick post to move this part along)

Hearing the panting grow louder and louder, he looked back to see the imitation shinigami crawling, desperately attempting to control his breathing. With effort he managed to ask a question between his heavy breathing as he had now approached within a few paces of Kinsetsu.

"We'll we are currently deep within the lairs of Las Noches, to what specific region I am not certain. The two individual standing together are Yamoto, a captain of the gotei 13 and Ryo, a Vizard. I myself am Kinsetsu, a lieutenant of the gotei 13. We are currently best served remaining here, as you can see we are in the presence of a powerful hollow and those troublesome armor suits." he spoke quietly as not to cause a huge disturbance.

Soujirou nodded his head in understanding, while still laying on the ground. He quickly looked up at the man and saluted him as he heard that the man was a lieutenant, then put his head back onto the ground. "Thanks for explaining the situation." With that, he called his stuffed animal towards him. "Hey Torakun. Wake me up when something happens, so I can get a little bit of rest." With that, Soujirou quickly fell asleep. His stuffed animal sat on his head, keeping watch of everything.

Powchii quickly removed his hand from the lifeless corpse as it was concealed in darkness. He listened in dismay as the sound of screeching metal rang in his ears. He noted it's silent dissapearance as it was swallowed into the shadows. He took a step back from Jes and looked towards the ground, his head hung sadly. He was unsure of what was going on and he felt a certain uselessness.

He looked back up at her his eyes full of light, 'Sorry,' he thought shaking his head. He offered up little help, "Shall I take care of these interlopers?" he asked with a bit of cockiness in his voice, "Why muddy your hands?" he took a step behind her left side his left hand balled into a fist and held to the height of his eyes.

'Why put on a show?' Gekko dryly asked.

The Generic Villain

Death -- it was an empty word for these beings whose very existence owed itself to a higher form of power beyond anything these people could comprehend. What is it really? Nothing more than a term used to explain the loss of life due to explainable or unexplainable causes. Just as their namesake, they were merely beings who had one purpose -- to follow their orders right down to the letter -- and that is something even 'death' will not stop.

The supposedly slain knight once again rose up, releasing itself from the hold of the shadows that once consumed it, and the breach in its armor quickly repairing itself until it had been good as new. Its eyes turned at its attacker, the female Arrancar whose power was almost limitless. Still, even with nearly limitless power, the Arrancar herself cannot hope to stop a tide of this magnitude all alone. Thinking so would not only be illogical, but also, it would be suicidal. A wise man once wrote that pride, or too much of it, was the biggest source of a leader's downfall. Would the case be the same for the exalted leader of Las Noches? The answer is something that only time would be able to reveal. However, with things as it is now, maybe one would not need to wait so long to know the answer?

It only took a moment for the beings' armors to soon change color from white to red and along with it the sound of ticking could be heard. Immediately after, they charged at the Arrancar who had attacked their brother, their Redeemers roaring brightly with an unearthly blue flame. The sound of ticking grew louder and louder as they moved more and more intensely as if it signified the ticking of its life until it expired. To those who have faced them before, they knew what to expect, but the same could not be said for the Arrancar and the Bount who were just about to be accustomed to these things. Whether or not the Shinigami chose to aid them would be their own decision, but as with their previous encounters with these beings, they will only attack once provoked. That was the iron-clad rule of the knights.

Data Analysis
Name: Phantasm
Power Level: Vice-Captain
Description: An unmanned armor unit created by CATHEDRAL primarily as an offensive unit, but since it has been known to kill its opponents, it has been redesigned as an anti-magic defensive unit instead. However, even with its power level and combat ability significantly lowered, it can more than make up for this in its ability to instantaneously regenerate from any damage inflicted upon it, however this ability has its limits and can only be used for a certain amount of times before it needs to be recharged. With it being an anti-magic unit, energy and magic attacks are rendered useless against this unit and it can only damaged by physical attacks and nothing else. What's more, its standard weapon, a modified Redeemer, is attached to its right arm also acts as a timer for a BREAK. When the timer stops and the BREAK mechanism is engaged, the Phantasm implodes and releases a wave of energy that could render anything within a 100 meter radius unconscious for an unspecified amount of time.

Conditions for Victory: Post 80 times by February 3. Failure to do so would render any RPC within the area, regardless of power or rank, unconscious until February 4.
